Hi guys, I figured this out last year and after finding a forum about bypassing securely on here about it I decided to make a post about it so enjoy
Step 1:
Go to https://cdome.comodo.com/shield/ click get it for free, and create an account
When you've finished signing up, go back to https://cdome.comodo.com/shield/# and login (Your username is your email).
Step 2:
When you first login a box should popup onto your screen with a bunch of green text at the bottom of it. If this doesn't happen, on the top right part of your screen there should be a button that says setup wizard in blue. Just click that.
Step 3:
For this step, you will have to be at whatever place you need it blocked at. Make sure your connected to your school or work wifi, then open a new tab and go to https://whatsmyip.com/ and copy the ip it tells you. Close that tab and now paste the numbers into where it says Ipv4 address/ FQDN. Name it whatever you want, then click save, next, and "start using dome shield".
Step 4:
Now in the top left of your screen you should see a button that says configure. Click it. On the left hand side of the screen now, you should see a menu with the option B/W lists under policy settings. Click that, and then click new B/W list in the top right. As usual, give it a name, and click next. For this part, first, make sure blacklist is ticked and not whitelist. Now what you need to do is in the domain name field, add securly.com, press the plus next to where you just typed that, and press create.
Step 5:
Now, using the menu on the right, click add new policy at the top.. Give it a name, and for object select the wifi you named in step three, and click next. What you need to do now it make sure that both switches at the top are moved to the right, and then under domain B/W list tick the one that you made in the last step and then click save. That's all you need to do on the website.
Step 6:
Now all you need to do is open your chromebook settings by clicking your icon on the far right of your shelf, and then clicking the gear icon on the menu that pops up. In the window that pops up, click on wifi, it should be the first option. Select the wifi that you used in the previous steps, and then expand the network tab. Scroll down, and you should see a section labeled name servers. Select custom name servers, and you should now see four lines for text input. In the first one, put 8.26.56.10 and in the second put 8.20.247.10 and you can leave the last two blank.
Step 7:
The last thing you need to do is pretty quick. Just go to chrome://net-internals/#dns and click clear host cache.
Afterward:
Now your done! It may take a few minutes to take effect so be patient. If it doesn't try disconnecting and reconnecting to the wifi and clearing the cache again. Soon though, you should notice that securely doesn't do anything anymore. Pretty much what you have done, is made it so when your Chromebook asks securely if a page needs blocked, securely doesn't respond and your Chromebook assumes its okay. The only problem with this method is that you have to setup each wifi you want things unblocked on, so for every new wifi you want unblocked you need to repeat steps 3 and 5-7. Overall though, I would say this is the best way because your only going to use the Chromebook at whatever place issued it to you and maybe your house so you only really need to do it at most twice. That's all, and if you have any questions or problems please ask and I'll do my best to help

Yikes, doesn't work at all
i put bit.ly/securlysucks in my browser and left it there for a little and nothing happend, everything is still blocked, any other things i can do to block securly?
This doesn't work lol
I don't like wanna watch innapropiate things I just want to watch YouTube
I reccomend if all this doesn't work just use your phone or regular computer. I also saw somebody like take apart the chromebook heres the link
This MIGHT work because you could unenroll and then disable the Securly or whatever.
You could also tell your school to stop using it but I doubt that will work.
The website is blocked.

this link might work for you for youtube https://jonahkc.github.io/youtube-unblcked/
wouldnt it be better for a coder to create a whole browser thing that cant get the school blocker through coding but you can access that browser through google and make it to where the school cannot block it

for some reason https://www.unblockyoutube.co/ is not blocked, and this is a proxy that is not slow, but for some reason I get an error code 520 but for most of my classmates it works as a proxy that you can use to play anything. this link https://rmehy1.sse.codesandbox.io/ sometimes works sometimes it doesn't but it isn't blocked for me. you can change the tab title and icon whenever you are using your proxy, for example, you could change shell shockers title to classroom and the image to look like classroom but if the teachers have securely classroom if they look at your tabs they can still see what you are doing, It also has some built-in games. The bad thing about it though is that it is a bit slow and some of the proxies (since you can pick which proxy you want to use) don't even work. this might work for you but it doesn't work for me https://website-aio.jonasflynn.repl.co/

