Haven't received it yet.. Tried different locations through VPN. And some youtubers said it might be rolled back... So just wanted to be sure

Known Issues:
1) We have received several reports on 'Performance FC' issues. Such phenomenon described as devices with Android 5.0/ 6.0/ 7.0 encountering 'Performance FC' right after updated. To avoid massive impactions, we have delayed the updates. Updates will be released after issues are fully investigated and solved. However, devices with Android 4.4, Mi 4c and Mi Note Pro can get the update as usual.
2) Update for Mi 4S and Redmi 1 suspended this week due to stability test.

Well ive been out the loop for a month or so. But a while back Xiaomi were making a big fuss about 8.2 about to come out... Redmi note 4 will get it by the end of feb....
I just got back and put my phone online.... and no new updates. Still running 8.1.4.0...

You have to check if you Rom is xiaomi official one, many shops put some fake miuis so that could be a reason. By the way miui 8.2 is what made me switch to lineage because in miui 8.2 there was a bug in fingerprint sensor where sometimes the unlock wouldn't work and led you to lock screen so you had to press 2 times the fingerprint sensor.

No 8.2 for MTK variant yet.
ohh so its not actually out yet...
I didnt really want to go with a third party rom like lineage as much as im sure its great, simply because I use banking apps... and my one actively blocks root phones.

Lineage OS is for Snapdragon varient, just saying. If you have the Snapdragon varient, they might already have 8.2.
Where did you read that 8.2 will be relased by end of the februar?
Sadly no im on MTK...
And i read it on the MIUI forums when they announced it... They cant be dropping support the MTK already? (though i guess it wouldnt surprise me) Android security patches are... well theres been a few since feb...
Is there any work for lineage to be ported to mtk?
I only rooted my old LG P500 dinosaur because it never go upgraded. Came with Froyo. Before it died, I was running Kitkat omnirom, apps that were not supposed to be on it, quite well. Xposed, of course.
I have gotten two upgrades already on my Note 4. Have 8.1.7. So I am staying stock for now. Want to see Nougat running on this thing, though the UX will not change so much.
BTW, certain setup features that seem to be missing on Miui are still there. One can get them using QuickShortcutMaker. Goodies like app management and setting home launcher, many more listed!

Still not sure what's going on with the official updates, as the version available for download from the miui site is 8.0.4.0. There have been a few subsequent versions that went up but were taken down again, due to stability issues (i think). I've seen the official China ROM had an update to 8.2 (still based off marshmallow), but it seems like it needs some further work as it's a bit buggy.

No it's comes with android 10 only and we are getting android 9 ..for what !! and why ..

Dont worry, Android 10 will come soon.
Only force dark apps it's missing, literally just that, for me it's more disappointing that an Android update just bring that.

For it it's a very bad experience its lags a lot and it the official one I got from ota. compared to 10.3.15 it a downgrade for me not an update. it's just bad

Wow that's bad. Did you try to hard reset? Should fix this. Still no update here on Global ROM..
Guys it's a good update. Yes it is hardly to get to use to some new features and updates but I can confirm the battery lasts longer with this update, some of the services removed or replaced to reduce power drain like "Start in background" permission I don't see it anymore... in MIUI 10 it was set by default. Ambient display with the new AOD feature is also nice.
On MIUI the way to go is use the BETA ROMS, i'm very satisfied with the latest.
MIUI 11, Android Q, stable, best BB so far

Brightness Automatic is off, Level is slight above 55%, so it's always this level.
The Phone is on for 2 Days and 4 Hours.
Battery Level is at 53% and i had so far 4 hours and 40 mins of SoT.

Why nobody talks about Google maps issue? If you're in Europe and you have a Chinese rom you'll not have the Google maps time-line on.. It's a big bug that can't be solved because it's a beta rom

Idk about other's but I, don't talk about it cause i'm in South America and use HereWeGo
In fact, i debloat any Android i own (MIUI or not) to only have the Play Store and Play Services from google. Not even chrome or gmail i use.
Yeah that was kinda disappointing. But then Xiaomi never put the Android version front and center but MIUI. Always. Major Android update is like point 7 on the changelog for a random update.

There you can see if your phone can participate to a beta program (open Beta - personal - join to project, if exist).

I see, but now the p40 pro has the stable version out. So it is no more in the beta testing... I've tried that method before...

No I am in Morocco (North Africa). But I haven't got the update yet. I meant that the beta testing is finished. So there will be only stable. It is said that it might take up to 2 months to reach your device...
But I really want it. Because I bought this phone for the camera and the whole experience...

For me, everything works perfectly fine. Maybe messenger sometimes does not refresh but it is just because I don't use it much and the ai takes it as something not important. Otherwise the phone is perfect. I love the battery. I charge it just every night at 10 Pm. And it lasts the whole 24 hours after with no issue... (10 hours screen on time)
I have a Motorola Edge 30 Fusion and there may be some problems with the Android System, which causes extremely slow response in Settings application, lock screen, volume slider, etc.
Sometimes it takes seconds for the settings app to load when I long press the quick settings tiles from notification bar. When I press the three dots button below the volume slider it takes about 4 seconds for the volume control settings to come out from the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it takes seconds to lock or unlock the phone after I press the power button. This phone with SD888+ and 12GB of RAM is almost slower than my Galaxy S9+ with SD845 and 6GB of RAM.
What rom version are you using on it? Global rom, chinese rom..? Mine is global version S3SJ32.1-26-7 android 12 and till now are working stable

I'm on global verison ROM. It was 3SJ32.1-86-2 and recently updated to S3SJ32.1-86-1-3. Both have the problem. And the random read speed is quite low, never higher than 10 MB/s. They still haven't fixed the Kioxia UFS problem.

I bought my S30 pro from aliexpress with global version S3SJ32.1-26-7. So I don't know where you bought yous. So with you can try this version if you bought your there. This are the place where you can find roms https://t.me/s/motoupdatestracker?q=tundra. There are some videos on youtube showing how to install this. Or make contact with seller to help you on it. Let me know about it.
