Lineage 15.1 signed build for Yureka | Yureka+
Build type : UNOFFICIAL
Disclaimer : ROMs are built for development purpose only. Use at your own risk.
This ROM completely compiled on lineage source code and with minimum workarounds for a successful build.
No extra features are added. ROM is loaded with default lineage apps and working smooth. I built the ROM in enforcing mode because I personally care about its security than its features. This ROM supports from 1.6 GB to 2.5 GB system partition and does not support default partition. This ROM available on both test-key and release key. Test-key version of ROM is signed with public keys and it is free to download. Both test-key and release key ROMs have common features but release key ROMs have enhanced security .
1. ROM-Signed test key
Note : Most of the UNOFFICIAL ROMs built by developers for yureka are signed with test-keys (public keys) . For testing ROM features and smoothness, test-keys is not an issue but release key signed builds are always preferred when ROM is used as daily driver.
[ROM][1.6GB] Lineage-15.1 Download
Features
* With all lineage features untouched including the kernel.
* Enforcing selinux
* Crystal clear sound
* Certified device status under google play
* Smooth ROM experience
Instruction : Only clean flash is recommended.
Feel the difference
2. ROM-Signed release key ( Donate Version )
About release keys
The Android tree includes test-keys. Building an Android OS image using make will sign all .apk files using the test-keys. Since the test-keys are publicly known, anybody can sign their own .apk files with the same keys, which may allow them to replace or hijack system apps built into your OS image. For this reason it is critical to sign any publicly released or deployed Android OS image with a special set of release-keys. Lineage official ROMs are always signed builds. Since lineage drop support for YU Yureka, I prefer to build unofficial signed ROMs and will release my builds on xda android development .
Note : Nowadays some apps will work only on ROMs signed with release keys .
Features
* With all lineage features untouched including the kernel.
* ROM is signed with release keys .
* Enforcing selinux
* Crystal clear sound
* Root not needed.
* Secure than public test keys release
* All payment apps work with valid device certification and secure at payment gateway.
* Certified device status under google play
* Smooth ROM experience

This is build is very close to official build. Will try to add volte if official source code of lineage support. Faced space constrains on default partition and took lot of time in redefining the device tree to rectify build errors ( this might be the reason that lineage has dropped support for yureka ) If time permits will try to add volte:good:

How to check volte is working in my phone..?

This guy won't let Yureka die, Thanks. @[email protected] did you remove aosp webview from ROM?
What about keeping the build untouched and than move the webview apk to internal storage with symlinks with zip script by TWRP (the zip is already available) this way system thinks apk is still in /system/apps or /system/priv-apps. this way we can direcly sign in given option to restore the data at first boot.

Good solution.:good: yes the fix zip removes webview and some system apps. And also fixes the test keys issue.
Heard about it. Post that link here. It will be helpful for those who are using yureka on default partition.

Yes lineage builds recovery with the build. But for yureka default partition fails to flash recovery.img due its file size. Its about 26mb.! So that is the reason for not uploading the recovery and also fastboot images. Will try to upload if possible with reduced size.
devvshukla said:
OK can you PM me the recovery because I have extended partition on yureka. I need it because using TWRP is incompatible factory reset option of lineage, it boots to TWRP and nothing happens after that.

lineage 15.1 recovery :

It fails to boot on default partition due to its size. I am not sure about 2.5 gb partition. If it fails , Phone hangs at YU logo screen with "# recocery message" and fails to boot. Solution: you have to reflash any working recovery (twrp) in fastboot mode to boot into ROM again. Tested on my phone. Use at your own risk:good:.
Report back if it works on extended partition:good:

It works on 2.5 gb system partition with recovery partition 30 mb.
Even this recovery flashed on 2.5 gb system. It takes it as only 1.2 gb. So better use twrp for flashing roms and data resets. :good:

