Issue with installing Disable Forced Encription - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
So i was following this guide: "Poco F1 - How to Unlock Bootloader & Install TWRP Recovery (IN JUST 5 MINUTES) by Xtream Droid" on youtube (can't post links yet)
After having installed TWRP and booting into it through Fastboot I get a prompt to enter a password. I hit cancel and slide to allow modifications.
I go to WIPE->Format Data->type yes and I get an error saying something about phone being encrypted (3 red lines, same as in tutorial at 5:32).
After this the guy from the video goes to the pc and transfers the DisableForcedEncryption.zip file to the TWRP folder.
My problem right now is that i can't see it on my pc. How can I transfer the DisableForcedEncryption.zip at this point? (edit: just had plug the cable back again to access the TWRP folder)
Also when I try to reboot to recovery it goes straight to Mi Recovery instead of TWRP. Did I do something wrong?
Thank you in advance

Since your device is encrypted and twrp couldn't decrypt it, hence you can't access Internal memory while on twrp. You van either use an SD card to flash the disabler zip file or use the trwp that comes with working decryption. You won't be needing to flash the DFE zip file.

Bro just flash another twrp with decrypted SD card
Download this recovery
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283470
N flash this recovery u don't need to wipe
You can access your internal memory directly

Help, soft-bricked Mi Note 4 (mido) while trying to install Resurrection Remix

This is what I did:
1. Unlocked the bootloader (requested permission and used Mi Unlock app)
2. Installed the latest TWRP (twrp-3.1.1-0-mido.img), via:
adb reboot bootloaderfastboot flash recovery3. Booted into TWRP (Vol+ and power)
4. Flashed SuperSU v2.78
5. Wiped Cache/Delvik/System/Internal
Then wanted to copy RR.....mido...zip and gaps...zip to the phone's Internal Memory - but couldn't as after pressing CTRL-V it would just sit there. So I tried using a different windows machine and a linux box, but the problem was still the same.
I then thought I'll try a micro-SD card which I inserted, but when I wanted to mount it, TWRP wouldn't let me - the check box remained unchecked.
At that point I ran out of options and rebooted it. But now it's stuck at Mi, mi.com. Pressing Vol- & Power gets me to Fastboot - but I don't know what to do next.
Could someone please tell me what I can do next. And also what I did wrong - so others can learn from my mistake.
Many thanks
Tomasz.

Go to fastboot mode and Reflash twrp, next boot to twrp.
Once you're in twrp, wipe everything except internal storage /SD card then flash cm14.1 firmware, flash Rom & Gapps and reboot!
Links :-
*.cm14.1 firmware.zip
*.RR Rom
*.Gapps
And also, DL all those files and put em' all to your SD card, insert SD card then move on! Goodluck
Thanks

Np, always here to help xD
how to move towards fastboot by ADB?
I can move to twrp recovery by the command adb reboot recovery
worked for me also

Tried everything else for past 3 days, Cannot get Root access.

Tried everything for past 3 days, I cannot get Root access.
1) Bootloader unlocked
2) Activated Developer options
3) downloaded Su
4) Flashify or such other options don't work.
5) Also installed Minimum ADB & Fastboot, renamed recovery file, (and I believe also installed the TWRP).
Still can't get to the option of Install Recovery, Take Backup of Stock ROM or Data.
Tried Vol up + Power button, but there is no option to install (despite having SU in a memory card). The only options I get ( on a touch sensitive screen) are to test the phone on some criteria (technical terms I can''t remember) along with an option for Chinese. The options on the screen were Fastboot, download, recovery (and 1 more I can't remember currently)..
I suppose I have to choose Fastboot, and then install TWRP (I renamed the img file as recovery.img before installing it through a cmmand prompt (run as administrator).

