The Mediatek MT6753 powered K10000 Max. Anyone know of any custom roms for it? I've read about porting a rom made for another device with the same chipset & kernel but haven't found any. Am i really stuck with the stock firmware?
I already miss Resurrection Remix
Thanks.

I have seen a device tree of this device on GitHub, maybe it could be used to build a rom

Hello,
I read alot lately about porting Lollipop (CM 12.1) to my device (Allview V1 Viper which is basically a rebranded Gionee Elife E3) but i have some questions:
1. As far as i understood, there are some problems with CM and Mediatek devices. However i saw some posts with people succeeding to boot CM 12.1 on these devices. Can this be achieved ?
2. If yes, can i use KitKat stock kernel with a Lollipop build ? (my common sense says no, but who knows ?) If no, how can i build a kernel for Lollipop for this device. I saw that Mediatek released kernel source, can that be used ? Also, can i use the drivers from KitKat ? If no, which and where should i get the drivers from ? Can i use any files from KitKat stock rom for a Lollipop port ?
This will clear some things for the beginning.
Thanks in advance
Hey there,
I've previously ported MIUI to my MT6582 device but I still consider myself a noob especially when it comes to CM.
My device is called Innjoo Note E and running stock Kitkat..There're no custom ROMs available for it so I wanna try to port CM 11.
What exactly do I need apart from my Stock ROM? What're the correct procedures for porting?
btw I stumbled upon this while googling around.. is it legit?

I am also on the same track. Did you get anything useful?
Hi guys,
I'm here to ask you a good MT6592(m) porting guide. I just bought my new THL 5000T, a MT6592m Octa-Core with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and 5000mAh battery! It's a monster. It has 4.4.2 stock firmware and I saw someone ported MIUI 7 for it, on NeedROM. But I also saw LolliPop and CyanogenMOD ROM ported to MT6592.
I searched over Internet and I discovered that porting MT6592/T ROMS on MT6592m works flawlessly, so MT6592 (1.7Ghz), MT6592T(2.0Ghz) and MT6592m(1.4Ghz) ROMS are interchangeable.
So I started trying to port some ROMs like OctOS, CM12.1 and even KitKat Roms like AICP or CM11. I searched obviously the porting guide. Well....Here's the problem
Over internet there are thousands of guides, all differents each other, and NO ONE WORKING GOOD
I also tried to mix them by copying as many files from stock as possible. No luck. The only ROM that booted to launcher was OctOS but no network, no sim, no 3g, no nothing. I tried to fix them by "Bugs fixing guides" over internet, but they result in bootloop.
I'm here to asking you, my favourite and main Android modding forum, if someone has got the definitive guide for porting MT6592(m) ROMs.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my english, I'm Italian

I can not help you about your problems, but I'm interested in, how you were returned to stock rom after installing a custom ROM. I also have problems with the installation and instructions on how to install ROMs on mtk

Hello guys
I am litle bit confused
I find a AOSP 5.1 rom for Lenovo Tab 2 A8-50LC
My question is: Will it work if i flash it on 50F?
They are same device, same specs, only chipset is different. 50LC is running MT8735 and 50F is running MT8161. Only thing they are not same is that 50F is Wi-Fi only, no sim card.
I saw a thread about porting roms to MTK devices but i am not sure if it works with this chipsets. Should i try to flash that rom or port it by swaping files from stock to aosp rom like in thread? Help is greatfull, thanks :fingers-crossed:
Dont flash with that rom,it will brick your device.
Sent from my Lenovo A7020a48 using Tapatalk
But see this
Will this work? Because it say almost any mediatek device https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701283
EDIT:Guys i did a litle research about this thing and all i see here what is needed is rom porting.
How do i port rom in situation like this? It have almost same specs, only chipset is different.
So any tip or link to thread for rom porting in simmiar situations? Thanks alot!!!
No one?
I flashed this rom and it bricked my device, you are right..
But how do i port a rom on MT8161 from MT8735? Is there any chance? Thanks!