Hy everyone,
I've tried searching the forums for a solution but no luck..
Is there any way to save a number while having a conversation?
if i select the "keypad" during a call, and write down a number, there isn't a "save to contacts" option or anything similar to that..
i've fiddled around a bit and the only thing remotely similar to what i need is only an option to save a note during the call, but that is absolutely ridiculous, why would i want to save a note and then go and retrieve it.. i just want to save a contact while talking...
I take it that the phone number you want to save to contacts is different to the telephone call you are currently connected to.
Why not, while on a call, press the Home button, then select the Contacts tab, then select New Contact. You can then write the number in the new contact, along with other details.
hey fred_up thanks for the reply!
actually i did thought of that right after i posted the question, but i just think it's sad that we need to perfotm so many actions in order to do such a simple task... one i used to do once without even taking the phone away from my ear... (and no - i'm not complaining about my hd2, i love it despite its little flaws).
A very handy bit of software is called AutoLoudspeaker - if you do a search, you'll find it on this site. As soon as you take the phone away from your ear (ie the screen lights up via the proximity sensors) the phone goes automatically into loudspeaker mode. That'll take one step out of the process.
No doubt some clever clogs will develop some registry edit that means a long press of the Windows button will open up a new contact page.
Yeh i'm aware of that option, and i use it sometimes when at home, doing the coocking or dishes when the GF is out or while playing pc games but it doesnt really meet my needs when i need to remember a nuber for just a second after i hang up..

Now THAT WOULD BE GENIOUSLY AWESOME!
or maybe even a little app, that is called "numbers" for that matter, which can be located on the home tab and when opening it you'll get a numpad and a screen, and would be able to save numbers in a big font, only numbers, nothing else, the numbers will stay on the screen untill you decide to delete them.
unlike the notepad which saves the notes in a file you need to open, and which is not so finger friendly when coming to fast numbering..
food for thought
maybe i'll just forward the idea to a new app request

may be you can put in a quicklink for 'calculator' on home screen..
I have one, but for that matter - you cannot save numbers you type in the calc, they just vanish once the app is closed, and also - i don't like using things for a purpose they were not meant for, it feels a little stupid..
use panaromic calculator, pressing the x only minimises the program

Hi all,
I'm testing Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 5. It looks nice, but I can't get Dekko to run. (And, running a smart phone without an e-mail client is a no-go for me.)
When I launch Dekko, I get the logo and the ubuntu spinning wheel, but then it switches to a white screen. I guess that I should get a wizard of some kind to set up at least one account.
Any idea where as to what is happening?
I'm running Vivid from the MultiROM download.

I think the best idea would be to report it on the official bug tracker and upload your log files from ~/.cache/upstart/application-click-dekko.dekkoproject_dekko_0.5.8.log* there. That way you can talk directly to the developers.
(You can use the Ubuntu One account which you also use on your phone.)

Dekko is still clunky and buggy, but I get (after the spinning thing) a nav-bar with "all, unread, starred" etc. The main body is white. I use the menu button in the top left (which sometimes works) to set up accounts, and to call each account up when checking mail. Is this menu button available to you?
I switched to rc-updates and am now on r122, Dekko now brings up a mailbox selector at startup, but then unfortunately crashes...

Thanks! I needed to know where the log file was. I found out that several .qml files seem to be missing.
I'll follow-up directly in the bug tracker.
Hello everyone
This is my first time to the forum
I recently got the 2016 honda civic and it comes with android auto and carplay (for iphone). The car is great however I noticed that there is an "apps" section in the IMID display. There's options to install apk files on a USB drive, browser/search when connected to WI-FI, and a downloader app to view progress of downloads. I've tried having the apk files on a USB and was able to see the apk files, but the "install" button was grayed out so I couldn't install it. I looked on the web for tutorials on getting around it. Since the IMID is linux / android based - I managed to find the android settings window, select "about", scrolled down to "build #", and tapped it 7 times to try and enter the developer mode. I get the countdown till I enter developer mode, but after the last tap, it asks to enter a "passcord" which I think is a typo for "password"? and no keyboard appears to do any sort of typing for the password. I wanted to see if anyone got further than I did.
Tried a lot of things to see if there was a way to access the developer mode or by pass the car system to be able to install apps. I've read it's futile but just wanted to give it a shot.
Thank you for any help / advice!

