This is probably more a app issue than the watch but you never know, and I'm not getting any joy out of the developer.
Since the move back to GMT all my activities have been an hour out when syncing from the BIP to Notify &Fitness and then uploaded to Strava, for example;
Activity time on BIP - 9:00 - 10:00
Mi Fit Sync - 9:00 - 10:00
Notify & Fitness Sync - 8:00 - 9:00
I have cleared the app down, I have uninstalled & cleaned & reinstalled on my phone, I have factory reset my BIP and the issue remains.
I only use N&F so I can sync to Strava but having all activities incorrectly reported causes issues.
Anybody else seen this issue or know of a fix?
So due to being totally stubborn I have found a work around, just blundered across it, it's not great but seems to work.
I updated Notfiy & Fitness to v7.1.1 from within the app, and found this option.

Under that there is a new feature called Time Offset
I have adjusted for my specific issue of 1 hour.
Some in house testing and all seems good.
Guess I'll have to wait until the next run to find out if it has fixed it properly.

Hi guys,
I hope someone here can help me figure out a solution to this problem. It seems that every time I switch on my data (4G, 3G, etc.) Google Play Services suddenly kicks into overdrive and downloads an insane amount of data for no reason that I can figure out.
My first indication this was happening was when my mobile operator turned off my data a few days after getting the phone because I had already hit my monthly limit (3GB)! I switched off my data until my new bill arrived and when I turned it back on again on the 14th of this month, it started happening again. I went into settings and selected "restrict background data" and this stopped it, but my phone wasn't working as I expected it, as I'm sure you can imagine. Over the previous weekend, I was staying at a B&B. I turned on data for an hour and unselected "restrict background data" so I could use the phone like normal. I left the phone down for that hour doing nothing before I remembered I left data on (the horror!) and discovered it downloaded a further 300-odd MB's in that time.
I've attached some screens for you to look at. This is a new phone, but this behavior is totally alien to me. Can anyone help?

RESOLVED:
Called HTC Support and they were as surprised as anyone would be. They reluctantly decided that the best, even though the most primative, form of action here would be Factory Reset.
It worked, so I'm glad I have my phone working as it should now.
Since 27/3/18 (2 days ago) I think some virus has infected my phone. My phone is not rooted.
Every time I lock the phone it comes up with, per exempleur, the attached:-

. Also things like the (see the left-hand side) are popping up all the time. I am going out of my mind!!
I've tried all advice I can see online. I've installed Anti-Adware; Zemana Anti-Virus; MalwareBytes; CCleaner. I've deleted one or two questionable apps (not that they were added in the last two days or anything...). I've also followed the various guides about turning off ad-personalisations and opting out of ads etc through Google settings etc, though they keeps coming up.
What can I do save for factory resetting the entire device? How did this happen?
Interestingly, don't know if it's relevant, though a couple of nights ago (immediately before all this started) I was woken up at 2am by my phone making a horrendous noise. I couldn't turn the noise off I couldn't turn the phone on or off. I had to hold the three buttons and do a hard reboot. It felt like some kind of thing had taken over and I had no control of it. Now it's the same in a way... I think they might be linked.
HELP!!
Back up your data , do factory reset , unistall all app what you don't need if the problem is still there , then the problem is in your firmware .
Hi All,
ive found a new annoyance with my phone recently. I always keep my phone location settings on battery saver mode as i believe having it on high accuracy all the time does make a difference to stand by drain with google's constant requests of location data.
however recently it seems the phone changes to high accuracy mode by itself after a few hours - anyone know which app/setting may cause this? Wifi calling used to do this but i no longer use - must be another setting somewhere?
Go to the Settings search bar and type: "Send Last Location", you'll wind up here:

The "Send Last Location" bumps up your location accuracy when your battery is low so you can find your phone when it dies.
Good find! Although my battery is on 6% atm and it's still on battery saver mode so thinking it isn't that ?
I have noticed the same thing. I picked up that the native weather app is turning on the gps to high accuracy when updating the weather.
I had a look at that app and when I launch it - it did ask to change my accuracy to high so thinking it can't be that either ? Kinda annoying trying to find this rogue setting / app
What I do is just refresh the app on the widget and not to open the app, I picked up that even if I say to turn on gps later, it switches it to high automatically
Hello everyone,
Sorry for my google english
I just offered the 47 mm gtr to my brother-in-law because I have the same. When he received it, we downloaded the amazfit app on his phone (a Xiaomi) and we then connected the watch. There, the watch starts to update, which seems normal to me. The problem is that at the end of the update, it is restarted automatically and systematically fails. This makes using the app impossible.
this is what we tried:
- reset the watch several times and reinstalled the amazfit app several times.
- restarted the tel
- installed an old version of the amazfit app
- changed the region of the tel
- update with mifit but there, I have no more ideas ...
I can not go into the settings of the watch to do a reset. I just have a message telling me to update ...
Could you give me a little help? Thank you so mutch

Does the amazfit app have all permissions? First of all, does it have WiFi permission? Xiaomi often restricts apps' rights, you have to change it.

thank you for your help. I also checked and I think so.
I did tests with my brother in law's watch on my phone where I have my watch which works very well and it does the same to me.
I think it is defective.
would it be possible to put an original global firmware there? otherwise I will return the watch to after-sales service ...
I bought the Amazfit GTR 3 which worked fine for 3 days until I had a problem with the measurements. Oximeter, sleep, stress were some that stopped. Heartbeat works once in a lifetime when the clock is on. The sensor (green light) rarely lights up.
Unless I'm mistaken, only the step count and standing hours are working correctly.
Whenever I try to measure I get the message:
"Use the device correctly while measuring" Scrolling down, there's a mini tutorial telling you to keep watch on your wrist, wrists clean and blah blah blah. I do everything that is asked and I keep having problems.
It's too frustrating.
Has anyone had this problem?
Is there some sort of setting to adjust this?
Note: I have already reset the clock to factory defaults. I deleted Zepp and installed it again. I put some previous versions of Zepp and nothing. Measurements continue without happening and the error message appears again.

If you tried all reset options and maybe test the measurement on another persons arm (e.g. with less hairs) without success, then i would say it is a hardware problem.
I tested it on my wife's arm (no hair) and it didn't work.
I have already activated the warranty, but the support from Amazfit is terrible.
I've been waiting for an answer for 1 week and still nothing.
