About this project
These are debloated stock roms based upon stock Oreo. These should be treated as a custom ROM that happens to be just like stock, just slimmer
Changes from stock
Removed a number of system and privileged apps to reduce the download size from 1.4GB to approx 0.9GB
dm-verity and forced encryption are disabled (encryption will still work if you choose)
A few tweaks here and there
Does not come with firmware (i.e. the modem partition, etc)
Does not erase modemst1/2 partitions (i.e. your EFS)
Removed boot animation (as of 85-17-2 build)
As this does not include the firmware, it should be treated like every other custom ROM out there that is based off the Oreo blobs:
Clean flash and boot into full stock Oreo at least once to ensure your system is fully working
If you have flashed someone else's persist, make sure to use TWRP flashable Soak Test 1
You can use the TWRP flashable builds here: Potter Oreo TWRP Flashable Builds

All builds are available in the following location:
Android File Host
The latest build is based upon the February 2019 security patch version of stock, OPSS28.85-17-6. Direct link:

Apps that I thought about removing but have kept in
Chrome - you generally need to have a browser for many things to work. Setup wizard and adding accounts will fail if Chrome is not present (confirmed).
MotoSignatureApp - Moto Display tends not to work properly (e.g. pick up to display notifications)
Messages - Generally you want to have an SMS app
Apps I've added in
F-Droid and its privileged extension (think something like Play Store but does Open Source only)
Google Dialer Framework, allows you to use the Google Dialer without errors or warnings
These lists are subject to change over time.

this ROM does not receive update via ota?
Dialer lag problem
Can you find a replacement for the dialer app? Everytime I open the dialer app there is always a 1-2 second delay! Problem is common with all moto phones with oreo! Is there any fix?

Why don't you replace the apps by Google LLC that you chose to keep viz. Chrome and Messeges with the AOSP alternatives?
That would be better.
You can also include other Moto signature apps that are compatible but not included in the official stock ROM.
Keep up the good work

Hi, i have a question. The only problem i have in stock is about the glitch when i unlock the phone and i was in using the fingerprint like navbar.
The navbar do a flash when i unlock. In this rom this happens?

I haven't yet found which app is checking for official OTAs, but they wouldn't install. Once I work out (or if someone knows) which app it is, I'll remove it.

Good point, and I was thinking about that. I think that WebView is actually installed (unless I installed it through some other means without realising), but disabled. I'd have to try a clean flash with it removed to know for sure. In any case, it's not an actual web browser, just a 'framework'.
For Messages will consider that. Also since Google Photos is removed, might put in the AOSP Gallery app.
Not sure about the other Moto apps, the purpose here is to remove what isn't needed.

I am not referring to Webview when I say AOSP browser. I am referring to the Android Browser. That's the browser app that used come with Kitkat if you can remember but I don't know whether it will be compatible.
I think Motorola Gallery is better than AOSP Gallery and Moto Suggestions can also be added to get Night Light feature that was not in official stock.
I don't know whether Moto Voice can replace Google Assistant but it's also worth a shot.
You can include these three after testing.
Except these three other Moto signature apps are not that great imo.
Dose it have WiFi bug as official ROM?
Official oreo ROM seems to have WiFi bug because of which WiFi drops randomly, is it present in this too?

As this is based on official Oreo it will be present or not (I would think not as most users don't have the problem after a factory reset/ cache clean).

Hi everybody. I'm back))). But now, since v6.0 built from AOSP for bullhead. I want to make PixelROM v6.0 for Nexus 6P (now it should boot))).
This ROM will have all stock Google Apps, NO ROOT (Security), Pixel stock settings, Pixel stock SystemUI, last December security patch, and everything more! (Incld Round Icons, Night Light mode and etc.) So I need a team of testers. If you want to participate in testing message me on Telegram: @argraur

I've been wanting to help out on a rom, first time i've seen a request , I'd give it a try for you.. went back to stock and rooted to see the 7.1.1 and bored already! let me know if you want me to run it through the ringer. I have a standard 400 apps i have backed up with Titanium and have no problem trying new rom's , even if for a few hours to see if it works or if i like it.
Would be glad to test the ROM, satisfied with my current ROM (PureNexus), but I'm always looking for improvement. How much emphasis will you put on battery life?
Hi, thank you for your effort first of all.
Secondly, is this a aosp rom compiled from Google sources but with pixel stuff or...?

just curious though. what will be the difference between this Rom and MegaPixel6p rom?
Is it based on 7.1.1 NMF26F. NMF26F Bootoader, Radio, & Vendor?
is this a port rom from pixel ?
2 apps of concern.
If someone already had this installed can you check the two apps out for me that may have me go through the process of testing this out.

I know it says no root for security, just want to make sure having TWRP Does not trigger the alarms to make those apps unusable. I really appreciate all the work of the community.
Guessing that since this is AOSP based that OK Google will be hit or miss like other AOSP Roms?
Try installing this build. booted normally, but does not see the sim card. no cellular connectivity

I have the Note 4 MTK version and flashed the Modded AOSP ROM after using the xiaomi.eu rom for a while. (it came shipped with a vendor rom I did not trust). I am very happy with the modded AOSP ROM as it fixes various issues I had with MIUI. Although it does seem that this rom doesn't only block adds (another thing I couldnt get up and running propper under MIUI) it also blocks access to "adult" websites.
I want controll on what i do and don't see (incl whitelisting pages for adds) but can't seem too find what is causing this. Can anyone using this ROM confirm/advise?