Are you using volte modem.? or different baseband version. Then this rom cannot flashed over volte modem. volte modem may cause this error.
To solve twrp error . Delete the following lines starting with assert from updater-script.updater script found in zip META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script. Winrar and notepad++ application can do this. You would need a pc or laptop to do this.
"assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "YUREKA" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "YUREKA" || abort("E3004: This package is for device: YUREKA; this device is " + getprop("ro.product.device") + ".")

assert(cm.verify_trustzone("TZ.BF.3.0.R2-00034") == "1"); "

Yey. I tested it for flash RR N latest build, flash CAF-AOSP 64-bit by Pirej, backup and restore RR rom. Everything working fine. Thanks for your great job. :good:
I tested it to flash aosp caf 64 and gapps 64. Backup and restore working too. Delete any file system directly from twrp's file manager worked. No any major/minor bug here. I think its ready for official sir.
DevDB shows ROM for the Redmi 2
Should be Tool/Utility
What's new in this twrp I think twrp custom recovery is already developed by unofficial members for redmi 2/prime users

@nicknitewolf
Saw this and wow, thanks for u before, now we got official TWRP
But hope u do for wt86047 too, cause we have 2 device, for china device and global device
And how about we use ro.product.device & ro.build.product? all ur TWRP based on wt88047, and we cant flash miui kitkat rom (HM2014811) unless you just make this twrp for custom rom
just an example in default.prop, for global
ro.product.device=HM2014811
ro.build.product=wt88047
and for china
ro.product.device=HM2014813
ro.build.product=wt86047
Just need that, so we can flash both custom rom and miui rom
A suggestion, hope u make that too for help ppl who use china device, thanks or u cant, depends on u haha
will this work on hm2014813 (wt86047) version?
3.1.0 is slow when compared to 3.0.1-0
Wiping system & cache takes a lot of time in 3.1.0 version.
Restoring backup also take extra time in this version. (Around 100 secs extra)
When I restored my MIUI backup in 3.0.1 recovery, it took around 536 secs.
This time (3.1.0), it took around 636 secs.
Otherwise it's working fine!
Please have a look into this issue.
by any chance can you add how to flash twrp in this thread? thanks in advance!
edit: oh nvm i found it on the link
keep up the good work
The problem comes with error 7 while cleaning stock Rom. My current recovery can flash stock Rom so I am gonna stick to old version of twrp. I changed once I was stucked so I guess I can try this
Tanks bro,, Make official TWRP..
The font named DroidSansFallback.ttf(In twrp 3.1.0,I don't konw it is or isn't this name in twrp 3.1.1) has some problems.Watching the pictures,can you understand something?You can use this font instead of it,then this twrp will be better。https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B611azUysY-wRlh4YXZGRXBaSHM/view?usp=drivesdk (MyEnglish isn't good,sorry)

Technically that wouldn't make sense since looking at the flashing script of the latest MIUI Rom downloaded from en.miui.com
Code:
get_device_compatible("wt88047") == "OK" || abort("This package is for \"wt88047\" devices; this is a \"" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "\".");

Platform Tools (adb/fastboot):

Installation:
Make sure your bootloader is unlocked
Download the recovery image from above
Reboot into fastboot
Run this command (Change the .img to whatever the name of file is you downloaded):
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.5.0_9-0-x2.img
Once it is flashed, please force a reboot to recovery by holding down the Power and Volume Up buttons at the same time until the phone reboots and you see the LeEco logo and the word "recovery" underneath it. (This is because if you allow normal boot after flashing TWRP and you are using EUI ROM and your phone reboots to EUI ROM? It will overwrite recovery with stock EUI ROM recovery. Forcing a reboot from bootloader to recovery prevents this issue)
Upgrade instructions
Download desired TWRP version
Reboot to recovery
Select Install
tap on "install image" and select the TWRP.img you downloaded from step one
select the recovery partition and install the TWRP.img to it
Reboot to recovery and confirm that the updated TWRP image is installed
For the TEST builds of TWRP? Please let me know if this works. If so? I will submit it to Gerrit for official updates.

