Disappointing Bug in 4Gb Variant #Asus Max Pro M1Camera Developer Mode. Hardware issue or .337 update issue?
#Asus team please notice and fix.
Which version of Max Pro M1 you guys are using? Mine is 4gb variant. I noticed a very disappointing problem in camera. First of all camera quality is below average. But then a camera developer mode is made available for Pro shooting. Now there is a bug in that restricting it's shutter speed.
There is a camera developer option hidden. My friends 3gb and 6gb models are getting long shutter speed of 10 seconds for fantastic night car tail light photos. But it is noticed that my 4Gb Version of Max Pro M1 is having restricted shutter slow shutter speed. After clicking red eye reduction for several times developer option is enabled. But in user settings of manual exposure the slowest shutter speed is only 1/3 sec (340miliseconds) whereas 3Gb and 6Gb variants are having more than 10seconds (10000 milliseconds) shutter speed. Interestingly the ISO range also 100-1550 whereas in other two variants it is 100-1600. I could not understand if my device is faulty or all 4Gb variant having same issue or it is due to the November 15th new update(.337)? Does your variant having same issue. Please throw some light. I have send screenshots of camera developers option->Manual Exposure>user settings of my 4Gb variant and a 3Gb variant if you like to compare.
Please #ASUS do something for getting manual control in the camera , professional mode and long shutter speeds. At least fix this bug so that I can use slower shutter speed in camera developers option. Please let us know if the camera optics or hardware is not supporting slower shutter speeds.

Dose anyone know why shutter speed has been affected by the amount of light received in the camera . I have found that the shutter speed varies dramatically from 17 to 1/40000s and with iso set to 200 only!
Is this related to galaxy s2 firmware or it's hardware limitations or just physics fact
Hi. I'm looking for a phone with the following features in the camera:
1. Optical Image Stabilisation
2. Burst mode and very quick in-between shots/shot-to-shot times (zero lag)
3. Tapping on screen when taking 1080p video
4. Full stereo recording
5. Wide aspect ratio in photos
6. Low noise/artefacts when zoom
7. Fairly good low-light capability
A power-saving option in the Settings and a more than 2 days standby time. Better optimised OS.
And it must be a 4G-LTE, quad-core phone with 2GB RAM.
I'm thinking of a Nexus 5, Xperia Z, Moto X, HTC One.
Any advice please?

Seriously you didn't think of the xperia z1 or z2 20.7 mega pixel camera. Battery saving stamina mode. 2gb ram 1080p video display pretty good phone.... Be careful which version you get because they have versions for different GSM bands.
I have an Xperia SP and i found the battery life to be pretty good for the tasks and routines i do everyday. It seems that Sony has properly optimised the OS and battery life on their phones.
But the biggest issue of my Xperia SP was the camera. Zoom is atrocious and near abysmal with lots of noise and artefacts. Burst mode and shot-to-shots/in-between shots was non-existent. Lag was a mile wide.
Is the Z1 camera zoom unlike the SP's?
Hello,
As the title says i need help choosing (or getting) the best camera mod available up to date.
The device is a rooted Note 4 running on Omega Rom android version 4.4.4 (yes and i`m not changing it!)
It has the default Samsung camera app.. the image quality is really awful, horrible compared to my 200 year old iphone5..
I am using the optimum camera settings HDR and 16mp and the daylight photos are OK-ish.. but once the sun goes down i no longer have a camera, meaning at night the camera is just awful!
Also the colors seem quite saturated/yellowish generally the photos quality is really pour, i do believe that with a mod it can be better..
What i need is a camera mod that will shoot photos as close to the actual colors as possible, best image quality is what i`m after.
I dont really care about video recording honestly i`m fine with 1024 on video, all im after is image quality!
EDIT:
The build in samsung camera app/mod lacks many camera app features that my grandma`s phone has, im talking about features like macro, focus, image quality settings and more!
There must be a mod out there that enables those features?
Please help me get a better image quality the summer already passed
Thank you!
You won't get any better it's to do with the cameras hardware not software. Have you tried increasing the exposure and turn the ISO up to something like 800 or whatever the highest ISO value is? You will still get grainy/noisy images with a higher ISO but should be a brighter image. Iphones while I'll never go back to one, have got pretty good cameras for low light situations but if you really want to take pictures in low light then you should consider buying the S7, S7 edge or the note 7 when it's released.
Thanks for the info
I did expect more from the camera of the note 4..
The max ISO is 800 but the best image quality in my opinion is with the lowest ISO setting which is 100.
Overall I'm super happy with the phone in general.. the note 7 did not convince me im not gona commit to swap it, meaning that I'm gonna stock around with no camera for a while
Hardware wise the camera is decent, I'm sure that with an open mod it should take better shots, at least in day light..
Thanks for the reply ☺
Can someone test this out? Snapdragon can record 4k 60 in pro mode with a set ISO and any shutter above 1/60 but if you drop the shutter below 60 it will go to 30fps. That makes sense and is reasonable. However on my Exynos S9 I cant get it to record 4k 60 at all if I have a set ISO and shutter speed. I can have any shutter speed and no matter what it records 30fps. In auto mode it records 4k 60 fine. Anyone else seeing this?
Can someone please test this for me? IDK if its just my phone or if its a common thing.
I talked to Samsung international and they confirmed the exynos S9 and S9+ cannot do 4k 60 in pro mode. They say its a limitation of the CPU. Well thats great. Exynos is supposed to be super great right? I dont know how much I believe them so if anyone else with an exynos wants to test and confirm this limitation please let me know.
There! Something just happened! Did you take a picture of it? Rate this thread to express how fast the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 can go from "zero to picture". A higher rating indicates that launching the camera app and taking a photo is extremely fast such that you never miss an important moment, like when your cat attacks the couch again.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Extremely slow, both with the app on the original ROM and the cam2 one on Resurrection.