How to make Magisk Modules work and pass SafetyNet?
1- Make a backup of your data with TWRP, and backup your internal storage somewhere because it will get wiped.
2- Download and install ROM
2- Go back to main screen, enter to wipe > advanced wipe
3- Select data and press "repair or change filesystem"
4- Press "change filesystem" and select ext4, follow instructions in screen
5- After it's done restore your data, you will get a message saying it could not boot, don't worry.
Done.

If I deodex rom doesn't boot, and if I deodex but keep .odex files the ROM size gets bigger like 500mb, not worth it!

Intro(Skip at your wish xd):
Hello guys, it's kind of frustrating that our 4a 5G don't get much love here(in custom ROM development perspective) as Pixel 5 as it's not really a "main" variant.
For myself, I love Pixel devices for Google releases "proper" device tree and most necessary stuff, but still it require quite some time for me to get things right and a working ROM build, hell, to be honest, I spent like about 30 hrs already as this is my first time to use AOSP tree + vendor blobs from Google site to build ROMs)
Despite the lack of previous experience, the first build that I'm releasing here, is working quite well, I haven't discovered any (device-specific) bug just yet, anyway, let's continue

Instructions:
0. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked
1. Download ROM zip from the link below, and grab Magisk patched boot.img inside the folder as well if you want root access
2. Reboot to bootloader
2.5. Flash updated bootloader.img and radio.img from Google site
3. Use `fastboot -w update LineageOS_microG-bramble-(BUILD DATE HERE)-userdebug-signed.zip` to flash
and yes, you can omit the "-w" parameter if you're not flashing for the first time, aka just updating from previous release
4(optional). Hopefully after flashing you'll be booted into LineageOS, reboot to bootloader again,
and flash the Magisk patched boot.img extracted from the 7z file with `fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img`,
reboot after finished

Thanks. It looks great and runs good but I’m obviously missing something. I tried installing GApps via ADB side load and no matter which size Nikhil version I attempt to install, I get an error there’s not enough memory. I’ve rebooted after flashing to the rom and also done a factory reset to no avail. What am I missing? I’ve also tried it with and without the patched boot.img.

This is Lineage... You install this one to get privacy and free yourself from Gapps. You might be able to get most features running, but then you just can stay with stock - privacy is then gone again...

SeedVault is builtin system app for all LineageOS builds, no matter it's official or not, if it's not there in someone else's build, either it's removed by the builder or the build is too old.
So yes, SeedVault is in my build, but there's no guarantee that it works with any apps just like Google Backup(which I found pretty much useless in my case)
PS. I'm not really as active as I was on xda since about 2 years ago, please join Telegram for more updated stuff
PPS. I released GCam extracted from stock ROM and modified to make it work on LineageOS(and pretty much any custom ROM with right stuff baked in), and yes, you'll need to flash updated build from my Telegram channel (It's more convenient for me to upload to Telegram as the storage space there is unlimited)

If you are on other base rom, best practice is to factory reset prior to flash rom and new gapps.
After this steps if rom does not boot, probably you are encrypted, remove encryption and repeat the steps.
If after removing encryption rom still does not boot, make a factory reset again after flashing rom and gapps, then all will be fine.
Please be sure you are using one TWRP that can handle firmware flash
Advise to use latest official TWRP
Also be sure you are using proper firmware.
Relative to gapps, the advised ones is pico package since nano its now too big to install ( ARM):
OTA built in on rom for updates easly
Three fingers screenshot ( enable in settings over gestures options )
Support out of the box to microG GmsCore ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...oftware-clone-of-google-play-services.3217616 )

If the rom fail to flash its because you need to make that, but on OPO if you did not messed with the partitons before you will be probably just fine flashing and no need to resize. The issue is not really rom problem, the problem its when flashing gapps that will ask for more space, but that is most for bigger gapps packaging, it you use the nano or base package you will have no issues flashing. Sorry for late answer mate !
Hi Daniel, thanks for your reply! Will probably use a pico gapps package. Anyone used MindTheGapps?

One or another should be fine, if use open gapps pick the small package and then install the rest trough Play Store !
Will do! thank you very much!
I'm not able to flash opengapps pico : error 70
I tried to resize system partition but not being able...
@danieldmm can you help me?
@danieldmm
I can confirm what amadeumagalhaes wrote above. Gapps pico won't install.
I've installed Magisk, got root and I tried deleting some system files to make more space but all apps I've used gave me the same message: uninstall failed. I used SD Maid, System app remover, My Android Tools.
Any ideas?
P.S.1 Instead of opengapps pico, I've flashed mindthegapps. No issues flashing it even if it's larger than opengapps pico. The issue with deleting system files remains unchanged.
Hi all,
Found one bug, after installing Signal. On video calls, my video is overexposed. Anyone else has this problem?

A bunch of us had this same problem with @Tomoms ROM. He managed to fix this in recent releases.
I have no issues on whatsapp. On Tomoms ROM thread it says to restart the app until the overexposure is gone.

If you have still 1.0 you cannot use OTA since the system its down, to use OTA you need to update the Updater you have on 1.0, will drop on bottom a update apk of Updater if you are on 1.0 and prefer to use OTA, just install as regular app updating the system one. And then use the built OTA to update from 1.0 to 2.0, you can also check the change log after updating the updater, its too big to post here, it have all the changes commited to lineageos since my last build. Enjoy guys, long live to OPO
