And you have LG screen or BOE?
Display smearing is normal for OLED displays. And you can't show this by capturing your screen as this is a mechanical problem.

As you can see on the video it's clear.. Like it's not a mecanical problem

Its clear in my mobile lol. You have to record it with another phone to us can see it.

It is an OLED problem in general.
"This is because changing pixels to and from pure black is slower than changing to and from other colours."

SAMOLED Issue

I have noticed a line through my SAmoled display in camera use. point camera into dark area then look at screen area level with the bottom of volume rocker. Does anyone else see a line right through screen horizontally? Now i see it in all screens and apps :-(
To show what i mean i must take a photo with another camera.

Sounds like software bug , if It's only in camera mod .
Unfortunately I dont think it is software, its very feint but its there. I see it even in lock screen but it is very hard to see.

Ok I see . Maybe It's some pixels that's got stuck u can try some of pixels repair apps on the marked .
Yes, mine has a similar fault. It's faint so very difficult to get a photo of it.
*#0*# into your keypad and run the RGB tests.
Mine is a row of dead red pixels. I'm waiting on O2 to send out an exchange.
I had the same issue, seems to be an issue with the screen. I swapped mine out at Phones4U.

Entire screen is yellow or just the left side?
Try to check if your screen mode is set to standard instead of movie, this is found under display.

Is my Super AMOLED busted or something?

So i've heard that the S-AMOLED and S-AMOLED Plus technology has "Perfect" Blacks! Like the Blacks don't even "Light-up".
Is it true? Or is it just a marketing thing? :/
Try this and tell me what do u have?
Turn off all the lights in the night and then view some BLACK picture. U'll see that the Blacks are kinda "Greyish" :/
And there are some pixels that are perfectly black.. but they're just Random... :/
known "issue" on lowest screen brightness
Ohk.. So its not "Completely Black".
theres also another problem with it aswell... When I view some pitch black picture in a completely dark room. I see some small rectangular shapes that are "Pitch Black" in that Greyish background. I cant snap a picture of that unfortunately but u kinda get the idea. Can someone try this with there own S3 and report me? :/
It'll be quite helpful
Is well known issue.

Mine does the same thing: darker black splotches when viewing a black picture on the dimmest screen setting in a dark room.
Fortunately I don't often find myself looking at all-black images in the dark. It's hardly a major issue.
this issue is quite common, even on iPads, Motorola etc...apparently it is the adhesive within the layers of the AMOLED that causes an "ink" mark when screen displays black images within a dark environment...nothing is actually wrong with your scren, mine has 2 very small dots...while my other friend has had his replaced because the issue was far more prominant...so there is a possibility of claiming warranty? but this will depend on the country/retailer/etc...but always worth giving it a shot if you cant stand this issue...but yes, earlier batches, the issue was far more obvious...but later ones are better but information from other XDA threads suggest that you WONT find a unit without any marks...period.

what problem is this on my screen? pic attached

hello all,
i have an LG G2 and I noticed there are weird horizontal lines showing on my screen as shown in the picture (lines showing across the picture with pants)
does anyone know what this problem is?
Can't recognize any lines, but if you think that there is a problem you should make use of your warranty and get that thing fixed. Can you see the lines in all circumstances, like e.g. playing games, white background, black background etc. ?
Cant see anything... Maybe its a problem of liquid spill lr something... Better to get it fixed with service centers
Does it show up all the time in all the apps?
Its because of the amoled display, 99% of amoled displays have either these kinds of lines, or little black stains, and can be seen with black backround, the lowest brightness, and under a certain angle dont worry

G2 has a LCD. (http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g2-5543.php)
@op Get it checked at the service center. I would also have a look at another G2 just to make sure.

Display question...
From the tiny picture, it appears to be an issue with the poster of that pic, and not your device, unless those lines are moving with sceeen scrolling and can be seen in other images.
Aside from this, it might just be 'that' image, and not a true problem.
Take a pic with your phone's camera and view that image, if you see lines on your image, then you probably have a defective screen, as the capacitive touch screen overlay does not cause these issues on their own, they have no direct connection to the screens, they are overlaid onto the screen, and not a physical part of it.
I see the lines. There's one in the first thumbnail and several in the fourth one.
I have the exact same issue on my phone after having a broken screen replaced. Did you ever solve the issue?

just bought it and i will sell it

IPS screens has a little gray on black surfaces. Thats a common problem of lcd panels. It is a lot more brighter compared to amoled. But amoled is a little more better. Your problem is with the screen. Not the phone. So stop yelling and blaming the phone. I dont have the problems which you have. But some people i know had the same issue and they gave their devices to service. Guess what? Service took the old and gave the new devices with the latest update. They say they dont have problem.
Please, do not blame anything without searching. You are just being a crybaby and a hater. I dont even think you know anything about android devices...

The screen is washed out and too bright by default but fortunately you can fix this with the "white balance" option under screen settings.
Hope it helps.
I prefer this screen but not a total black than the Amoled screens which they are marked by the images that last a long time on screen.
After having tweaked the screen via the white balance, I have to honestly say it's the best screen I've had on compared to all previous phones I've owned.
Previously I had the Xperia Z3, however, decided to upgrade to the C5 Ultra due to the larger screen and thin bezels. Honestly, the C5 has a bettr screen than the Z3.
Colours, contrast and black levels are fantastic and the balance between everything is spot on.
Here is my white level configuration which looks superior to the default one:
Red 24
Green 5
Blue 49
Image enhancement turned off since it is too vibrant, similar to amoled which colours are too strong and not accurate.
Now please don't tell me the screen is $hit when trying the above settings.
I can even upload several pictures taken of my phone by another phone when playing a 5Gb 1080P Bluray movie. Looks mindblowing.
Refer to THIS page and scroll down to the bottom, PLEASE tell me what is wrong with the colours??
