Dear all, I've just received the official OnePlus6T 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Here are some of the photos to share with you guys!
The official protector do have black lines on the long edges, after applying, I think it only cover around 1px screen on each side.
Photos shoot from my OP3.

4. What's inside
5. Step 2 is interesting, it actually asked you to use the original TPU case to assist in applying the screen protector
6. Perfect fit
7. The moment just after applying the protector, I've spent quite some time to get rid of all bubbles using the tools provided.
8. Finally !
Showing on oneplus.com now! Thanks for the post.
Thanks , might have to order soon.
Why are there so much bubbles under it?

yes, so many bubbles after applying, need to use the cloth to rub the bubbles away.
Does it have that oily hazing effect that the 5t 3D protectors had?
Slightly off topic but I have one tiny bubble on the stock screen protector. What's the best way to remove it? Didn't see the need to post a brand new thread to have it answered.
Poke a needle to pop it? Any other easy way?
does the black boarder cover any part of the screen?

1 px width on each side OP said in his initial post.
I dont understand the merit of those black borders on four sides, can't they make full transparent one.
Typically black boarders are to mask the protector not completely adhering on the edges

I almost ordered the official one.....I think I may go with the TMobile version glass(no black border)....it's $40 but I can get it today instead of 1.5 weeks for the $20(plus 10shipping)
So I am just considering it as same day delivery surcharge. Ha......I have to make reasoning somehow.
I went and looked at the Purearc at TMobile and walked away. It's the same exact width as the crappy ones on Amazon that don't quite reach the edge of the screen. Not worth it in my opinion

I don't get the company that makes the phone still can't get the right dimensions to avoid coverage of the screen.

That is very stupid of makers to think, even a full transparent one can do the job when the screen has borders itself so it will overlap. Even accurate Size with screen having black borders in tempered glass would have worked as it would just overlap the screen borders but they tend to make a bit shorter which instead add to the already border making the screen shorter from each side. When a mm is making a difference in screen to body ratio to a device now this is really stupid to think a customer will satisfy with that. I will certainly get a case and screen protector as none of my device ever slipped from my hand ever.,?
Did anyone try the official oneplus 3d tempered glass protector with Spigen liquid air case?

This is the one I have, beyond all believe this thing is unbelievably well made.
I cannot express that I have had this single screen protector since May, it has absolutely zero scratches on it, I haven't had to re apply it, even though it comes off and can be put back on instantly.
It's anti glare too. I'll have to charge my camera to take a picture to do this thing justice. the clear material is made out of something like 100x stronger than the black stuff on the edges. I have scuffs and scratches on the protector on the plastic areas, but they are tiny and almost impossible to see since its black on black anyway.
I always thought screen protectors just suck in general and would have to get like a "5 pack" to keep chucking them, this thing is one of a kind.
Wow good find, thanks.
If you order two you save a dollar.
Might have to order one now that I got a tiny scratch on this screen....
if you guys order 3 its only $11.25 because we would get an extra 25% off
Edit: it ended up being $12.15 after tax + free shipping

I have one on my HTC vivid. It has a small gap between the protector and the screen. It works well enough, but will cause the occasional phantom touch. The small gap also removes a little clarity when compared to traditional screen protectors. Its not a bad product. The price reduction only makes it better.

Mine came via USPS priority mail today even though AT&T provided a FedEx tracking number in confirmation e-mail. Installation was easy and it seems to be a nice product. Was able to put my Ventiv case on without lifting up corner of screen protector, which happened with both Zaggs I had on phone.
They do that to save money, it's called smart post or something like that.

