Got this tablet few days ago and its great.
And i have a issue with camera (I tried 3 different S8-50F in store and all have same issue but i still got 1 for myself)
Here is the thing.
1. When you open camera and want to take photo all is great.
2. Swap to video and you have zoom like 2.5x (as a default) or more (you cannot un-zoom, only more zoom up to 6x more)
Called Lenovo support and they have no idea how to help except send us brand new unit for service but what about rest of those two i tried in store with same issue should Bestbuy send them too
Is there any settings that can be done or any app that i can use for video recording.
Can`t post links yet to show pictures of what i am talking about for better understanding.

Recently I got to hear that google camera app won't work on mobiles with MediaTek processor. Can anyone in the forum know why?
Can anyone let us suggest an application best in camera performance... Similar to Google Camera HDR+ app... Its insane in its way.

Google Camera uses API called camera2API which helps it to directly get information from camera sensors and it is disabled in Realme / Oppo devices and only way to enable by end users are via root .

GCam app needs Camera2 API & EIS support.
Ask Realme at Facebook or Twitter...they may enable them in their next/future Firmware update.

I downloaded the 6.2 version of the gcam on my Galaxy S9+ Snapdragon(SM-G9650) but it is not working how it should or how people says it does. Everytime I take a picture it looks totally green and the portrait mode doesn't even open when I try to use it.
Can anyone provide me with the best version of it and with the instructions how to configure the settings to get it working?

Hi, i´ve been doing some research and i found a v6.2 and v7.009. I tried both on my Moto G8 plus and v6.2 was more stable and fast but it may because I have the default configuration. If you want you can play with the parameters and tell us the results

any new development in Gcam for G8 Plus? i am facing lot of focusing issue with Laser AF even in Stock cam.
So far I've found the best version is the GCam APK 7.0.009 parrot043 build version PopugVersion_V11_1. Anyone else had luck with newer versions of 7.3?

I recently purchased a Moto G8 Plus and grabbed the GCam APK from here: https://www.cyanogenmods.org/moto-g8-plus-gcam-7-0/
It is v7.3 by Parrot043, it installed & works great and is noticeably better then the Motorola camera app even by my untrained eye.
However I was wondering, are there any settings I should tweak? I have found posts online for other phones with lists of changes or XML files to load. Thanks in advance for anyone in the know!

Hi I have just bought a motorola g8 plus, great phone. I have tested a working gcam, all good except I cannot use the ultrawide camera.
Is there any xml setting I have to change to use it?
Is there any developer that want to try to make a fully working gcam version?
Many developers are on redmi or xiaomi, I see none on motorola, why?

I installed GCam v7.3 by parrot43, and it's work fine for the most part. Low light shots are hugely improved, and daytime shots show increased dynamic range. All of which makes the G8 Plus a pretty decent performer for its price.
Only quirk is that Night Sight mode rotates the image when shooting pics in landscape. Not sure if that's a real flaw, or if a setting that can be changed in the config.
It's not a huge deal, but I'd appreciate it if anyone can offer some insight here.

What's the diffrence with this and Gcam? The Pixel is a google phone right, so supposing it has much similarities?
I've tried the GCam v7.3 by parrot43, and tested it against the stock app.
The Gcam gives much better quality in bright and low light conditions. Sharper and less noise.
But it gives verry terrible results with panorama photos. Could not find anny settings for it so far. But the stock app gives much better results here. How's this Pixelcam performing here?
I can't seem te find an option to save images on the SD-card with Gcam (rooted G8 plus). How's this on the Pixelcam?
