Thank you guys in advance
256 gb confirmed working fine, gonna test if it support 400 gb or more
I've buy 1 TB Huawei micro sd, exfat formatted by default & cannot be recognized on my pocophone, then i reformat it to 1 TB fat32 still cannot be recognized, last thing i do is i shrink it out to 255 GB fat32 then it works fine, but I'm curious if it will work if i extend it to 400 GB as your case, gonna report it tomorrow, stay tune
1TB micro sd cards are scam, sorry

Just bought a 16Gb class 2 microSDHC card today, made by Kingston.
I had no idea it would work, just took the chance.
Well it is working
Since it seemed to be my lucky day, I tried to flash megade 1.7.3 from the 16g card -> it worked. He he,
... going to really use my JADE as an MP3 player now !
I am using 32gb. and thats the max.
oh by the way 64 will also supports High Capacity (SD 2.0/HC) .. so 64 may work in the future.
I think 16GB is enough.
thnxs guys for anwsers )
Hello,
As the title asks. Does anyone know if a 128 gb micro SD card will work in the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact? I ask because I know that usually, the limit these machines can handle is 64gb. And if so, does anyone use a 128GB card, and which one would you suggest? Many thanks for your time in reading this post and answering.

According to Sony spec. it supports up to 128 GB SDXC. Unfortunately I did not double check on my device.
Yes 128 works good on this baby
do you know if it supports uha-1 speeds?
Yes, i have 128gb class 10 and it works a charm.
I think your question is UHS1 OR 3 etc...
Mine is class 10 UHS1 and it is ok.
Any class 10 should be good enough, and if it has UHS rating, it is faster than those without UHS classification.
FYI, mine is Sandisk ultra.
Guys don't ever get sandisk ultra 64gb. I had 3 of their cards which was purchased at the same time and unfortunately it failed. The issue is rampant on their 64gb ultra (google Sandisk ultra cannot delete files). My micro sd suddenly became a read only device. Files are intact but i cant modify contents which means i cannot do format erase and anything. Practically it became a useless card. Already did windows low level format, tried to check drive permissions and it was not set in read only, no virus. The writting controller chip just broke down. for those who are planning to buy a card and have their cameras and their 4K vids automatically save in the sd card, then don't buy sandisk (at least The 64gb ultra). It seems their cards can't take much writing before it breaks

It's a shame you can't move any apps to the SD card, I have the LTE version and 16GB isn't enough space when you have a few games installed.
hey guys sorry if this question has been asked before but i know the g2mini sd card is expandable with 32 gigs of memory. I have seen some you tube videos of people getting phones to read cards with a greater capacity. My question is if i buy a 128 gig sd card will it work on my phone or will it only work partially on my phone? So will i be able to access all 128 gigs or will i only be able to access 32 gigs of it? for the record it would be a class 10 card.

well, officially the phone supports only 32GB sd cards, which are originally formated in NTFS. any bigger card withth NTFS will not work at all. however, if you format a bigger card to FAT32 (older), you can use it just fine, with only a few drawbacks (i don't know the exact numbers but the file size is somehow restricted, i think to 4GB or so, and also the number of items in root folder is limited). i cannot guarantee that it works with any sd card, but my 64GB kingston micro sd xc class 10 runns without any issues, with all 64000MB usable.

Samsung evo mini sd working too, I tested FAT32. No need more than 4gb in 1 file.
Just got my SanDisk 200GB microsd card from Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V62XBQQ
Seems to be working OK. Shows a formatted size of 180GB. I wanted to test this card due to being a road warrior and I transfer a lot of my Plex library to listen and watch on flights. I did not have time to do any benchmarks. I just wanted to let you guys know that it seems some larger size microsd cards seem to work with my K1.
Nice find! What are the factory r/w that it's supposed to have?
Attached benchmarks from PC Mag.
Can anyone recommend a good android sd card benchmark app?
Omg...almost laptop lol...
Actually my previous one had 80gb! good find.
Did Nvidia lift the 128GB limit?
What about formatting? NTFS or FAT32 or exFAT? They wanted to support more, but I never realized any news about that.
Don't know if the 128GB limit is based on their QA testing or a software/hardware limit. It doesn't seem to be a limit on my K1. Have not tried NTFS/EXT4/FAT32. So far just using it as internal storage on Marshmallow (Android 6.0).
Just a tip for anyone with lack of knowledge: SDXC supports up to 2TB, though most OEMs will advertise what is currently being sold at most for the general consumer. Just look at any modern compact system camera for reference with RAW support and you'll know what I'm talking about.

