How can a person tell if a specific ROM will work with the carrier they choose?
Example: I have a Moto E that I want to use on the AT&T network... Which ROM would I choose in order for my phone to work on that system?
Thanks.

Hi all,
On the Note 2 they were able to flash 7105 rom, which is a LTE EU rom, on the AT&T version.
Don’t anyone thinks it will be able to do the same thing on the HTC One with the 801n and the AT&T version?
I'm brining this up just because of the updates and the bloat ware.
Thanks,

On the One XL, we've been able to flash ROMs with both European and Asian bases. The ROM base doesn't really matter as long as it's the same phone hardware.
You can as long as they have the same dev name. Easiest way to check is to look at hboot and see the name. Just know that flashing AT&T ROMs/801n ROMs will not unlock any new radio bands.
So I bought a galaxy note for my mom, because she broke her other phone and her contract is up in a month and didn't want to extend it with Rogers. My question is that the person whom I bought it from had it 'unlocked' to work with all the cellular providers here in Canada. So I assume he flashed the AWS bands onto the phone. Leading up to my question, which rom should I flash onto the phone without risking that the AWS bands be "de-flashed". The phone currently has T-mobile ROM on it, so my natural intuition leads me to assume that I can flash T-mobile ROMs onto the phone no problem. But please enlighten me if weather I assume right or wrong.
P.S: The reason I want to flash any ROM onto the phone is that she is used to Vanilla Android and doesn't care for, in fact hates, Touchwiz.
ROMs won't affect the modem/radio unless you install a stock ROM with Odin.
And even if you change the modem/radio the SIM unlock sticks no matter what you throw at it.
Hello
I want to buy moto e 2nd gen and i am confused which one to go for...
I want to be able to use it with my non us carrier and i want to install custom rom on it... Can i do that with xt 1527? I know xt1528 is useless when it comes to bootloader unlocking so no custom roms but it somehow works with gsm sim cards with some tinkering and AT&T variants can be unlocked to use with different carriers......
And here is this XT1526 Sprint, boost, US cellular all with same model number.... i am confused... which moto e 2nd gen should i buy...?
Please give me your advice...
Regards!!
Hi, I have the US version of the Moto E (XT1527). I installed Android 7 on it, and it's just too unstable and I need to re-install the original ROM.
Unfortunately, I didn't back it up, so I need to find the original/stock ROM that came with the phone.
I found the XT1527 section on the firware.center website, but I'm not sure which one to choose...there are like 30 ones to choose from.
Does anyone know which ROM would work for my phone?
My phone IS unlocked...and I think it has an AT&T sim, but I'm not sure.
Thanks!
Hello, I used to be big on flashing custom ROMs until verizon locked everything up. I am planning to get an unlocked phone (so i can unlock the booloader) and a new carrier so I can get back into it. Any suggestions on phone brand and model and carrier? I want the largest screen I can get.

You can start here > https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/
Most ROMs are lineage based
As far as Carrier are concerned, I'm an ATT customer. But I have no problems using TMobile or any of the many spin offs from them both.
I recommend these because their GSM carrier's and most all unlocked phones work with them.

I want to get an unlocked phone soon . Look up Game of Roms on YouTube. He shows new Roms. It's usually a pixel or redmi phone . Be sure your phone is treble enabled and you can install the gsi can . I believe that's generic system image , and you can install on your phone.