Besides, I was stuck at the penultimate step, and no answer I saw, or youtube videos I watched helped. I have posted at two other places (at the right places) within this forum as well, and would request alecxs, and such members to be more helpful when they come across such a query, than call names/ spam.

i know it may frustrating, maybe next time just post a link to your thread.
as @narshi shukla mentioned, you have to initial boot in recovery from fastboot (btw there is no need to flash, just booting is required at this time)
have you downloaded the right twrp image, check the size of your file? you can alternative download from the mentioned support thread
did you read the note?
"Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot."
this means your stock recovery will maybe flashed back over twrp right after reboot. you have to repeat the steps each time, until you have successful entered into twrp recovery.
once in twrp recovery, you have to select the SuperSU.zip from external sd card. press the "install" button and select file. if file is not visible, go back and press the "mount" button, make sure external sd card is mounted. you can use a USB-OTG-Adapter and mount a USB-Stick as well.
go back to install and select the zip file, swipe to confirm flash. if flashing fails, goto "Advanced" and select "copy log to SD". you can upload the recovery.log file here for further analysis

I had the same problem, to fix it download twrp-k5-3.0.2-r2_shreps.img instead of twrp-k5-3.0.2-r1_shreps.img.

Use Magisk for Rooting. It is the best. Make sure you have installed TWRP. You can use KingoRoot or KingRoot app, if your Android version is 2.2 , 2.3 , 4.0, 4.3, 4.4, 5.0

It was all going so well too... Help with a boot loop brick atm :)

Hi all,
I went ahead and rooted my Mate 10 Pro today - I unlocked my bootloader, installed TWRP and got it running pretty sweet. Then, like a tool - tried installing xposed framework and got myself into a boot loop.
I can get to fastboot, I can get into twrp - but for the life of me don't know how to get a system wipe and fresh format! I've tried flashing LineageOS - but that's stuck on a loading screen and then boot loops after about 10minutes.
What happens is I turn my phone on - see the bootloader message - if I do nothing there's a 50/50 changes Huawei's eRecovery window opens (where if i connect it to the wifi, it fails and gives me the option of reboot or shutdown) or LineageOS boot animation loops for about 10minutes before shutting down.
At this stage, I don't mind what rom i get working - i just want something working and I'm really regretting xposed (I should of googled!).
I really don't want to pay $40 usd - and am happy tinkering around, but would appreciate some solid advice on how I can use TWRP to wipe everything and start again!
I'm also a little confused as to why eRecovery is coming up at all - and why it can't download anything!!!!!
Can someone help me get a phone back?
Thanks!
Yeah, I bootlooped going with xposed too, but I have the Mate 10 (regular) and no TWRP. Can you get to TWRP and simply flash a clean ROM? If not, which I presume is the case, can you get to Fastboot? To try, when you get to the eRecovery window, use the option to shut down your phone. Then press the power button and, while holding it, plus in your USB cable (the other end which should already be attached to your computer). Then go to Mankindtw's thread for flashing ROMs (Mate 10 Flash Oreo one). Basically, you download three zip files from a russian language page with all the latest Huawei ROMs, repackage them within his utility, and then flash them from within his utility. Worked for me.
download update.zip (for your firmware) from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database
Extract update.app from update.zip
Download Huawei Update Extractor (open it and go to settings and disable header check)
Open update.app in Huawei Update Extractor
Extract SYSTEM from update.app using Huawei Update Extractor.
(Not sure if Xposed modifies vendor too, so you might have to extract that as well)
Fastboot flash system system.img
See if it boots now. If not you could try extracting recovery_ramdisk and flash recovery_ramdisk.img to the recovery_ramdisk partition then factory reset from stock recovery.
If it does modify vendor you'd have to flash vendor as well.
Or you could try flashing lineage os system, flash recovery_ramdisk and factory reset from stock recovery (factory reset is needed to get aosp roms running)
If it still fails, use mankindtws HWOTA as described by rogerinnyc above. (link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-mate-10-flash-oreo-update-package-t3716814)
Stock rom seems to be installing. TY for your help

The problem I'm having now is, on my win7 and win10 pc's - when I enter fastboot, neither PC will accept drivers for it and therefore, I can't fastboot flash anything.
I just get '<waiting for device>' even when plugged in (and windows 'driver no successful' message)
Is there a way to transfer the files via twrp adb sideload?

Sadly no, this corresponds to reflashing the whole phone, block by block.
have you tried to find matching drivers ? (it should be pretty easy on windows 10 normally...)

