[Q] CWM Nandroid backup question

Hello!
I have CWM Touch Recovery v6.0.3.1. A couple of hours ago, I made a NANDroid backup before flashin a new ROM. When I attempted to use NANDroid backup manager to restore my apps and data, the app said I had no apps in the backup. Upon reviewing the files CWM created, I discovered that it created several data.ext4.tar files. Is there a way to combine these so I can use the Nandroid backup manager to restore my apps. I've managed to restore call logs, text messages and wifi data but my apps are important too
Thanks in advance for the help ^-^
EDIT: I do realise I could probably use CWM for restoring but I want to restore specific apps and not the data. (I.e the recently updated hotmail app)
Plus, restoring with CWM flashes data that is incompatible with the new ROM.
full back up or partial back up

As far as i know Nandroid backup is used to restore previously backed up ROM+installed applications+app data . If you jus want to back up some application, just use something like "Titanium Backup", it workes great.
:good: If it helped you, Just hit the THANKS :highfive:
Titanium, Backup (TiBu) has an option for extract from nandroid backup in its menu. why dont you try that if u have TiBu installed ..
Thank you but I solved my problen a while ago.

A nandroid backup is used to backup the system,boot,recovery... In case your phone is bricked but if yout want to backup apps just use an application like titanium backup
Dear fellows,
I hope this is a right place to ask my question here. If not please please tell me and head me over to an other thread where this has been discussed.
I've rooted the S4 mini successfully (thanks to arco68). Right after the rooting process and installing ARCO's CWM I backed up the stock 4.4.2 rom in any case. I did a factory reset and flashed CM 11 also successfully and everything was good. After a week I wanted to go back to stock. So I restored the backup I made previously. Everything went out good, but now the whole system is inconsistent and instable. I have problems with the WiFi, SD card problems and so on.
What am I did wrong? Any advise is very welcome
I will flash stock via Odin tomorrow and root it again. But I want to avoid this process in future
Thanks

Help restoring nandroid backup

Hi, i'm a noob. I have a nexus 5, I was on 4.4.2 and had the camera-demon problem, I wanted to update the phone to 4.4.3, I was rooted, I made a android backup and unrooted and updated, I then found out that this would take me back to 4.4.2 through the internet, I thought oh this is no big deal, i can just restore it and make the proper type of backup to restore later. But now I cant even restore it. Looking at the actual backup (should have done this earlier) I noticed that there were no .img files like there should be for the restore, so I'm wandering is there anything i can do with this file to get my data back? Because it wont restore in twrp it just says "E: no partitions selected for restore"

[Q] Error while restoring data CVM 5.5.0.4 - Temasek CM 10.2

Hi all !
I need your help because I'm really desperate.
My phone was working fine but I had some error with Handcent application.
I decided to restore a previous nandroid backup (that I had previously successfully restored) but now I've got an "error while restoring data" after a long time working.
Tried to do 3 wipes (data factory, cache, Dalivk), but same issue.
Tried with some other backups, same issue.
I'm really lost....
Is there any way to get me out of this ? :crying:
My phone is now unusable.
When I run the phone after restoring faultly, it asked me my google account, as if it was the first time I was running the phone, and not all applications are installed.
When I try to install missing applications with Google Play, I've got an error, and no way to restore from Titanium Backup, no error but freezes.
Please HELP !
Flash your firmware using Odin or recovery, if the backup is corrupt then it can't be fixed.
Thanks, but this backup was OK last time I've restored it, and I had the same issue with some other recent backups.
It appears that the size was too big, over 2,5GB.
I've restored from a 2,41GB backup and it has worked.
The mistery is why I was able to restore from this backup one time, and now does not work anymore...

[Q] Can I download a TWRP package to restore my system?

I have a Verizon LG G3. I took the OTA update to 5.0.1 (VS98523C), rooted my phone and installed Titanium Backup, made a backup, and then proceeded to delete system apps. I'm getting error messages about weather apps so I want to restore them but can't because apparently TB needs to download them from the store. I installed TWRP so I could restore from Nandroid backups.
Is there a place I can download TWRP backups? I've seen threads on how to restore to stock but I don't want to lose root, I just want to restore the device to stock-but-just-rooted. It was such a huge pain in the neck for me to root that I don't want to lose root and re-root if I don't have to. It seems like someone would have uploaded backups but I've been searching for a while and all the search results just seem to point to how I can install TWRP.
LG g3 one click root is fast and simple if you need root. If you uninstall system apps make sure to reboot after or you'll get errors with the app trying to load. I don't think you can just grab someone else's backup. It would probably work but I doubt anyone wants to share all of their data with everyone.

You needed to have made the backups.
You can install one of the clean ROMs that is basically the OTA, like Jasmine.
Nandroid backups come from you making a backup of your system.
Thanks, I just installed Jasmine and (so far) it's working great. It fixed my problems AND now I can use all my apps in dual window mode!!! This is better than stock!
P.S. I did a nandroid backup right after installing Jasmine

Online nandroid backup like OBackup - TWRP - OnePlus 6T - Not rooted

Hi everyone
I used to use orange backup to make a scheduled backup of my device.
This now seems to be defunct.
I was wondering if there is anything similar I could use to make a nightly backup of my phone to my NextCloud server.
I have a OnePlus 6T, it isn't rooted but does have TWRP installed.
Would be nice to have the system backup automated without having to mess around going into TWRP.
Thanks for your help
Dave