There's NO SUCH THING as 128GB limit. It's either 64GB or 2TB and nothing in between.
Even without exFAT, you can make 128GB SD/TF card work by formatting it as FAT32 on your computer, it just won't be standard-compliant. To claim [insert arbitrary >64 number]GB support, you must have exFAT.
I own a nvidia shield tv and a sandisk 200Go microsd. I can insure you that 1/ nvidia just test with 128Go sdcards ntfs formated, nothing else, 2/ the 200Gb even when ntfs formated (196go left) is seen as a 183Go disk by the shield, but 3/ even if that 183Go I have frame freeze and sounds glitches when playing moovies from the disk. I suspect a serious limitation within android 6.0 to support "large" sdcard. I have no issue playing the exact same movie on the shield from a 16go usb key. I tried ntfs, hfs+, exfat (the worse which makes several media player crash) with no real success. In my opinion, it's related to the size and also bitrate (read in this case) not sustained by the shield / android tv. I ask nvidia to look into the issue and a "case" should be opened but if it's related to android it's more an os issue that google should take care of. This is the answer I am expecting from nvidia next level support. Best regards,
Can anyone confirm that 200 GB micro SD works fine ? I'm about to purchase one ( same as OP, I'm kinda of a road warrior, need my storage space)
Benchmarks? Issues with playback or gaming?

I second this question because they are on sale at Amazon for only $60 right now ;p seems like a steal ;p
I ordered mine today from BHPhotovideo (i get taxed in CA for amazon). I'll report back in a few days after I receive my microsd.
Awaiting your results , eagerly

Happy to report it's working! I just recieved it from BHPhotovideo.com for $60 and I just put it into my k1 and it recognized right away.
"SanDisk SD card"
1.50MB used of 183GB
- FAT 32 default. I'll leave it as FAT32 because this is really for Plex sync storage =p I don't need 4+gb files to be on my tablet.
Any chance you could do a quick benchmark?
By the way super thanks(!!) for the update

A1 SD Bench
Read: 75.58MB/s
Write: 14.96MB/s
FAT32, 166,075MB free of 187,714MB
in my K1 this sd card brings
Read: 66.19 MB/s
Write: 15.47 MB/s
But cannot format the card as internal storage. Trying so gives me the message that SD card is too slow to be used as internal storage
Internal Memory's Speed is
Read: 135.72 MB/s
Write: 31.80 MB/s
Please format the card as NTFS and try again. NTFS is significantly faster on the Shield.
But this will likely only work on external storage mode, because the device re-reformats the card for internal storage again.
Hello.
I 've been reading a lot of (bad) stories with micro sd incompatibilities.
Since i want to use mine as internal storage, i want to be certain that it will work
I am between samsung (the new red pro ones,20mb/sec) and the new toshiba excesior ones (30mb/sec write, 2016 model).
Anyone had any luck with these?
Should they be ntfs formatted when inserted in the tablet?
Thanks in advance.
Hi vadergr,
i tested some different sd cards twoe 64 gb class 10 cards (samsung and lexar), they are verry slow for me. So i decided to buy a sandisk microSD extreme Pro with 64 gb but hab no luck with it, because the card was dead on arrival. So i went to my tech store and by a 128gb Sandisk Ultra, an now i'm fine with it. Fast reading speed (44mb/s) and solid write speed (23mb/s). All in all its ok and the tablet runs verry well with it. I run on Android 7 nougat and use the SD as internal storage.
128gb Sandisk Ultra
Greetings
ShrekDTH
I used Memento EXpert 128GB from memorette. I tested it out on PC, make a full read/ write to make sure it has got full capacity and then insert into the tablet. One interesting thing is the tablet recognized the card as Lexar Media (which is quite reputable). I formatted it as the internal storage.
So far, apart from heating up during game-plays, it is quite stable.

I had issues with mine set up as internal storage after i went past 128GB of data on it. went back to my Samsung 128GB Pro microSDXC and worked like a champ. the 256 works well as external storage. I did notice longer boot times with the more data i added to the micro sd card. i opted to stay away from internal storage for now.
