So my Redmi Note 4 started to heat up and drain the battery very quickly so i let it to go all the way to 0% and charged it full overnight. Next morning i boot it up and battery is 70% and it still heats up so i decided to wipe all data from recovery, when that finished my screen started to flicker it wouldn't stay on. But when i plug power source to phone it stays on it feels like the screen can't get enough power from the battery. Im on the latest global rom V9.5.3.0.
Now the problem is that whenever i plug the charger the screen turns off. Should i try replace the charging port?

This morning I used my sister's Samsung Champ's charger to charge my Galaxy 5. I didn't keep it in for long (20 - 30 min) but when I removed it, the battery started showing low charge warnings; I tried charging with my laptop using the cable that came with the phone and it showed 70% charged immidately, but when I removed it, it showed <14% warning again.
I tried to drain the battery completely and then recharge it, but the battery is still draining fast. Please help, the phone is only 2 months old...
Did you do a full charge?
I don't see why using other chargers effect your phone, I always use blackberry chargers and have no problem, try charging to 100%, draining to 0% a few times, see if it helps

It might have nothing to do with using the wrong charger, you might just have the signal glitch where your phone is constantly searching for signal when it already has it, my phone started to do it recently, to check if this is the issue go to Settings, Phone Info, Battery Useage, Signal, then if it says something like Time without signal 50% then that is the issue.
Try this;
Unplug your phone
Turn Airplane Mode on for about 10 seconds
Turn Airplane Mode off
Restart phone.
That fixed my battery life- it was going for 80% battery to 10% in under 5 minutes.
Hello people, I have a strange problem, I have less than two months with my SE Xperia Ray, and always loaded with original charger , but about two weeks ago or something but the phone whenever it reaches 28% of battery status and jumps to 0% and off. the battery is completely discharged. Sometimes I'd see battery calibrator used but still the same, any suggestions you can give me if they had a case like this? thank you very much
Do calibration! Let your battery became absolute empty and phone will turning off automatically. Then connect the charger (!just charger, do not turn on the phone!). When batery turns full disconnect the charger, eject the battery for 5 minutes, then take it back and connect the charger again. Then it became full enter recovery => advanced => Wipe Battery Stats, then restart your phone and when your home screen appers disconnect the charger. Let your battery became empty to the end (!do not restart or turn off during this period!) then charge as always
I have a note 1 N7000, and each time the screen began flickering and after that it shut down. This got worse after flashing a cyanogenmod rom. By plugging in the charger the battery seemed empty, but wasn't. After a while the battery indicator used to show charged 70 % or more. Put the charger cable off and the situation repeated after a short time of usage. Last night it started turning off at boot and wouldn't turn on unless on charge. I flashed a original JB rom since the problem doesn't happen when on recovery/download mode. but now it does it even when connected on charge.

Bump?
When my phone reaches 85-80% battery my screen starts to flicker and my phone turns off. When turning on i only have 1% battery left.
Battery is only 1 year old. Do i need to buy a new one?
Or can I fix it?

You can calibrate the battery like this before you decide to buy a new one
Fully charge the battery with the phone on and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is done.
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once loaded to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not load until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).
From AndroidPit
the phone restart or turn off randomly and show different amount of charging
for example it was 17% battery then it turn of when i try to turn on again it shows 1% and turn off again
so i put it on charger for few seconds while it was off and it shows 100% battery then when i turn on again it shows only 5%
also while it was charging and reached 17% suddenly it shows 0% and turn off and charge back from 0% while it's off and remain on 1% for so long
what is the cause of that and any one know how to fix such problem?
I had the same behavior. It's bad battery. You need to replace the battery. My one was good until I got Android 10 and because of heating problem in our Android 10 I replaced the battery two times then went back to MM and all things good now. The heat broke the battery, especially during charging.
That was my experience.