What color is what, the screen protector or the case as there are pics at the website when you place the order. The screen protector is translucent primarily and black in the areas of the bezel with "holes" to show the front lights on the bottom face and cutouts for the camera/sensors.
The case is a titanium-like finish aka gunmetal gray basically with the pink and blue inserts (both included).
That's about it.
I got the Moshi screen protector (ordered it Saturday, came about an hour ago), and I had a similar one on an Atrix 2 in 2012 but could never figure out what company made it. As soon as I took this one out of the packaging I realized it was Moshi that made the one for the Atrix 2 so I'm well aware of their quality, and this one for the LGOG is no different. I prefer this kind of screen protector for several reasons: a) no bubbles, and they say that in the marketing info and it's true, there are no bubbles to contend with (although a little dust or whatever can get on your nerves as you try to remove them during the install process), and b) it's a hard piece of whatever material they use so it's easy to remove and reapply (can even be washed if necessary and it'll retain that stickiness for reapplication), and finally c) it's matte and fingerprint proof which is awesome awesome awesome.
Did I say it's awesome?
Anyway, while I'd never pay $25 for one of these, the $5 offer is just too damned good to pass up so if you want something to protect that already tough Gorilla Glass 2 I can't recommend this one from Moshi - for $5, no less - any higher.
Is it possible to use the Moshi screen protector with the body glove case? If not, would it be doable if I trimmed the screen protector?
I can't see why not, the Moshi one is about as thick as a playing card so, it should be just fine as far as I can imagine. It fits almost to the very edge of the glass (like maybe .5mm smaller than the edge of the glass itself), so the case that I have on it right now - a two-piece hard matte black plastic one - fits fine, actually a little more snug because of the thickness of the Moshi protector actually.

These skins look fantastic and D-Brand has a great track record for this sort of thing.
Go ahead and mess around with the different configurations then post a screenshot.
And post real pictures once you receive your Nexus 6 and brand it! (assuming you plan on using a skin)
I just don't like the selection. They need to create more ...
I want matte dark red
Slickwraps have more options
I like the black carbon, red accents I'm excited for this! Now if they could hurry up with the Nexus 9 skins.
I'm curious how they account for the dimple if you don't get the cutout.

Same here,
I want the back with no cutouts but i dont know how the material will look where the nexus logo is, or the M logo.
If you order it with the cutout you can buy the accent(for the cutout and camera lens) but that way you are gonna have some edge around the cutout.
I want to have the black leather to match my moto 360, but i dont want the sticker unstick where the M logo is.
If the glue is strong it should be okay.
Those samples with the accents look pretty sharp. I'm probably going to use a case for a little while, so I'm going to hold off on the skins for now.

I am thinking the same. As a person who can't stand huge and obnoxious branding, I will get the one which has no cut outs. But, like h0bnail said, the dimple makes me want to see it IRL first.

I've never had a skin from them peel. I removed one of their skins to put a different color skin on and it was a lot of work to remove and it left 0 residue so you should be fine.
As far as the dimple you can get a separate piece to go in it for $2. I may get a white N6, get the black CF Dbrand skin with a cutout, and in the cut out have a red accent in the Motorola dot.

That's exactly what in doing with the blue Nexus (except I'm putting s matte black accent on the camera and red carbon on the moto logo). I ordered mine a few days ago, their skins are awesome.
How does the matte finish skin feel?
Does their titanium skin feel metallic?
Wasted a good 30min going through different configs lol.
I'm going with a two-tone blue back with white accent for the M logo and camera. Matte white for the front.
Thanks OP.
Man I have never even heard of them!!! I will most likely be buying myself a set in the coming weeks. Im thinking black steel on the back with white accents.. and an orange front. xD
EDIT: Scratch the front skin.. the nexus 6 looks to be almost completely glass on the front unlike a samsung phone... so it would prob get in the way of a screen protector lol

I don't know what you mean by "metallic feel". I can tell you it looks and feels stylish. Obviously, it's vinyl, not metal, so it's not cold or anything, but it's really cool. It's a bit on the slippery side, but not as much as real metal.
Here it is applied on my white Nexus 5:

