Some Moto apps aren't going to run under AOSP, at least not the AOSP roms I tried. You may have to live without the Moto apps or try another rom.

With samsung devices you can use the two cameras at the same time (front and main cameras). I think that feature is called 'dual shot' or so.

Hello guys i have a moto g5s plus and i recently downloaded two apk's - moto key and moto voice.
However these two are feature of new moto app that is on the moto x series.But fortunately the moto key app is working perfectly fine for me,but the case with moto voice is different,it is not working although the app is installed.
Anybody knows a way to get it working on g5s plus.

Hi. That's because of the Camera 2 API limitations.
I'm having the same issue.
Try downloading another versions. I found one that allows me to use the front camera with the full image resolution (24 megapixels), but the rear camera only can take photos with 8 megapixels, unfortunately.
Tell me the version that can use the front camera, please?

Hi, i´ve been doing some research and i found a v6.2 and v7.009. I tried both on my Moto G8 plus and v6.2 was more stable and fast but it may because I have the default configuration. If you want you can play with the parameters and tell us the results

any new development in Gcam for G8 Plus? i am facing lot of focusing issue with Laser AF even in Stock cam.

I recently purchased a Moto G8 Plus and grabbed the GCam APK from here: https://www.cyanogenmods.org/moto-g8-plus-gcam-7-0/
It is v7.3 by Parrot043, it installed & works great and is noticeably better then the Motorola camera app even by my untrained eye.
However I was wondering, are there any settings I should tweak? I have found posts online for other phones with lists of changes or XML files to load. Thanks in advance for anyone in the know!

Hi I have just bought a motorola g8 plus, great phone. I have tested a working gcam, all good except I cannot use the ultrawide camera.
Is there any xml setting I have to change to use it?
Is there any developer that want to try to make a fully working gcam version?
Many developers are on redmi or xiaomi, I see none on motorola, why?

I installed GCam v7.3 by parrot43, and it's work fine for the most part. Low light shots are hugely improved, and daytime shots show increased dynamic range. All of which makes the G8 Plus a pretty decent performer for its price.
Only quirk is that Night Sight mode rotates the image when shooting pics in landscape. Not sure if that's a real flaw, or if a setting that can be changed in the config.
It's not a huge deal, but I'd appreciate it if anyone can offer some insight here.
Hypercam Strike, im using it for a while now, got excellent results, no crash.

What's the diffrence with this and Gcam? The Pixel is a google phone right, so supposing it has much similarities?
I've tried the GCam v7.3 by parrot43, and tested it against the stock app.
The Gcam gives much better quality in bright and low light conditions. Sharper and less noise.
But it gives verry terrible results with panorama photos. Could not find anny settings for it so far. But the stock app gives much better results here. How's this Pixelcam performing here?
I can't seem te find an option to save images on the SD-card with Gcam (rooted G8 plus). How's this on the Pixelcam?