Install this regfix https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-mate-10-fastboot-usb-device-not-recognised-fix
However, you would probably have had problems before too when flashing twrp.
But worth a shot I guess.
Didn't see it said you tried on win 7 too.
And if it worked before on Win 10 it should work without it.
I guess you could push system.img to /data/system.img then tap Install and selectInternal storage, tap on (go up one level) in browser, now you'll be at /. Tap on /data and then on system.img. Flash to 'System Image'.
Edit: I've tested with recovery and that flashes fine from /data/.
please see below;
Hi all. My SDCARD was encrypted in TWRP, so I googled and saw I should run this command;
recovery --wipe_data --set_filesystem_encryption=off
Which I did on TWRP terminal - and now im boot looping again. I tried fastboot system.img and it's still bootloading. I see there's supposed to be a 'boot.img' in my update.app, but there isn't.
Any ideas?

Boot.img is for Nougat. Oreo uses ramdisk.
Try wiping data in TWRP (Wipe - Format Data).
You can't turn off encryption in TWRP. It's controlled by /vendor/etc/*.fstab (* = kirin970 in this case). (You can temporarily turn off encryption but it re-encrypts after booting if fstab is untouched)
But removing encryption won't fix you bootlooping, and that command you used is for Full disk encryption, we use file based encryption.
You could also try flashing back stock recovery and do factory reset from there.
Edit: Oh, you're the guy who PM'd me
I've reflashed my 'system.img' as before - but im having trouble getting into factory reset menu.
all it ever does is go into e'Recovery instead, which is useless.
Also, my booting image is still a green page of pixels - rather than a huawei logo.
Hi. I have a bla-a09 and need help. can boot into twrp but will not boot.

umm, eh, i didnt understand a word you were saying after "flash twrp"
I did this. Coming from miui 10.0.4
- Restart in fastboot mode.
- Flash TWRP
- Enter recovery. Flash magisk. Maybe here u will got a problem with data partition... ( I have it.. my solution was using orange fox).
- After this u got your device rooted... Restart in system. Install magisk APK.
If you have that problem with the data partition...
Here in the forum there is a lot of info about that.
After you flashed twrp from adb via "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" command; hold volume up + power on/off button until you see the teamwin title from your phone. So you must be in twrp now.. Your data will be crypted because using twrp for the first time. Go to wipe - format data, write "yes" and confirm. Reboot recovery by going to ‘Reboot’ -> ‘Recovery’. go to the ‘Mount’ menu. press the ‘Enable MTP’ button. Transfer Magisk 17.2 to your phone's internal storage (check other posts for guide, you will use adb sideload) or you can just move your magisk file to your sd card or your flash drive(you will need otg cable to connect flash drive to phone) . Return to menu, go to install, press magisk.zip and then swipe to flash it. When the installation is complete, press the ‘Wipe Cache/Dalvik’ button. And that's it now just reboot your system

I'm stuck on Orange Fox for hours now. In twrp there is a chance for loosing my data, so I am using orange fox. After unlocking the bootloader I flashed the Orange Fox recovery and while performing a nandroid backup, it shows me a error saying "error on uevent". But the nandroid backup finished and so I carried on with the process. Now I wiped my data, system and dalvik and normal cache. I clicked on install and on the ROM(arrow) and swiped right. The installation after sometime of progress abruptly ends giving Error 7. So I thought of Restoring back my nandroid backup and it did complete but with an error 255. Can you help me?

PS: I hope you rebooted the recovery after doing all that wiping, and before doing anything else.

About gapps on this device

huawei p20lite(Nova3e). emui9.1.0.132
rooted
I'm sure my device's recovery is covered by magisk(it's not my mistake!),so how should I do to flash gapps zip(from official Opengapps website)?
I've tried googlefier (maybe I remember wrong),but it doesn't work as installer apps I tried
Please forgive me for my poor English
as we konw that huawei's emui has some problems,so microg is also uselessness on my device(signature spoofing supoort)(I've tried core path)
Null
Sorry
1. In fastboot mode flash TWRP , use command
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk TWRP-9.1.img
2.Copy TWRP file to the SD card, and also copy to card Stock Recovery_ramdisk, download here
3. Boot into TWRP, select storage - SD Card, select "Install image", find TWRP file and mark eRecovery, swipe. Go back, find RECOVERY_RAMDISK_ramdisk-9.1 file , mark Recovery, swipe. Reboot system.
4. Boot into TWRP and flash gapps.zip.
P.S.: how to boot into TWRP installed over eRecovery: restart phone, when the yellow warning appears on thet screen, press Volume Up, hold for ~ 3 sec.
Thanks!
if I want to use root of magisk, can I flash the image patched by magisk?are there any effects?
and can I find a way to keep between magisk and tarp on this device?
