Anyone else no longer getting weather effects on lockscreen?
I'm on the newest Oreo 20o and I still have weather effects on my H932 lockscreen.
Had it on mine tonight.
EDIT: Sorry, either you re-titled the thread or I missed you were asking about latest update on H932. I have US998.

No I haven't. It used to work, after flashing newest update, it no longer works.

Did you check the lock screen and security setting? That's where the option is toggled to enable it. Maybe there was an update to the security that requires it to be turned back on.

I tried everything. I even cleared data from the actual app and granted back all permissions.

This is very odd. NYC got snow yesterday. I would not get it on lock
Did a factory reset, and it worked right away. Then we got rain for about 3 hours and my lock screen was blank. No snow or rain. Repeatedly tapped update on weather widget.
Nada zip zlich. Wtf?? Never had any issues like this on my V20.
I know this is just a gimmick, but it's a cool gimmick.

I saw the same thing this morning. I hope Samsung/Sprint hasn't done something to make it even more difficult to root the phone.

If you got to Settings > General > System Update you can uncheck "Auto Update"
Menu/Settings/General tab/Security/Security policy updates

I did locate the security policy updates however no Auto Update can been seen in the menus. If I search for the key words auto update I find it and it's checked. Un checking takes me to the below screen shot. Problem is Un checking won't stick.
Edit: Just realized this is the Sprint Forum for the Note 3. I will ask the question in the T mobile area, sorry.

Yeah, However the N900T does not allow me to disable Auto Updates. Searching for it using keywords brings it up but I cannot uncheck it. They make me Auto Update. LOL

Interesting... I am able to uncheck mine but I am on Sprint.
I'm rooted and I received the same update when I woke up today. Still have root and haven't noticed any issues yet.

I received the 4.4.2 Verizon update and periodically I get a pop-up that wants me to sign up/sign in to the Samsung website and become a member before I can read the privacy policy. Since I do not have access to this policy as I will not sign up/provide marketing and SPAM information to Samsung I have to decline the option each time.
How do I prevent this unreasonably frequent demand for my personal information interfering with my use of my Note 2/Verizon?
The method is to be used only and ONLY to prevent getting locked out of your OWN device and works practically for every device out there using Google Keyboard(maybe others too) bypassing the Factory Reset Protection:

Avoid other videos stolen from this(Rootjunky ninja). Thanks for acting ethical !

I believe this was fixed in the January security release. No more getting around factory resets.
This was in fact fixed in the January release.

Yeah it is fixed so you can't enable developer options straight away, but there's a way around it as google hasn't fixed how you reach the dialer and settings, though I don't care to share more.
This was only meant for people got stuck out of their phone and locked phones don't update, so no worries.

Yeah and the guy is a f'kin ninja stealing from other people's work. Someone had the instructions pasted with a video, this clown deleted it and is ranting on it as if he reinvented the wheel.
No he already said that he didn't figure it out it was a second user who passed it on and he did a video tutorial on it
has anyone tried this after the January update?

Maybe you missed a step. Make sure to go in developer settings in rom and turn allow OEM unlocking on. Then go into fastboot mode and run: fastboot OEM unlock.

There are also some mods that can be installed as magisk modules like viper4android they you could try. Haven't personally used them with this phone but I used to use viper4android back when I had the g2 and it worked well. Just go into magisk app and go to downloads tab and download and install the viper mod or other audio mods. Nice part is if you don't like them you can just remove the module from the app.

Go for ARISE mod. Charming sound. I just love it. It gives different dimension to the music we listen. Clear, loud and pure sound.
I am using ARISE 3.1 (flashed modular version rather the aroma version). I love it.

I'm having this issue too, tried calling customer service and they want me to take it in.
No calling plus on the unlocked version? I do have the Wi-Fi calling option under phone settings .. sometimes I wonder if it’s possible to flash the sprint version on a unlocked model, but ugh the bloatwate.

I hear you man. I use to love flashing all my phones but I haven't really dont much modding ot anything like that in a very long time. Today's phones work so good out of the box now a days that I dont really feel the need to. But now with the theme store where you can customize the look of me phone if find it's not even necessary to root or anything like that. I'm extremely happy with my setup. But just looking forward for the official updates to take advantage of all the features oreo has to offer.
