I am using miuipro ported Nougat rom 8.10.11.
Do i need to update modem to a better one that suits for India airtel?

Miui pro ported nougat is just a custom rom. It doesnt include modem files to flash in modem partition.
Ur modem partition still has the files of miui global.
Miui pro is for mi max which is ported to kenzo..
Are u using dual sim ?

Kenzo itself is dual sim and i am also using both sim cards also. I was wondering whether there could be any updated or modified modem for India.
I knew none of the unoffical Rom files will have modem. But googled and didnt find any update or custom rom. Wondering few sites like 4pda were recommending epic modem 7.11.6 Noughat for better coverage. But i didnt find any other links. So with curiosity i put my question here.

Yes i am using 2 sims. But my primary sim is in 2nd slot. During day time i use 2nd slot for data and 1st slot (secondary sim) as data in night.

Put the sim in slot1 which u use for data. Sim2 slot is only for calls. Its issue in kenzo. Miui global works fine may be. But custom rom with issues.
If u use sim2 slot for data then u will come across network drop.

Make sure you use the correct version as per your device.
Some ROMs are specific to single/double sim variants and will cause issue on other variant.
Also, its better to provide details such as what variant your device is, Rom version etc.
And what problem you face exactly, does it find the network, or doesn't find it at all.

The version i got is "Slim-condor-4.4.4.build.6-UNOFFICIAL-20140627-2005" (rar name), single chip, network works fine (i can get/make calls, sms, etc)

I have seen a thread with more or less the same problem. In most of european countries the white version of OPX comes with H2OS and its the e1001 variant.
The main problem is that the H2OS is laggy in games,very laggy. I have bought three OPXs in Romania and all of them have the same problem. How do I upgrade the firmware/software without root or TWRP? Is it possible? Because the guys that provide the warranty for this phone may void it if something bad happens.
I am running H2Os v1.2.0. It s very snappy with zero lagg but when gaming starts it is very rubbish. Help me here please. What am I supposed to do?

You can download the OxygenOS zip and flash it with stock recovery. I would suggest unlock the bootloader, install twrp and take H2OS nandroid there on flash O2OS u can test it for a couple of days and then decide for your liking between the 2 ROMs

I havent really used 2 sims in my oneplus x (germany) with oxygen os but in the android settings it shows all the stuff for dual sim usage. You can deactivate a sim and also set the preferred sim for data usage, calls amd sms.

Go to the stock dialler. Select the options from top right (3 dots after the voice search assistant). Select settings>Call Settings>Phone Account Settings>Make calls with. Here you can select 3 options. If you select ask first you'll be prompted everytime you make a call to select from which sim you want to make the call or select either of the sims directly.
But it does not work anymore in OxygenOS 2.1.2, 2.1.3, or 2.1.3-x . Maybe in future OTAs ...

I am experiencing network problem if i use any firmware based on CM. The issue is I get less network and something phone doesnt show any network at all. If I use H2OS or OOS I get proper signals with good speed. I have two ONYX and both have same problems.
I feel the issue could be disabling of a particular band which is used by RJIO in India. Do any body also have this issue? Please post your answers with suitable resolutions if any.

Seems only baseband problem,i dont think any bands are locked in custom roms,did you tried the roms that use stock oos ril?

No, Actually you can use that SIM in any headset the only things is it should not be contract SIM ( 3 Months Free Data,Voice and SMS) with Lyf phone.

May be, But i personally dont face network issues at-least compared to my Primary Phone Idea. But again its valid only if i am using H2OS or OOS. If you are on CM you will have issues.

Well then you have to stick with oos I guess
Try restoring OOS EFS on the ROM you use. If you don't have OOS EFS Backup, Take Nandroid backup of your current Rom to your memory card. Then clean flash OxygenOS and take its EFS backup. Now restore your Rom and then restore Oxygen's EFS over it.

You cannot buddy. Jio requires VoLTE (voiceover lte) or as they are calling it "True 4G", our phone just supports LTE, so there is no issue with your software, It's the hardware that is incompatible.

Hi, No its not like that. When we talk about LTE, we mean data so any phone in the world supporting the LTE will be able to use the data from the network if phone uses the same band. Now when we talk about VOLTE, its hardware specific and your phone should be able to make VOICE calls using LTE. Its generally a hardware which make enable your phone to send SIP messages using the builtin dialler and then DSP's for the HD voice. But again if your dont have VOLTE supported on your phone you can download dialer application from the vendor ( If they have) and use them to make voice call. The quality may not be as good as builtin hardware but it should be manageable.

How did you get the RJIO sim , i mean i have the code too, but does that store person didnt check your phone ?

sim slot 2 works but no matter which sim i put it shows no service (detects sim though). Sim slot 2 doesn't recognize sim at all . Am on 5.1 latest stock locked.

So does sim slot 2 work at all? I'm assuming one of the slots don't, and the other does. Try dialling *#*#4636#*#* and then go to phone information. After that, tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner and then tap on select radio band. Choose automatic(if there are 2, try selecting them one by one and check which works), and then the slot which detects your sim should start working.

Can't get camera working
Despite the fact that my phone is a Moto E 2nd gen XT1506 (OTUS) the custom roms that works with it are those for CONDOR, but none of them has the camera working. Is there anyone that can help me?
