should work, but why you relock your bootloader? follow just the Instruction from Bin4ry with unlocked bootloader... works fine and you got root then

Download the oficial firmware, and install with FlashTools (version 8.0).
Its simple...

sorry if it was not very clear
because it's very fresh download i figured u wont mind resetting data
well - it does reset the device but if u untick wipe data it wont
first download and save to sdcard the superuser.zip (i recommend from koushik - cwm guy)
then u have to install flashtool on your desktop
also u need fastboot available as well
u also need the relock ftf file to use from flashtool
u need to have recovery elf file (i used thp -thanks 4 the work)
u need to know your bl unlock code from sony (if u r here u know it)
flash the rom
unlock bt using the fastboot command:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x**********
then fastboot flash boot thp-kernel-filename.elf
enter recovery
install the superuser zip
now reboot to flash mode (vol-dn+pwr)
from flashtool flash the bootloader-relock.ftf
again from flashtool flash the jb ftf but deselect everything but the kernel
deselect wipe data
then disconnect and reboot
u will see the initial setup screen only if wiped data
might be asked to shutdown once - do it
power on and u have rooted device (no recovery but it wont take long)

hi anyone manage to convert custom img kernel to ftf and be able to flashed it with flashtools without any error?
I have managed to convert img kernel to ftf but facing error while flashing it in flashtools.
The reason that I did that because of my phone won't allow bootloader to be unlocked. And my phone are sim unlocked+test point method bootloader unlock but no fastboot mode.

this is not possable.....
for custom kernel you willl need unlock bootloader from oem or you can use S1 tool to patch bootloader

Hi!
My Neo V is sim and fastboot locked. I unlocked it via testpoint and tried to make a kernel.sin and after a flashable ftf. Here is a guide for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39544867&postcount=9
1. Convert boot.img to kernel.ftf
2. Unlock your phone via testpoint
3. Copy Flashtool/devices/R800/loader_unlocked.sin to Flashtool/devices/mt11
4. Flash the kernel
5. Boot into recovery
6. Install rom and gapps
Now I'm using cm10 without any problem! Good luck!

- Restore your TA partition using the tool 'flashtool'
- use Flashtool and press the BLU button and choose "Relock".
If you are on a custom ROM you wont be able to boot. You'll need to be on a Sony ROM, with a stock kernel.
Otherwise don't lock the bootloader.

If so just use Xperia firm and download the latest firmware for your device and region.. put it on a folder and unzip it remove the ta. files and the persist.sin file do not take anything out of the folders ... Now get Newflasher (version 13 the one I prefer) you can find it here . . ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...-newflasher-xperia-command-line-t3619426/amp/ ) take a minute to read over the op...
Once you flash you new firmware, just flash twrp ..

fastboot flash recovery ( name of twrp your using).img , the easy way, rename your twrp image to twrp and put it in your adb/fastboot folder.. then in that folder bring up the command prompt and put your fastboot mode and flash twrp..

When you download using Xperia firm alone it doesn't make an an ftf type file but a bunch of little files, thus the reason I said read up on how to use newflasher...
no you are misunderstanding, I mean the ftf file exists but is not detected in flashtool,when i using flashtool 9.18 file ftf is can be detect but when i flash it error says "this bundle is not valid"
