I am currently using MIUI 10 8.10.25beta and I can't pair my pocophone with a Yunteng bluetooth remote shutter. It's pairing with my Bluetooth gamepad but with other Bluetooth shutter it's not. Help please. Thanks.
Change device bluetooth name to a single word. By default its two words something like "Pocophone F1"
Must be a single word like "pocophone" or "phone" etc.

Hi all. Has anyone tried to pair with a car?
I'm trying to pair with a Kia Sorento. It's looks like it pairs OK and then shows connected but the car doesn't acknowledge that it is connected.
I'll continue to test but wanted to know if anyone else had success. I'll try with other bluetooth devices as well. Please post your experiences with Bluetooth.
Thanks for the ROM update and thanks for your responses.
Well, I've successfully paired and used several different bluetooth devices. Didn't think I had this many:
- bluetooth mouse
- bluetooth keyboard with built-in trackpad
- OBD II reader
- Music headset
I have a phone headset and my car. It looks like both of these pair but don't connect properly. The headset is for phone profile only. After pairing, clicking on it does nothing. Doesn't even try to pair. For my car, it pairs and I'm able to enter the pass-phrase/key but then it doesn't connect.
It looks like there is an issue connecting to devices that use the phone profile. When looking at the settings for the paired items, there is a profile for phone audio. It has a checkbox which is not checked and is disabled...cannot check it.
I'll post screen captures when I get a chance.
Thank you
It looks like the HFP (hands free protocol) is needed for using a headset on a mobile phone as in the case of a earpiece or to use a car as a hands free for a mobile phone as well.
It looks like Blues does not support HFP. There is mention of an oFono project that works with Blues to support HFP but no mention of Android support. I also found some mention of Blues adding that support. Maybe it's available and needs to be configured. Didn't dig too far into it and I'm not that familiar with these technologies.
Hopefully, one of the devs can follow up on this or another group has done it or figured out how to do it.
I'll keep looking and will post if/when I find anything.
FYI, Bluez just released a new version April 12th.
I found some configuration files in /system/etc/Bluetooth
The audio.conf file has several settings referring to headset and hfp. I tried some variations but no luck. Good news is that it looks like Bluez supports headset and hfp out of the box/built-in.
More testing needed.
I also read that after changing settings you will have to unpair and repair your device to pick up the change.
I wonder what the stock files have?
It looks like, ideally, there are other profiles that should be there to have a good experience. PBAP, phone book access protocol, is needed for transferring contacts, for example.
it fix on next release, but have reboot afte call =(

So my reboot after a call is related to bluetooth headset. Right?
Any ideas about overcoming this?
I'm finding the pairing of the Folio Keyboard with my Nexus 9 to be problematic. I'm not sure if this is because there's an issue with NFC on either device or I'm just doing it wrong.
Pairing the keyboard using only bluetooth works but needs to be triggered by selecting the already paired with keyboard in bluetooth settings and can take 10s of seconds before it is connected. I expected that the keyboard would connect as soon as it came in range of the NFC chip, but it doesn't. I think NFC at least partially works as the keyboard is detected by the tablet as a trusted device via NFC. When I follow the directions to pair the keyboard via NFC by placing the tablet on it in the right manner it does not pair though I hear a tone when the doing it, that doesn't happen when I change the orientation of the tablet. From this I conclude that the NFC hardware works but something in my use of it, the configuration of the tablet or a system bug is stopping it working properly.
1) Is it a reasonable expectation that I can be expect once pairing has been completed that placing the tablet on the keyboard will be recognised by NFC without having to lay the tablet in the manner described in keyboard documentation?
2) Assuming the desired outcome as described above is possible will this trigger the tablet to turn on bluetooth (if it is turned off) or is it necessry for bluetooth to be either manually turned on, left on or find some other mechanism that triggers bluetooth to be turned on in order to connect the keyboard?
3) Is it a reasonable expectation that keyboard and tablet to be quickly connected (in a second or so) via bluetooth?
1. Once they're paired. They're paired, no need for nfc.
2. It will not turn on bluetooth automatically. Just leave bluetooth on at all times.
3. Mine connects pretty quickly once I learned the proper method to do it, that being with bluetooth on, slide the camera portion of the table slowly over the portion of the folio just above the number row. And visa versa to unpair.
The only annoying thing about this keyboard folio is the fact that I need to turn back on the "hardware input" to either see the on screen keyboard when not using the tablet, and turn off the onscreen keyboard when using the folio keyboard. I wish it did that automatically. I'm either missing something, or need to figure out a way to do that with tasker, via touch imputs or something.
Yeah, once you connect via bluetooth, NFC is no longer needed.
The frustration I am experiencing is that once the keyboard is paired and connected...if I turn bluetooth off or it disconnects, it won't automatically reconnect the next time BT is turned on. Am I missing something here? It's like the keyboard is asleep and the nexus can't find it to connect to.

