Hey guys, I wanted to open up a discussion about what apps or tools you do use to get the best out of your battery juice.
I hope it also can help people
Happy writing!

hi all, I'm using I9100 and I search a rom, I want it drains battery slowest, can someone help me thanks
sorry for my bad english
There is no such thing as the "best battery rom". You have your phone setup differently to everyone else, you use your phone differently to everyone else and your phone came out of the factory slightly differently to everyone else's.
A rom that runs well for me might not run well for you.
I suggest you go the development sections of the forum & read the first few pages and the the last 10-20 pages of the particular threads devoted to different roms. That way you will get an idea of the features/pluses/minuses of each rom, and also see other users' experiences with that rom.
There's too many variables which determine battery life to be able to say 'This is a great rom for battery" (or performance, or anything else)
Then you can test different roms for yourself to find one that works best for you.

After Installing any ROM..make sure you freeze the apps that arent needed and uselessly hold wavelocks..and u will definitely find that suits you.. Search..Read..and Explore XDA, a lovely place for development
Hi you all
I'm running the latest version of [ROM][GT-I9100][JB][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies
31.03.2013
details are at the screenshot.. please take a look.
my battery always finished after 4-5 hours of using...
My questions are:
1. Could it be??
2. Do I run the properly Baseband Version (I9100UHLPH) ?? + Kernel version? (I'm living in Israel by the way).
3. Do I need to change one of the above if i'm running this rom?
if yes please tell me to what file?? attachment will be well received
if not.. does someone encountered this problems too? the battery is killing me,,,
note: the battery is brand original new... I ordered X2 ,to check it.
please answer my questions..
tnx to all of you... MeirT
Hi dude, first of all I don't think this is in the right place to make a thread about this sort of issue, next time post on the cyanogenmod thread OR the Troubeshooting section.
Anyway, you haven't provided enough information. One could use his phone playing games for 4-5hours endlessly and it would run out of battery, that would be reasonable, as constant use will surely drain battery alot faster. There are many ways of improving batt, first screenshot your 'screen' usage' and post it here.

1st - Im not using the device for games at all... only for reasonable action Gmaqil Facebook Whatsapp etc
2nd- attached screenshot
3rd - tnx.. any more answers please??
The screenshots you have provided tell us nothing useful whatsoever, I.E the screenshot you provided in your last post shows you lost 3% with ~15 minutes of uptime. This is meaningless.
In order to get help with this you should:-
1) Install BetterBatteryStats (search for it on here/Google Play)
2) Find the BetterBatteryStats thread on XDA & read it.
3) Ask for help in that thread. People there will most likely ask you to post BBS logs in order to help you.
Edit - 4) There are literally hundreds of threads on here about battery life/how to improve it. I suggest you search for them & read them. They contain lots of things people have tried in order to maximise battery life. You seem to be looking for a simple/formulaic way to magically fix your current battery situation, there probably isn't one.
Here are my questions. Has anyone tried both? Which is better for a heavy user? Also can you run both at once or should I disable one? I tried Googling these things but im having trouble finding any info. Sorry if this is a total noob question. Any help is much appreciated.
I've just gone back to juice defender 3.9.6beta after having nothing and I'm getting great battery life. Not sure about snapdragon

It won't bring any harm to your, phone so why do you want other people to help you be your test monkey?,and anyways you're posting on the wrong section.

Wasn't trying to get anyone to be my monkey. And I thought I was posting in the Apps thread. Sorry if I've offended you. Geez

Thanks. I use juice too. Snapdragon seemed to be draining more than it was saving so I uninstalled.
Moved to Q&A
I understand why you put it in Themes and Apps, but it boils down to being a Question.
Hi all ! I need a good combination rom/kernel for battery life . Someone can help me ? Thanks a lot
Hi,
unfortunately - there is no such thing as "best" for battery life. What works best for you and your config will not be best for me or mine. There are too many factors and what is "best" is subjective. You may not wish to hear this but the only advice anyone can give you is to try them all for yourself. "Best" threads always end up in arguments, which is why they are usually locked.
Have fun testing.
Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.
Hey guys sorry about the thread but new here. Back on android after 3 years on iPhone and I must say loving the phone. Tried all the usual tricks but still find the battery to drain pretty quick. I know I should give few charges for it to settle but can you guys recommend anything.
Many thanks guys
