Pace - Change heart interval rate misuration, how? - Amazfit

Can't find a solution to my question, so I open a thread here
I had a BIP and set automatic heart monitoring every 30 minutes directly from the app, but on Pace there's not such option
So is it possible to set to 30 or 60 minutes? How?
My PACE have AmazIT 8.0 ROM (of course unlocked bootloader)
Thanks in advance

No there isn't. I have asked them to include it. It's one obvious omission. Another one is the absence of a graph or arrows to show if the Barometer is rising or falling. There is also no way to calibrate the barometer so it's very inaccurate.

Ouch, too bad

Periodic HR check? and changing quick replies for sms

Is there a way to have the S Health do a periodic check of my HR? I had a fitbit I was wearing before this and I liked it keep track of my HR. with the Gear S (which replaced the fitbit) I don't get my HR readings unless I continuously check for my HR. is this possible? maybe on the hour, or it can check while I'm walking, running etc...
and also I want to add/edit some of the quick replies. I want to add "lol" to them Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!

Lap time by gps position

Hi all,
I don't know if this already exist or if it is even possible from the technical perspective. I've tried to find how to do it, mainly trying to install one of the already existings apps for android but only one is compatible with the amazfit pace architecture and the result in the watch screen is to poor.
The point is to have a new activity in the smartwatch that record laps by GPS position (fe some garmin models do this as well). You set at the beginning a start point and every time you cross that point the activity set a new laptime. It will be usefull for different sports as for example circuit cycling or motorsports like go karts/motorbikes.
Does someone know if this is possible or if already exist something similar?
Regards
Which device? Pace and Stratos have a function called Autolapse which I guess is what you are looking.

Hi nhedgehog, thanks for your reply.
I have an Amazfit Pace... I can see the autolap by distance or by time but can't find the autolap by gps start position or something called autolapse, where is that? Do you have any custom rom installed?
I don't think you can do it besides auto lap by distance or time, as most watches do. If you need anything else then probably you must export the GPX data on watch, transfer it to computer then use a third party service to edit the data.
I'll answer later, just switched the ROM, don't know if I got confused with all that new settings.
I'm on the Amazfit Pace Chines BETA 2.0.6.12 ROM. Here is a thread which lists the activity settings of some outdoor activities.
You are right I can't define a GPS position as Lap Starting. I have the possibility to define autolap by distance and set this alert on or off but not what you were looking for.
I also would be interested by this GPS lap function
WOS2 on Pace has an "Auto Lap" setting (with option of notification separate from the normal lap notification where you can set the lap length), most probably it exists on Stratos as well... Does it do what you need?

Amazfit Bip ios HR

Hey, i just received my Bip and synced correctly with iPhone, but when i workout at gym or somewhere, it doesnt save the HR to calculate the burned calories and other aspects, is there any app or something? Because I think that the Bip only uses GPS to estimate pace, but not the HR monitoring.
Sorry for my English, hope you understand.
As far as I know, all Amazfit watches record HR during activities: BIP, Pace and Stratos. They won't use it for calories burnt for common steps (not in any activity) so far. Are you sure your HRM is working? Can you get an individual measurement with the watch?

How can i access to that measurement with ios? Through the health app or with the mi fit app?

You don't need the app to check if it's working, simply do a manual measurement using the watch. Can you get a value? Does it look reasonable?
But to answer your question, MiFit should display all HRM data after a sync, at least this is how it works with Pace and Amazfit app.

Yes, i did a manual measuremente and got 53, but for example, i workout without running, and with 1 hour of training it says 2-3 calories burned, and that is not logic.
If you get bad HRM then it will result in non logic calories burnt data as well... And if you get bad HRM with other person using the watch then probably it has a bad HR sensor and should be replaced.
No, i think the measurement its correct, i tried with several persons and the HBR is correct, but its not used for burned calories, or i dont know how to apply it.
Amazfit watches use a very basic algorithm to calculate burnt calories due to daily steps, it doesn't use HR, even if continuous HRM is on. HR is only used for recorded activities (and even then it seems to be underestimated).