Hello,
I was digging in some more and found this under System>Legal Information>Open source licenses
When I selected "Open Source Licenses," it discusses the open source software and provides a link that I posted below.

I have some software background but this is beyond what I can understand for Linux/android coding language.
Has anyone heard of updates?
This code appears to just be for the Bluetooth protocol stack, BlueZ. I don't think it would be useful. Is there any other downloads in that text?

Unfortunately, I've tried digging in more, but haven't found anything besides the open source download link. But thank you for taking a look into what is in the source code. :good: All I know was that it was in C/C++ which I do not have a lot of expertise in following.
We just need to figure out how to get passed the "enter passcord" issue :/ or other methods of cracking into the system. I greatly appreciate the help

Thanks, I got my code, but now, how to type it in? It doesn't provide a keyboard.
Btw, the device has about 2G disc space.
Nice! Thanks for the info =) . For the keyboard entry, first thing I would try would be either trying to pair the radio with a bluetooth keyboard or simply plugging a USB keyboard in the USB connector inside the car. Chances are, it might be able to load the proper drivers by default if Android was not too much modified. Still, a long shot. Otherwise, I am rather surprise that there are no software keyboard on the device...

The unit has a software keyboard (it pops up in different places, like the browser for ex), it just doesn't pop up in this case. I guess it is disabled on purpose. I don't have a bluetooth or USB keyboard. Will have to search one. Actually, I'm thinking there should be some hidden USB port somewhere because the ones exposed are very limited.
Apparently if you
[...]enter the diagnostic menu press the green power button, menu button, and brightness setting button at the same time. Diagnostic menu will pop up in about 2 seconds. If it does work take your finger off the buttons and try again. To enter the developers menu select detail information & setting then hold the menu button. Maybe there is more to be done this way...?
The radio seems to be able to provide a lot of information about the car (a CANBus connection?). Let me know if it gets you any further =) . But still, the USB keyboard seems to me like one the most promising ways of inputing the code you obtained at the moment...
The radio code is only for theft protection. Normally the head unit stores the VIN for its original car and will lock if it gets put in a car with a different/inaccessible VIN. The code lets you unlock the head unit then. You can actually view it in one of the diagnostic menus.
I can confirm that a USB keyboard plugged into either of the two USB ports does not work. I have found out a few things, though. If you open the browser and go into Google or something so the on-display keyboard appears, you can then plug in the USB keyboard and the on screen keyboard will glitch. It will not allow you to type on the USB one. This to me seems like the device is purposefully recognizing the USB, then blocking it from being used. It would make sense to be that there may be a third, hidden USB somewhere that allows much more access.
I also have a 2016 Civic and went through all same things.
On another note, has anyone figured out how to do the brake bypass, how to ground it? I used the web browser by tethering my phone and youtube videos loaded fine, but it won't work if the car is not parked. Anyone know how to have functionality while the car is in motion?

It's more complicated than that I'm sure. I'm pretty sure it's getting speed sensor information. Also in the hidden diagnostic menu there are two entries that are something like VIDEO Moving or something like that and it's value is 0 meaning that it's off.

