Since upgrading to the android pie beta, I'm getting random vibrates, as if a notification has come in but I have no notification. Anyone else experienced this?
I have turned the setting on to turn the screen on with notifications. When I get the random vibrate, the screen does not turn on suggesting it's not a "hidden" notification.

My phone randomly vibrates, usually three or more short vibrations in a row. Even when I have vibrate and haptic feedback off I get vibrations. It's not a notification or an alert or anything. My phone will just be sitting on my desk and start vibrating over and over.
Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know how to fix it? It's rather annoying....
Hi All,
I´ve flashed deodexed XWLS8 stock from here and I am experiencing vibration during call when a new message comes in.
I am not able to disable it even if I have turned off notifications during call.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
The only way to turn off the vibration completely is to select the message app then menu/settings and scroll down towards the bottom till you find "vibrate" butonce you untick it you wont have vibration at all.
I think it vibrates anyway when you have it turned on.
thanks but I don´t think that is right. The setting you are suggesting WILL turn off vibration for that app completely.
I don´t think it should be vibrating when I am speaking to someone else, its very annoying.
Thanks!
If its set to vibrate in settings it will vibrate no matter what.In the latest firmware releases Samsung have changed the system.UI so this could also change the behaviour of things compared to previous firmwares.
Hello!
Please, is there anyone who knows how to easily and quickly disable Honor 7's notification vibrations and keep only the notification sounds on? I know I can go to Settings-Sound and turn it off completely etc., but I mean a way hot to turn it off quickly, for example by a widget or another quick setting and of course to be able to turn it on quickly again later. My old Android HTC Desire Z was able to turn it off only by repeated tapping on the speaker icon in the quick settings menu which I pulled down on the screen. It ciclically set up sound with vibration, only sound, only vibrations or complete mute. Honor 7 seems to bind vibrations with sound and that is all. I also tried some widgets which pretended turning it off but vibrations were still going on. It seems to me that the more I use this phone the more it sucks in many tiny details which were routine even on my older Android.
Thanks for help!
Hi
After updating to MM (never happened before), sometimes the notification led doesn't work when receiving whatsapp. The phone sounds and vibrates normally, but the led remains off. It happens once in a while, but it happens.
Someone else with this issue? Any solution?
No one?
This isn't my first Galaxy S device so I know my way around all the settings but this one has me scratching my head. When my device is in 'Sound' mode my phone still vibrates when receiving notifications and I'm not seeing an option to turn it off in the Settings or Notification settings. Is anyone else running this issue? or is my phone just odd?
go into settings -> sounds and vibration -> vibration intensity
find the notification slider and turn it all to the left to turn vibrations off entirely

Yup, vibration intensity should give you all the adjustments you need for calls, notifications, etc.
The only problem with this method is that when my device is in 'Vibrate' mode, my device won't vibrate when I receive a notification. I even went to Bestbuy to check out their demo devices, and it turned out that even their devices were missing that option. I don't understand how/why Samsung would leave out such important feature. Fortunately for us, Samsung is one of those companies that actually listen and care about what their consumers want so hopefully they'll release a firmware update that addresses this issue.

I don't want my phone to vibrate while it rings or whenever I receive a text message. I want my phone to vibrate when in 'Vibrate' mode.
Same problem here. They completely removed the option to have your phone not vibrate with texts when sound is on. Wtf
