[Q] Specific game not working on new ROM

Hello XDA Forum!
I'm a new member in the forum, recently iv'e discovered the inner geek in me and decided to explore the world of roms. (yes im a newbie lol)
I hope to contribute to the forum as much as i can.
Anyway, Here's the story:
I have a Motorola Atrix 4g of course and i'm using epinter's excellent cm 10.1 rom
The only problem i have is that my favorite game Leauge of Shadows isn't working. I had the game working on epinter's cm 10 rom based JB 4.1.2 with 2.6 kernel and the game works on other JB roms with 2.6 kernel. So i believe the problem is with the kernel. With the current kernel i have ( 3.1.10) the game start but crashes alot and touchscreen doesn't work.
So my question is, is there anyway to run this game? can i run a specific app in a 2.6 kernel will my device has 3.1.10?
I've tried to install diffrent kernel but failed to install for some reason.
Any help will be much appriciated!!
Hi! Welcome to the forums!
Short answer: Not yet.
Long answer: As you should know, anything with the 3.1 kernel is considered an (not so) early stage alpha. It isn't meant to be used as a daily driver, only as testing and development. Right now, the focus of the development is set into modem drops and audio issues, once all basic things are working, then they can focus on other things, like the issue you have.
Also, kernel is the main piece of software any device (computer, smartphone, etc) uses. on windows xp, the kernel is ntkernel.exe, on linux and android is vmlinuz.
So far the only solution is to install a rom that doesn't use the 3.1 kernel, such as cm10 (not 10.1), cm7 or early iterations of atrics
Thanks!

Best Redmi Note 3 Pro rom (not MIUI) out there

Hey guys, I just wanted to hear some of your guys opinions on which do you think is the best custom rom that you use as your daily driver. Im currently running RR 5.7.4 but I want to know if there are any other better ones than RR without having to flash them myself, too many out there. If you guys dont mind just shouting out your favorite daily driver rom along with your favorite features that come with it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

BEST 7.0 ROM, GAPPS & KERNEL................

I think Slim is better
The rom is super smooth, exposed works as it should be, the battery life is great, & the most important (for me) is fingerprint works!
The most stable and smooth is NX 10.4 for sure and I have tried Slim which is also very good, citrus is WIP but on a good path...
miui😋
yeah i too love custom roms, but some of the bugs remains in all customs, iam running epic rom(miui based)+xposed+some hebf tweaks and all is fine here,i mean camera and fingerprint is good +debloated to core gives me an idle battery time(around 5-6hr sot)
if any have some good suggestion regarding any custom rom which has good camera quality+fp would be really appreciated, peace
Ressurection Remix 5.7.4 is great too
This cm14.1 ROM with volte enabled has no problem for me , run smooth , make calls, everything ok.

cm 13 for daily use, cm14 for nougat test
The RR 5.7.4 latest one which you are using is the only best.
after rooting my phone i have installed almst 10-15 roms on my phone ranging from 6.0-7.1 in a month.
but he best one is the resurrection remix only and u are already using it. so i think i dont need to explain y.
stay on it .
enjoy it.

need some opinions and guidance updating this phone.

Hi my stepson has the S5 and itbis currently on cm 12. It is a little buggy. I want to update it. I wanted to update it to a stable cm13 but the official site is down as I'm sure you all know. They do have cm14 builds for the klte of lineage but there is no stable yet. So here's my question is the latest lineage stable enough to use as a daily driver? Or should I just find a stable cm13 build on here? Once I find a good build I know how to install and all that I just need a little help finding the right build.

Stable Pie ROM ?

At current position, which pie ROM is stable enough and can be used as a daily driver ? Also, is there one in which NFC works ?
Are you sure you're in the right place? I didn't know there was NFC in RedmiNote4. As for stability, Lineage, PixelExperience, Havoc. I've tried these, they're stable.
"Stable enough" is a bit of a vague term. If you need ultimate stability, try an older Oreo ROM, they have been tested more.
You may be better off asking which Pie ROM is stable and being actively supported.
All of them :3

daily driver capable rom

I'm searching for a up to date daily driver capable rom for my mi a3, I'm looking for a rom that's based on lineageOS (my distro of preference) and feels as close as possible to stock
i know that there are many devs on MI A3, but I'm confused about threads that are kinda old containing these roms and the last updated date is pretty old as well, sometimes never updated
are they not updating and fixing bugs? is development stopped in this season? are they just advertising here and continue updating in their website?? I'm confused and need directions