At my school, we have Chromebooks and a service/extension called securly. Me and my buddies have been trying to bypass it since it was first introduced last year. We are cool with the tech teacher and we have been trying to get passed him for a long time.
Any help on bypassing securly?
Note, inspect element has been blocked along with all extensions except for some adblockers. You can also only sign in on our district accounts. I do not want to powerwash it nor uninroll it(if that's how you spell it haha)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
Gavin
My buddies and I. Unenroll. Spend less time on youtube, more time learning...
Kinda have the same situation with my Technology Director at my High school, Still cant figure it out.
I Have an understanding that we have to un-enroll to bypass the extension because you can't just "Uninstall" a forced extension on a managed Chromebook.
And on top of that, Google's patched all the forced enrollment bypasses, so its pretty much impossible right now unless you literally replace parts on the computer.
all you have to do is open a console (default chrome: ctrl+shift+j) and put this code in: var a=true;while(a){alert(a);}
then hit enter. when the msg box appears, click the check box that says "prevent this page from showing additional diologs" (or something like that)
your filter should be disabled until you restart.
DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GET IN TROUBLE FOR THIS. THIS IS PURELY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. I DO NOT CONDONE ANY ILLEGAL ACTIVITY OR ANY ACTIVITY AGAINST SCHOOL RULES.
Solution
I have found a way that there is no way to prevent: open task manager with search+escape and disable the securly task. It's kind of finicky though, as it only gives you like 2 second of freedom and sometimes reloads all of your tabs, but if you load a blocked page it won't kick in unless you click a link to a different place on the page.
Also, if you want to un-enroll the chromebook from enterprise manegment, I would suggest buying an m-sata ssd and pulling the one that's in the chromebook out and putting the bought one in until you turn it in at the end of the year. the fresh one won't have enterprise managment on it.
Hope this helps!
Might have a solution?
Hey Rootaholic, I may have found a way, first, go into your extensions tab and at the top of the page click the box that says "Developer Mode", then go down to the Securly extension and click Background Page, then go into the network tab, it's recording, stop the recording and click the box right next to Offline, this may work but I don't have Securly on my Chromebook so your mileage may vary depending on however the filtering is done.
I have tried the development mode and it didn't work please help me with my problem

Hmm, well problem is if I want to work on this find any security holes, then I need Securly, but I don't have Securly at all, so sorry but I don't have ideas at the moment. Sorry
Hey, my school has the same problem. But my friend found a bypass:
Go to a site that is blocked and copy and paste a the site's url into your browser. Then press the search key and escape key (it will open the Task Manager). Very quickly end the task "Securely" and press enter to go to the site in the search bar (the link you copy and pasted in the search bar).
You can access any site.
If you have any questions just ask.
Good Luck.

all you have to do is open a console (default chrome: ctrl+shift+j) and put this code in: var a=true;while(a){alert(a);}
then hit enter. when the msg box appears, click the check box that says "prevent this page from showing additional diologs" (or something like that)
your filter should be disabled until you restart.

Good Luck.

All of these methods have been patched at my school district, don't know about others tho.
restart chromebook, wifi off, chrome://inspect, go to other, wait for oobe locke, click it, go to application, click rea more about the web manifest, and it opens an incognito tab
If you change the language of the website it works
Nothing works!
I've tried everything (except the ssd idea- hope to do that soon!), and nothing works. I can't end securly processes (blocked), I can't open a console (ctrl-shift-j doesn't work and ctrl-alt-t, the developer shell, is blocked), and developer mode (both for extensions and chromebook itself) is blocked. :crying:
My friends have found a way to block securely all you have to do is go to the chrome web store, click on extensions and then search VPS it will keep you connected to your regular WiFi but it will change your location to make it seem like your in Mexico or something. There is another detention that my friends use but they won't tell me what it is. Because if you know a securely hack than you're in an exclusive club. Hope this helps.
I found a bypass 4 inspect element BUT I FORGOT it. we were messing around and i finally got it and closed out my securely with window.close () on chrome://inspect//extensions. Oh ya the whole school could use inspect too i do not know what my friend did but they found out in 1 hr xD