By metallic I meant does it feel cold and kind of slippery. I figured since they advertised it as such, it would maybe have a thing layer of aluminium or something. After Googling, I found some nice pictures. That's good to know though.
Thanks!
I just ordered a Black Titanium skin, will be sure to post pictures/video once i get it.
Ordered a black titanium and mahogany, all my previous phones had carbon fiber look, looking for a fresh new look, also looking to buy a bamboo vinyl to cut it myself, they have one but i dont like it because the texture look is crowded. I'm trying to find one to match a closer look to moto x bamboo.
Dbrand posted a picture on their facebook page of an unreleased skin. I really want it since it looks really nice and grippy. I've emailed them about it but haven't gotten a response yet. Hopefully they'll start selling it soon.

from my point of view it would make no sense to produce the glass with ugly black bezels if they would have completely invisible adhesive for application on the screen.
I've brought this one.
It's got huge bezels (the same as the official). If you can live with that great.
It lasted 5 minutes on mine before losing part of my screen annoyed me too much.

Out of interest are you using a screen protector at all? If so which one? I've tried the Orzly (rainbow effect and dust) and also the Nilkin (full adhesion but big gaps) trying to find a happy medium really. I'm currently without a protector but using the Otterbox casing.

I'm not sure how you applied yours but I'm now into 3+ weeks with a Orzly and have had neither of the issues you mention, never did. I couldn't be more please with the Orzly protector especially at that price and still having a second one when the first eventually degrades. I used the application recommendation posted in that protectors thread. I personally could not tolerate a protector that reduced the visible screen for what ever reason.
Update: A spec of dust has gotten under the cover. Too bad as I still like the protector for its feel and protection but the spec of dust is dam annoying.

Try to find a company in Poland that provides "virtual" address in UK and after that delivers the goods in your country. I receive goods from UK in Bulgaria for only 1 EUR (when under 1 kg.) - it is very convinient.

Best of a bad bunch
This doesn't look very case compatible. Is anyone able to comment on this?
Very good tempered glass!
Sorry my english isnt perfect. Mine is come yesterday. I used a lot of others, but they where all disappointing in some way. (black turned into dark grey because of bad transparency and "sharp" edges) This one isnt case friendly I guess, because it protects the complete front.
+ true black colors
+ 2.5D (is quite cool for edge-smoothness)
+ easy to clean
- it isnt the thinnest glass
- makes bigger edges left/right
When you buy it make sure you buy the right one. It must be "Automatic Adsorption" version. They also sell another product where you get 2pcs of screen protectors (without automatic adsorption!).

I've got an original sandstone backcase and I think it will fit. Mine don't fit totally because it gets stretched by the skin I have on my oneplus. :/ But otherwise I think it will fit probably
Tip : amazon will give you the money back if you have problems with it and you mustn't send it back.
I just installed this tgsp and it's amazing. Very happy with it.
It's full glue. The main drawback is the bezel. But I'm used to it.

When you say the main drawback is the bezel, do you mean the bezel cuts off a small portion of the screen at the edges? Like if you were to boot into the bootloader, you can immediately see if the text is being cut off at the sides.

I usually leave mine on any phone that ships with it installed.
However, once it starts showing its age/peeling/dirt collects around the edges,I peel it off faster that a Band-Aid.
The most I go with afterwards is one of those liquid sealers.
However,I've skipped that (liquid sealer) on my Note 9 & its holding up just fine (GG5),still has a the same slick feeling as it did out of the box & not a scratch/ding to be found anywhere.
My 1st extensive usage of screen protectors was with the Motorola Photon & a Zagg orange rind that they marketed as a screen protector.
I kept it on for a long time (had it installed in-store @ Best Buy),finally removed it once it got dog-eared & haven't used a screen protector since, (that wasn't pre-installed from the factory).
Perhaps I'd use one if a was one of those people that seem to drop their phone on a daily basis,or,a work environment deemed it necessary, but, even then,I'd probably just use a $200-$300 phone & not worry about it.
I usually do get a full body kit (clear or matte) from Skinomi, but, just use the back protection & toss the rest.
I'm not even going that route this time, got an OEM OnePlus 6T Sandstone Case on the way & that's it:

I never use screen protectors but honestly the only reason i I took this one off so soon was I'm using the gesture navigation and that screen protector whenever you swiped up from the bottom you could feel the edge of it.
I also ordered the OnePlus Sandstone, that's the style case I run on all my phone's. I usually get the Spigen Thin Fit case.

