I've been using Teamviewer host for a long while with my old phone, but when I installed in my Pocophone there is not compatibility to remote controlling my phone with this software.
Anyone know any other good alternative to actively controlling my pocophone from my desktop?
Solved with Clockworkmod's Vysor and with same issues that other Xiaomi users:
https://github.com/koush/vysor.io/issues/236
I tried, but could not solve the problem.
The screen only appears, but I can not access it.
Too bad that the Xiaomi / MIUI developers are not ready to work with TeamViewer and grant the approvals for this app.
Is it somehow possible to enforce remote controlling with TeamViewer?
Got LineageOS 16.0, unlocked and rooted.

I would be interested to know if/how it is possible to access the IR blaster in code. As far as I can see there is no native support for IR devices Android (unlike things such as Bluetooth). Any ideas about how I might be able to send commands to the IR blaster in an App? I have experience making apps but no idea how to access hardware that is not supported by default in the SDK.
IR development access
I too would like to know about this. Im on the verge of buying a tablet S but I am wanting to know about IR code access, and the Playstation Suite SDK (which is supposedly for C# devs like me )
Agreed, I'd like to create a customizable widget for the remote control app.
If anyone finds out let me know
I also like to know the api for their docking
I have submitted a request to Sony for information on development for the IR blaster, maybe if enough people do the same then information and a library for accessing it will be released.

I'm looking for an easy way to record my Android's screen without rooting my phone. This will be on my work phone, so I'm not allowed to root it.
I recently found TeamViewer QuickSupport which lets you control an Android phone remotely (see its display and use your keyboard and mouse to interact with it). The way I'm currently recording the screen is by using TeamViewer on my computer to control the phone, and then using a screen capture program on my computer to record the screen.
Surely someone's made an app that uses the same API that TeamViewer uses to retrieve the screen? I mean, TeamViewer is recording it and sending it over wifi with no trouble, so why do actual screen recording apps require root?
Any advice? Does anyone know of any apps that do this?
Thanks!
Hi,
I tried AirStream and AirDroid but like Teamviewer both are not successful and satisfactory.
What apps can be used for access, controlling and providing support for an android device from another android device and desktop computer?

Hi,
I am trying to control my Android TV using my google home and my raspberry.
I can connect the TV and launch most of the apps.
But I am facing issues when I try to do more complex actions... I am fully lost in the intents and activities...
I tried to find some informations with "dumpsys window windows" but without any good result.
I would like first to change the channels on molotov (I does not work just using the keyevents)
And another project would be to launch a specific Kodi add-on (catch up TV)
Do you have any idea of how to do so ?
Thanks for your help
Seen a video showing a widget to control the mi tv box on YouTube does anyone know how it's possible to get this on the international version im forever loosing the remote control for it
I suppose you are referring to the Mi Home app.
Tutorial here, use google translate.
I haven't test it but it should work. There are other videos on youtube in English too.
I think he meant the MiTVBox controller, I know it works in the Chinese firmware (or custom ROMs based on it, like AmazeROM for Pace), but i am not sure if it works if installed manually in the INTL firmware. I know MiHome works only partially, because it relies on certain CN firmware files.
Yeah it was the mitvbox controller, ah that's a shame would have been a really handy feature since alot of the products are sold outside of China officially i hope it changes in the future
@siimot I have pulled the Mi TV Remote from my Pace running latest Chinese firmware (2.6.6.0), odexed and fixed it so it can be installed as a normal app (widget). I have installed on my Stratos but it shows a message about connecting to the phone via Bluetooth, but I think it's because my Stratos is paired with an iPhone and not Android (the same error happens when I run it on Pace while in airplane mode). Maybe it works for you. After installing, restart watch (or launcher) so you can see the icon in apps list or use the widget (if you have AmazMod/AmazeLauncher installed, or Springboard Settings for a temporary workaround).
If anyone tries installing the APK on a Pace (or Verge, it seems that it uses the mic for voice commands), please report if it works or not.
this one works.
Is There a remote that works independently? without phone?
Is there an apk so we can control other TVs except mi with amazfit ???????