Attempted fixes for encryption
unfortunately it seems the pulldecryptfiles.sh script doesn't always work and on some newer versions of EUI ROM can even fail to work at all... Importing the vendor/lib64 encryption files directly into the device tree for TWRP fixes this issue.
vendor/lib64 files pulled from 1512699115_LE_X2_X820-CN-FN-FEXCNFN5902812081S-5.9.028S
*** Please note, decryption fix isn't 100%!!! I think I need to use the Indian 5.8.019s decryption files as decryption fails when testing from indian 5.8.019s to custom Oreo ROM hmm... ***
Jan212018
Switched decryption to blobs from Indian EUI ROM 5.8.019s
unfortunately it seems the pulldecryptfiles.sh script doesn't always work and on some newer versions of EUI ROM can even fail to work at all... Importing the vendor/lib64 encryption files directly into the device tree for TWRP fixes this issue.
crypto files pulled from LE_X2_X820-OS-OP-FGXOSOP5801910121S-5.8.019S (Indian 5.8.019s) because it has encryption and it's forced encryption.
It seems Chinese EUI ROM doesn't have encryption capabilities only Indian EUI ROM which could be why switching from Indian EUI ROM to a custom ROM causes decryption to fail.

Finally TWRP accepts my pattern to decrypt partition!! Thanks
Edit: spoke too soon. It only works sometimes. Worked the first time. Has now failed a few times. Just worked again now. Anybody know what the issues might be here?

[ROM][7.1.2][Stock kernel version] LineageOS 14.1 for Yureka | Yureka+[YU5510/AO5510]
Build type : UNOFFICIALDisclaimer : ROMs are built for development purpose only. Use at your own risk.
This ROM completely compiled on lineage source code and contains lineage kernel 3.10.49. ROM contains some additional features which are not available on official builds of lineage for Yureka / Yureka+. ROM is loaded with default lineage apps and working smooth. No need to flash volte modem separately in this ROM. Whether using modem ( volte / non- volte) VoLTE is working for jio, airtel and for some LTE networks. This ROM is available on both test-key and release key. Test-key version of ROM is signed with public keys and it is free to download. Both test-key and release key ROMs have common features but release key ROMs have enhanced security and apps which requires release key build wont work on test key build .
1. Lineage VoLTE ROM build-test keys
Note : Most of the UNOFFICIAL ROMs built by developers for yureka are signed with test-keys (public keys) . For testing ROM features and smoothness, test-keys is not an issue but release key signed builds are always preferred when ROM is used as daily driver.
1. [VoLTE] lineage-14.1 Nougat ROM
Features
* With all lineage features untouched including the kernel.
* Enforcing selinux and updated sepolicy.
* VoLTE and ambient display features.
* Crystal clear sound
* Better battery backup and stable

* Smooth ROM experience
Instruction
Download Gapps
Copy the ROM along with downloaded gapps package to sdcard and flash through twrp.

* Enforcing selinux and updated sepolicy.
* VoLTE and ambient display features.
* Crystal clear sound.
* Better battery backup and stable
* Root not needed.
* Secure than public test keys release
* All payment apps work with valid device certification and secure at payment gateway.

Volte is not supported on this rom. I was on crdroid nougat with volte modem. I wiped data and sytem and try to install this rom. I got band mismatch error like lineage builds. That is the only reason we are not using stable lineage because of volte.
It will be best for us Rakesh if u make it volte optmised rom.

Volte is nice feature:good: but official source code of lineage does not support volte. i am just fresher in ROM building and will try to add volte and post it here if am successful with the build.
For twrp error: If you are flashing with volte modem delete the lines starting with "assert" in the updater- script and rebuilt the zip before flashing. rar and notepad++ software can do this. Updater script found in META-INF folder of zip. Then flashing works.Volte modem detected in this build but not sure about volte..:good:

The ROM is great.
But now I am getting random reboots
Any solution?
Edit : Got Automatically fixed. No idea why
Hoping I will get a reply this time.
Some of the apps force stop automatically like Gmail, Discord, Clash of clans, Zomato etc.
Is there any fix? I have tried clearing cache but the apps still crash

I had replied to previous thread. I have asked about ROM ?
Ok, those apps crash because the ROM u r using may be signed with test keys or u have rooted ur phone.!
Next is the available of free space in RAM. ! What ROM u r using now.?

