Mi unlock app is only available on windows (and I'm no longer able to find the old form to get the unlock code). Is it possible to unlock the bootloader while on linux (using fastboot like most other phones) ?

Grab virtualbox, should have one ready to start anytime.. you never know when you need it... Sometimes it is easier to just download and run that windows program than to searh for a workaround for days hehe

Yes but since it's using usb I don't think that virtualbox is reliable (had a lot of troubles rooting my previous phone using a virtualized windows and it finally worked using a real windows). Is there no more way to get the unlock code (to use it with fastboot oem unlock) ?

Unfortunately no.
When you use the right windows there is no problem, i always use it that way.. fastboot and adb work 100% fine but don't wait for MTP showing your phone
Just don't use bloated standard windows, no home or pro version, get ltsb... Not ltsc
I finally unlocked my bootloader using a windows device but another issue I found is that fastboot is not working using linux (working only on windows). The command just hang and never finish. Maybe a driver issue ?
Hi,
Here is a great way to do it. Maybe it will help next time!

Hi
My original concern is too get rid of the android software originally put on my htc wildfire by my phone operator. Important precision: I have a mac computer.
For this i figured out i had to unroot the phone or unlock the bootloader (am I right? My overall android level is not good).
So I tried unrevoked, which said that my "hardware is too new". Then I tried to unlock my bootloader following the instructions on htcdev (and other similar forum topics) but I got an error message "Command error" when I type "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot oem get_identifier_token", and nothing happens.
I then noticed that htc says I might have to update my hboot (I currently have 1.02.0002), but I have no idea how.
I tried any other stuff found on forums such as factory reset (*sigh*), changing usb cable, changing usb port, trying from another computer (still a mac), etc...
I saw threads such as "use a gold card", but it seems complicated and I don't have a pc anyway.
Well, I've been wandering in the web for days, I'd be happy if someone had an idea!
Also I don't know if this is the right forum, but I'm not allowed to post elsewhere because I'm a new member.
I would reccommend that you borrow a Windows machine as it is much easier to do on. By the way do you have fastboot installed on your Mac.

Ok thanks. Yes I have fastboot. So there's no easy way out on a mac.
Do you confirm i have to root or unlock hboot?
Well you can do it on a Mac and even I do everything on a Mac but if you are new to the subject it is better to use windows.

Hello, Thank you for this proposal.
For now I have no idea of how to save the bootloader or the recovery.
But i think it was blocked because i have a bootloader locked and no recovery.
The only way seems to be a full write of the memory with the meizu tools.
I have test with a android rom but they don't work "token sign failed".
If you can upload the bootloader.img and the recovery.img, i this, you can save my phone

I have the exact same problem. And that 16 there in the screenshot gets incremented on every subsequent call to
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
until it reaches 256 or something, at which point the device shuts down.
Initially in fastboot mode my device would say that the bootloader is unlocked, so it was not like that from the start. But I locked it by mistake (lets say ) while trying to figure out how to make ubuntu-device-flash work (by shooting in the dark, mostly, rather than reading). Had no idea it will not let me unlock it after that.
Also before that there were some
Code:
fastboot flash all
so basically there is no OS no recovery, no nothing. Just barely getting the fastboot mode - otherwise totally useless.
Really looking forward for ideas
Hi,
how can I unlock my RN3 SD bootloader using Linux alone?
I have tried MiFlashUnlock via wine, but it doesn't see my phone.
I have tools adb and fastboot installed on my Fedora an I can communicate with phone using this tools.
you just cant, MiUnlockTools only works at windows, Someone succeded unlock using Gentoo at xiaomi forums. Maybe you could try using VM. Linux user too here.
Yes I know that. But if someone is ably to debug (sniff) how fasboot is used by MiUnlockTools, then we can do the same on Linux.
you could try unofficial unlock, it can be used with fastboot though i dont know the difference
Hello everyone,
I recently got the Realme 7 5G and I'm looking for a way to root or unlock the bootloader. I've tried the post here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/realme-7-5g-eu-version-guide-for-unlock-bootloader.4272495/
But it doesn't work now.
Phone info:
Realme 7 5g
Realme UI 2.0
Android 11
800U 8GB ram
Model: RMX2111
AUSTRALIAN VARIANT
If there is a way please let me know, im sure tons of people will appreciate it aswell!
Maybe if you would tell us what you mean by "it doesn't work" we can be more helpful.
How far did you get in the process? What error messages do you get?

I was doing the steps to get the unlocker working, changing mac, running the oppo tool and i tried to change the region but the code just didnt work
. Also is it impossible to get fastboot on the realme 7 5g? I tried 'adb reboot bootloader' and it just didnt work.

How old is the guide? Pretty sure I read somewhere that OPPO did some patching that stopped a certain tool from working.

I guess they did, I just don't get why realme restricts the unlock tool to india.

There is a way around it. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I'll try and scrape around my history tomorrow to try and find what I'm talking about. Feel free to do some digging of your own, of course. No guarantees that it'll fix the issue, however, so be wary of that.

If you do have a method, this will undoubtedly help a lot of people (including me)!
I did it few weeks ago on Android 10 Realme 7 5G and it worked smoothly.
After I got the OK in the right window of Sec5 tool the code worked for me. If I wanted to run the code again though, I had to use Sec5 again.
Maybe retry the Sec5? Are you running Android 10 or 11 on your Realme?
'adb reboot bootloader' doesn't work, the idea of the whole process is to be able to boot into the bootloader (which is enabled by "in-depth testing app") where you can unlock the bootloader and subsequently boot into bootloader any time you want to.

Oh, I'm running Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11). Maybe they patched it in the update?
Also, I've run Sec5 multiple times, it says 'ok' and when I put the code in, it just won't do it. Really frustrating how realme locked the in-depth test to India phones only.
hi,
i am trying to unlock the bootloader for my amzfit Stratos I am using the tool all in one and it asks me to put an unlock code but the site that it is referring me to is not working and the telegram bot is also not working do you know any other method that will work for me?
thanks in advance
Use newest version of all in one tool.
hi thanks for the reply, when i am using the new version it is not responding at all only if i am using the older version but then i am getting the problem i have described...
For me it is working (win7 64bit, all drivers [adb&fastboot] correctly installed). So I guess you should give away some more informations to bring us away from the scrying ball experience.
older version does not unlock offline.
make sure that you have the drivers installed on your PC with the watch in fastboot.
if it doesn't work on your PC, use a different one.