I generally just touch an input then hit a button on the folio keyboard. In about 1 or 2 seconds the letter will show up and the on screen keyboard will disappear. From there I just type normally.
Hello XDA-Devs,
i bought a brand new Amazfit Pace (International) and updated firmware to latest stock. Setup was quite fine and watch paired with my Phone (Redmi Note 3 Pro) and Amazfit Watch App without any problems. I was also able to connect via MTP from Windows 10 PC and store some music on the watch.
Now i tried to connect my bluetooth headset (Bluetooth Bragi Dash Headphone) without any success. I put the Bragi Dash Headphone into pairing mode and in wacht BT menu it opens BT overview with blinking "Searching" indicator. After a while the blinking "Searching" indicator disappears and thats it. The Headphone does not show up. I also tried with a Bluetooth speaker with same result. Both, the Bragi Headphone and the bluetooth-speaker are working without any issues with my Phone, Windows tablets and other devices.
Any clue or same issue? Actually i like the design of the watch, but possibility to pair a bluetooth headset was a buying decision for me ..
thx and br

1. Make sure the BT devices aren't paired with any other devices before trying to pair with watch;
2. If BT on watch is working fine, you should stay connect if you go away from your phone about 10m (without barriers), if connection drops 30-50cm from phone then maybe you have a problem with the watch's BT (weak connection due to bad antennae or BT chip);
3. Put phone and any other device around in Airplane mode (or switch other BT devices off), do the same to watch, then enable only BT and try to pair again. There are some known cases of WiFi/BT interference.
If everything fails, maybe the phone/speaker simply aren't compatible if they pair with other devices. Watch should be able to list other BT devices nearby, if the list is always empty, looks like BT is damaged. Try an unpair (reset) and pair again with another phone and/or account on Amazfit app. Good luck.
Hello lfom, thanks for fast reply. I did a factory reset and it still does not work with my Bragi Headphone (150€) (https://support.bragi.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000132569-The-Headphone-Technical-Specifications)
But one good news, i tried with a very cheap bluedio BT-Headset (9€) and surprisingly this headset i could directly connect to my Amazfit Pace watch and works fine...
... so it seems there is some general incompatibility... maybe related to BT 4.0 A2DP version. As you see here http://www.phonemore.com/xiaomi-amazfit/specs/3497 the Amazfit Pace should support BT 4.0 A2DP. I assume the Bragi Headphone does handle the protocolls correctly (had never any issues with them) and they are premium product... so unfortunately it seems we have to wait for fix fom Amazfit side.
Anyone else can report incompatible BT devices? Or maybe anyone else out there tried to connect a Bragi product?
Thx and br
Probably it cannot be fixed by Huami, as the the limitation is the hardware used in Pace (4.0BLE). I have read somewhere that Stratos uses a different BT chip and supports higher version, not sure if 4.1 or 4.2. There is a list of known compatible and incompatible devices in a Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/HuamiAmazfit.Pace.Smartwarch/permalink/344737925947591/
Thx lfom, i joined the group and seems that Bragi The Headphone does not work in general (others report that too). Sad that a standard protocol like bluetooth still seems to have compatabiliy issues. Have to live with it and use different BT-headphone. Thx for your help
Hi... my Kaidi headset will not pair Amazfit as well. I can pair Amazfit with iPhone and can pair Kaidi headset with iPhone but never Amazfit with Kaidi. Sad...
Has anyone figured out how to get the watch to recognize these as a HRM yet? on the pairing list it shows up as a SMART senor but only gets paired as a headphone... any help?
bump
If you get it paired as headphone, you probably used the bluetooth menu in the global settings.
Use the accessories menu in the activity

Your right this is a common mistake that's made however I did try in the accessories menu and it still wants to pair as a headphone.
Do you have this setup? Have you had any success with this?
No I don't, just pointing out the "ususal mistake".
Probably the developers didn't think that there are devices out there that can have more then one device definition.
Did you email support ?
Any response from Amazfit support regarding your HRM earpiece ?
can you pair them to your phone? does it pairs as one or two devices ?
Dear all,
I recently purchased Jabra Elite Sport Earphones. They have both headphone function and heart rate monitor function. The "in ear" hear rate function work great so I would like to use it directly with my stratos.
The watch is able to connect to the earphones but regarding the heart rate monitor, I can see it in the activity accessories but when I try to connect, it tries but then says "impossible to communicate with XXX".
The earphones are bluetooth 4.2 and the stratos is 4.0. From various investigations, I could find that the 4.2 bluetooth specifications add various points regarding GATT profiles for bluetooth smart devices. I guess then the stratos is unable to connect because it is only 4.0 and not 4.2.
My question is then: is there any possibility to upgrade the watch to bluetooth 4.2? At least for what concerns software issues (my case here).
I installed Paceficator ROM expecting those new bluetooth profiles would be implemented but unfortunately not. Those, I guess, are available in the stratos 3 firmware as it is said as compatible Bluetooth 4.2 + BLE 5.0
I hope you will be able to help!
Thanks!
Edit 21/03:
I added 3 screenshot of the device scanned with my phone and Apps BLE Scanner and Bluetooth Scanner
I contacted Jabra too but they punted the issue telling they provide support for Smartphone usage and not smartwatch..
Have you enabled Bluetooth Smart in your Jabra Elite Sport Earphones before you tried to connect them with your watch? You should press and hold your right "bud" for about 10 sec.

Hello Zdune,
Thank you for taking care of my issue. I tried your trick. I heard "bluetooth Smart disconnected" and then in the watch/ Activity/ Accessories, the device was not appearing anymore.
I pressed again for 10s to reactivate and I could find again the device. But, trying to connect, it still says "unable to communicate with XX"
When the device is detected in the watch/Activity/ Accessories, it still shows a headset logo and not a heart rate logo. When I scan the device with my phone for bluetooth smart, it shows a heart rate logo. I think the watch is making confusion between the Classic Bluetooth function (headset) and the Smart function (health device). I don't know whether it is due to : 1) watch bluetooth version (4.0 instead of 4,2), 2) watch software issue, 3) headset software issue.
I hope someone can help.