Thank You for replying, No idea why I didn't get a reply even though I regularly checked this thread.
I am using this ROM. Yes, I have rooted my phone. I don't do any kind of intensive work on the phone. Neither I use applications which keep on running in the background and consume the RAM. So I guess I can say that around 800MB memory is free most of the time. But the apps still crash. Even though suspected that it might be because of insufficient storage, I later realised that 40% of the internal memory is free (Around 4-5GB) which I guess is enough for most applications. So I don't think so it is due to insufficient memory.
I guess the problem is related to "signed with test keys" which you are talking about.

I dont have pc to compile ROM. I borrow laptop from my brother to compile rom on his leisure time. So i cant say estimated time of building rom. In the meantime i will work on device trees. Next build of all roms (N/O/P) will have VoLTE as primary feature.
Mostly , I also try to avoid root. Only for the no way situation i go for root.

Just copy the zip to pc or laptop. Use winrar and extract update script from metainf/com/google/android/update-script. Edit the file using notepad++. Delete all lines starting with "assert" and save it. Replace the modified script to the same folder of your zip using winrar with compression option "store". Hence issue solved..now you can tranfer the zip to device and flash through twrp.
I will delete those lines by default during next build. Some yureka user facing this issue:good:

For brightness adjust settings on statusbar system UI. Keep it in full scale
I think TV cast uses widewine security level. It works only on signed builds. Have you tried Tv cast on my non volte signed oreo rom.?
If possible check if it works and report back:good:

I tried almost all Pie roms. I face this problem on this rom only. I did not try decreasing brightness from the status bar but tried changing %age and slide bar.
TV cast works on all Oreo roms but not on any of the Pie roms. I do not use any apps for TV cast, Just connect TV through cast from settings.

Will look into this issue. My source is different from current pie ROMs and needs some update.
If possible Take logcat of your error. For logcat, Just connect your device to usb with adb root and adb debuging enabled ( after installing only ROM+ bluetooth patch pack ) in your pc. Dont flash security or magisk patch. Install adb drivers in your pc and take logcat. Type "adb logcat -d > logcat.txt" in adb command window. Now you see logs report moving on command window. Now you have to open cast from settings. Wait few sec with cast open . Your error log got saved in txt file. Send that txt file here or to some other developer:good:

Frequently asked questions.
Q : I get error 255/7 while flashing from recovery
A : Flash using correct TWRP.
Q : How do I flash the rom?
A : No rocket science Just wipe /system /cache /dalvik's cache & internal storage from twrp, Then simply flash the rom package and reboot.
Q : Can I dirty flash the next build?
A : If you are upgrading from previous builds of this rom to the current builds then O'course you can dirty flash by just flashing the new rom package , gapps package and wiping both the cache partition however i advice you to refrain from doing dirty flash. Follow the instructions if posted after a build drop and flash the package accordingly if instructions explicitly mention about clean flashing.
Q : Where do I get compatible gapps?
A :.As of now our device system partition is small so mind the gapps work, incase you want to use opengapps go through the link
Q : Is root access included in this Rom?
A : No it is not. Some testers have had success with Magisk though.
Q : Can I flash ABC mod? Does the ROM support it?
A : Yeah sure, but I will not support you. And no, the ROM probably does not support it.
Q : Is VOLTE supported ?
A : No. JIO 4G app works as of now.
Q : Is the ROM suited for daily usage ?
A : Yes, Looks like all basic daily usage stuff is functional.
Q : WHEN UPDATE?? GIB UPDATE PL0X.
A : I only post updates when there's a decent list of changes. I'm a college student and there's only so much I can do. Please do not spam my PM regarding this.
I will not respond to any messages demanding ETAs.