I don't know why but everytime my school computer crashes it disables the securly extension until I reboot the computer.
same tho
securly is worthless and pointless it blocks music that is allowed at school and not the videos it should
Same Issue!
I am experiencing the same thing at my school. I am using the blocked chromebook right now to say this.
I was smart enough to figure out how to bypass things on these chromebooks because I do somewhat a lot of coding and other things similar to that.
There is an extension called 'Unblock Everything' on the chrome web store and when you click it, it allows you to go on whatever blocked website on here. When you get it, there will be yellow and black colors on the extension logo so when you see it, get it.
Next thing is I would use that to go on YouTube to find tutorials on getting Inspect Element on a BLOCKED chromebook. I would use that to edit things I did on quizzes in Google Classroom.
There would be things like Episode Interactive that would be blocked so I use this to code on there and to go to links like these!
I hope this helped a lot!
P.S. There are many other tutorials to unblocking different things so if you could find those, please share them with me! Hope I was helpful!
The "End Process" button is faded oml why
**Let me start off by saying that I have not had a chance to verify but I do not have the error that NFC is not enabled anymore.**
Requirements -
1. Android Pay (Google Pay will not work on my watch although I read a post by someone who says it works on theirs)
2. Tasker installed on phone
3. Autowear Plugin to Tasker installed on phone and watch
4. A PC with adb installed
Step 1: Enable Developer Options on Watch
Step 2: Turn on ADB Debugging and Debug over WiFi
Step 3: Open command prompt or powershell in the folder where you have adb (hold shift and right click)
Step 4: In powershell, type adb connect 198.162.X.X:5555 (use the actual IP of your watch). Press Enter. The watch will prompt you to accept the connection. Select Always Allow.
Step 5: Type adb shell pm grant com.joaomgcd.autowear android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS. Press Enter. It may take a minute or two but if you don't receive an error, it worked.
Step 6: Open Tasker on your phone. Select Tasks. Hit the + sign in the bottom right. Select Plugin -> Autowear -> Secure Settings. When the new window opens, click the pencil next to Configuration. Set Command to Execute to &CONNECTED&. Click Custom Setting. Setting Type is Global, Name is <NFC>, Input type is Toggle, and Value is 1. Once all those are set, click the back arrow to get back to the AutoWear Secure Settings page. Click the checkmark at the top to save the settings.
Step 7: In powershell on the pc, type adb install com.google.android_apkmirror.com.apk. Press Enter. It should say Success once it finishes.
Step 8: On your phone, under the Task Edit screen (where you should be if you did not exit out from step 6) click the "Play" button on the bottom left. You should get a green dot next to the word configuration at the top.
Step 9: Open Android Pay on the watch. It will take you through the setup and tell you to finish on your phone. Once you finish adding a card, it should show up on the watch. "To pay with your watch, you need to turn on NFC" will show up and blink a couple of times then go away. It should show your card with "Hold to terminal.." above it.
This is something I threw together real quick to get the word out. Like I said in the beginning, I have not tried it at a terminal yet. As soon as I do, I will repost with results. Also in the near future, I will streamline the process, add a command to Tasker to keep NFC on always, and hopefully pay without opening the Android Pay app on the watch (Simply have the watch unlocked). I have attached the Android Pay apk below. If anyone tries this and uses the watch at a terminal, please post results.
I had a feeling a developer would find a way. I wonder why google pay isn't working for you and why Android pay says it needs NFC when it is already enabled. Have you tested to see if it does indeed enable it?

I am in no way a developer. Just trying some stuff out. I tried to Pay with the watch and it did not work. Hopefully someone with some knowledge and experience will see something here and guide us in the right direction to get this working.
That could mean one of two things, either the watch's NFC is not actually on or Android pay is not transmitting the signal.
This does not actually enable NFC. I tried paying with Google Pay and it did not detect anything. I don't think NFC can be enabled without root and adding some files that are missing.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Labs
Verizon promised to add pay and turn NFC on I say we hold them to it as owners of their watch discontinued or not this is as advertised.

Is it possible that kernel doesn't include NFC drivers? Kernel sources here contain the NFC drivers, but are they on the device?
Hi,
Added a tag to Title to avoid confusion.
I really appreciate the kind of topics you post here. Thanks for sharing information that is actually helpful. Good day!
Not working for me so far. I'm going to try it again at a McDonalds kiosk, but I found something of relevance...
It appears no NFC service is registered on my Wear24, so if there's no service to call... there should be no way to enable NFC. Note that I'm on AW 2.15
Log proving no service exists: https://textuploader.com/dvc7s
The only way to fix this is with a whole new ROM update, be it by the community or Verizon.
Anything going on?
Now that we have got the new wearOS 2.0 and nothing from Verizon coukd we pretty much say that the odds of getting Google Pay working on this watch are almost none?
