I got the same concern. And I just find out: you just leave an Google icon on first page. Now, you can tap it, same result as swipe left in Pixel launcher or Xperia home.

I have the new meizu pro 7 plus with flyme 6. I wanted to change the system launcher. It can not be deactivated. I can not put another launcher on standard. Can someone tell me how this works?

Hello. I have a problem with the Google launcher. I installed several launcher. And when I go into settings -> applications -> applications by default. All launches installed are present except for Google. I can not select the Google launcher. A solution please

Even if I choose any other launcher in "home app" it just reverts back to system launcher...

i think u must go in settings/apps/advanced and select the default launcher app.

Don't have this phone but other launchers work no problems right? Just have to go thru settings?
What about flyme ui gestures or mback? Do they work with other launchers? I know Nova and others have their own gestures but I wish to use flyme's more robust intuitive gestures with the costum homescreen.
The only way withthis Flyme OS is to use Nova Launcher that will simulate another launcher or version of the UI
Guys i am coming from Nexus 5 and pretty much used to google feed as my daily news driver. However, i do not seem to find a way to get it show up on my app vault (left drawer). I understand i can open Google app and see my feed but was wondering if there is a way to have it on left swipe like its available on stock android?
Also, anyone able to install and use RootlessPixel launcher on their Poco F1? I tried but could not get the intended UI as shown in youtube videos for other phones.

I will suggest smart launcher 5 it helps to keep icons near your thumb and fingers so that u need not to jump to top of the big screen again and again

and with the hyperion dock addon you get google feed on the left side swipe. it has a beta tree and updates come constantly.
I like this Launcher more then Nova Pro and i used nova launcher quite long maybe 4 years. try it out guys, y´all have nothing to loose it has a free version too!

How to set a permanent launcher so that it does not change on the vivo launcher ?
I was previously using Yandex launcher and will say it is best but recently switched to smart launcher bcz for larger screens it makes easy to show icons/options towards lower portion so easy to click using thumb.

You need to get a vivo account which requires a chinese phone number you can get at onlinesim.ru/en for a few cents (paypal possible). After adding the vivo account in the account menu in settings you can activate "allow the launcher to be replaced" in more settings / security and then change it at security / device manager and reboot.
But I don't know if this is necessary in the global version... Does anyone know?

No, this procedure is not required for the global version.
You can replace the stock launcher without any problem.

I installed the rootless pixel launcher from the play store and it only worked for a few hours and now will not load? I have the Global version of Nex S.
Update: After deleting and reinstalling and rebooting it seems to be holding fine.

What feature will I lose if I install an Action Launcher or Nova Launcher on my Home, instead of the default Huawei Launcher? In that case, how will I access Google Home.
When you also install Fluid N.G. app from Play store together with Nova Lancher for example you can setup your Home Button the way you want. I have it set to swipe up for Google Home .
Nova launcher together with nova companion. Then you do have all google functionalities.

How about the gesture navigation, knuckle screenshot, split screen etc

I have found nova to be the only launcher so far. Pixel launcher, lawn hair and other seem to just crash and smart recovery comes up recommending you uninstall

I can just swipe down anywhere on the home screen. It's a setting within Nova

i've tried Evie Launcher that i've a stored backup on my s7 edge, and i've some issue with gesture. when i swipe up it will open task manager and after go home.

Try Fluid N.G from the app store, gestures worked well with Nova when I experienced the same issue so this should help.

It works for me, just knock on screen and make a horizontal line.

Action Launcher also works very well
Stock widget doesn't work on any 3rd party launchers....
Recent Apps doesn't work right with nova launcher.
If you want to open the last app and just click the last App on the left(don't swipe), you will land on the Homescreen.
Also sometimes there is a light blue Background in the recent apps view, like if you select something.
Ich wish in the near future there will be an option to use navigation like in Stock Android. I've tried it out and it makes Multitasking really comfortable.
Any idea if there is a hack to add Google Feed to the launcher?

None yet that I'm aware of and as far as I know an alternate launcher won't work properly, best guess not from experience. If I get a chance I'll try to run Lawnchair and report back.

Lawnchair works and can give you Google news feed on the left end like you want. It's just a bit wonky switching between "postures." I went back to the Microsoft launcher for now and just put a shortcut to Google app and it works the same as the news feed on the left end.

thank you played around with it a bit still tweaking it, also using Google news feed app, just not liking the MS feed.