I have 3 scratches on mine out of the box as well. I ended up just taking the screen protector off. As suggested the phone does have gorilla glass 6, I figure it'll be fine this way.
Haven't used one in years, no visible scratches over that period either. I'm an old man so my phones don't go through much of a struggle during their journey in my hands but I still cant help but feel the concern over screen protectors might not be fully warranted. In any event mine will be off along with the rest of the plastic when it comes out of the box.
When I opened the box my screen protector was in mint condition. I even told them at the store when I picked up to leave the box sealed and I'll set it up when I get to my house.

Mine was fine, although I've only kept it on because of how well it came. I really don't like the plastic feel and am currently looking for a tgsp.
mine was garbage, took it off to apply an xtremeguard tgsp against my own good judgement, and the tgsp was garbage too - didn't cover the whole screen. Now I'm SP-free and the screen feels much nicer!

Mine too, also from T-Mobile. I've only had it a week, so we'll see how it goes. Like many others I've found that it does collect a huge amount of dust!
Hi all,
Any suggestions for removing and avoiding micro scratches in S23 Ultra Cream color aluminium body especially in bottom area near ports, mic, speaker n around spen area. Currently using Spigen Hybrid transparent case which is well protecting 3 sides except bottom which is wide open for dust n debris to affect beautiful polish on aluminium body. Any help and expert suggestions n inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks.
I don't know exactly what to do, but I'll use a microfiber cloth everyday to avoid scratches, use it before going out with the phone and when going back home, that may help a bit
Mine red and black frame just lost a piece of black paint on the speaker grid, and now you can see the metal.
So pissed about that

removing i don't know, but avoiding micro scratches you can use one of these films, they have a transparent one.

Scratches in aluminum are permanent, no restoring the color.best you csn do is as mentioned get an aforementioned whole body TPU film.
Sometimes the film will fill in existing minor scratches and make them less noticeable.

Could you share a picture please? My brother is hell bent on getting that color.
S22 series, also S21 series(if I remember correctly) come with a factory fitted thin film(several pieces) protecting the aluminum frame atleast in my region. Sad to see 23 series not having it.

Thank you. Looks exactly like what happened to my Phantom Black S21 Ultra frame near the power button. The paint just chipped off on its own (no drops in 2 years) and exposed the aluminium underneath. This was one of the biggest reasons i went for a color option with a metallic sheen on the frame this time (cream). Thank you for posting the pic.

Yaa correct. This time no film of any kind was present anywhere on the phone.
Unfortunately frames from S21 especially S22 series is very gentle (eco and recycle materials). In my fold 2 frames look good to these days after 2 years. Only few scratches but after drop on the hard floor 2x. S20 my girlfirend too looking still good with no one drops etc.
Even in touch frames Fold and S20 is hard and feel durable compare to my previous S22 and now S23.
I saw opinions about appearing scratches in S22 just from "look device" ...
So thanks for it I choose S23U blue with classic silver frames and still have original foils around this .
yeah this is the same reason I went with the Lime color since it has the sliver frame, so any nicks or paint falling off wouldn't be as noticeable.
As suggested by fellow members bought a matte finish 3m skin today n applied. Looking pretty.

Plastic around edges are not protection film that you get. They are temporary plastic films meant to be removed and not kept on. It's so when device goes through inspection and test they won't get scratches on the frame.
My s23 ultra came with this thin transparent film along the frame on each sides like how my note 20 ultra did as well.

Those pieces of films do stick really well and do a good job at protecting the frame from getting minor scratches on day to day usage. Installing or removing a case do not lift or misplace the film either. If a lanyard is used with a case, it protects that portion of the frame too. I never removed the pieces in my one year of usage of S22U/21U as I never needed to.