Amazfit Stratos 2.3.4.0 International Rom is out

Changes:
- Multilingual support (Chinese, Spanish, English, Russian)
- Heart rate zones customisable with Watch app 2.5.2
- Optimized HR and step algorithms
- Optimized distance algorithm
- Bug fixes and optimized system stability
- Auto pause for activities
and the altimeter is working now?
Autopause is here also finaly
They could have added interval workout also to ride a bike. I'm waiting for this.
I added auto pause to the change log.
Nice... Auto Pause works fine
Training Load now wrong. It shows 243 and high (red), before in 2.3.28 it was even higher or same and showed optimal. Optimal should be correct. My VO2max is 0 (zero) because I am not running recently because of my knee injury. I think it is taking now the 0 VO2max into the calculation of training load. How is yours?
Now I had my first bug of new version 2.3.4.0. After doing a workout with external HR chest strap my HR showed was 88 for all night long and all sleep data was wrong.
Heart rate ist too low. Did a race yesterday. HR max was 157 resulting in vo2max about 61 [emoji16][emoji50]
New option for reserved heart rate is not there. Already did a factory reset. Didnt help. Very dissapointing.
Yes, the HR sensor is really bad. Only usable for resting HR. You need to use a strap. My BerryKing works great and has Ant+ as well. I did a factory reset as well but I think we have to wait for a new version of the smartphone app for that new HR feature.
They didn't solve that bug with internal HR always on during an excercice even if external HR strap is connected. So the battery keeps draining with no reason.
Some issues I have noticed in the latest ROM:
- connection issues with iOS 11.4, even after watch reset
- measurement system (imperial/metric) is tied to the language so, as an international user, to have the watch set to metric we must select spanish. English is tied to imperial.
- the internal HR sensor still doesn't switch off when in an activity and an external sensor is connected
- some menu text (like in Run settings) is much smaller than normal

You can choose your units of measurement in the smartphone app in settings/units.
Hi! How do you install it? I'm on international stock 1.3.8 now. Thx!

1.3.8? It's a Pace software, you cannot install this ROM. For the latest CN firmware for Pace, with option package for better English language support, you can install AmazeROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/rom-amazerom-pace-v1-0-20180618-t3805928
If you meant 2.3.0.8, which is a Stratos firmware, then take a look at first post (OP).

They’re not mirrored on the watch, there used to be an onboard setting for it which has now been removed
Weird, I did not factory reset but unpair the watch which is also deleting all user settings. After selecting English I have metric units.
Heart rate zones customisable
I do not see how I can do this in STRATOS!
Someone can help? Thanks

You have to update the amazfit app

Amazfit 2 stratos interval workout stop

Hi everybody
I bought the amazfit 2 and had a few difficulties with interval workouts.
After i set a training in my phone app and synced it to the watch i went for a run.
In most times the training stop and wont continue to the next lap/interval/repeat/segment and i have to stop the activity and start a new running activity.
Does anyone had this problem and can help me work it out ?
Same problem here
I am having the exact same problem here. Doing interval training, set to trigger on a given distance. After the second or third interval repeat the watch get stuck and the next interval never starts, forcing me to save the activity and start a new one. This is really not ideal. I was using a BT HRM, wondering if that might be contributing to the issue ?
First of all, there is no Stratos 2:
Stratos is Huami Sports Watch 2, or simply Stratos (some call it Pace 2, since it came after Pace, but it's also wrong).

That being clarified, there is a know bug about interval repetitions, it hangs after some time. A simple workaround is adding multiple intervals with the same distance (or time), dumb but usually work. If you have an International version of the watch (A1619), you can report it in the link below, maybe they fix it some day:
https://support.amazfit.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
I have that bug when changing screens. If i dont change between screens then no problem at allí.
