Looking for early-console access for poco F1 - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Hello,
For some experimentation with custom kernels, I was trying to find some mechanism to get early console on the Poco F1 (like UART over headphones or something similar), but probably my Google-Foo wasn't too good. Anyone here with experience with such a device?
Ultimate idea is to be able to boot mainline kernels (or close to mainline) on the phone
Thanks in advance,
Sumit.

I am in need of it too. But not able to find any schematics related to Poco F1. I checked schematics for Redmi Note 4(mido) online and it was using headphone jack for UART. I wonder if its the same too. Guys any idea on how to find it?

Is it possible to Port Ubuntu Touch to Redmi Note 2?

I'm more curious than anything else, but after playing with my friends Meizu MX4 Ubuntu, I searched to see if Xiaomi had done anything similar. I couldn't find any results.
Would a port to the Redmi Note 2 be possible, and has anyone tried/is anyone working on a port for it?
It's a beautiful looking OS, but I don't know much else about it. I was only playing with it for about 5 minutes.
Ubuntu touch uses its own kernel... It's not possible to port it until xiaomi releases source code...
unfortunately, no

Poco F1 vs Pocophone F1

Hello all!
What are the difference between the Pocophone F1 (=global) and the Poco F1 (=India).
I know that the 8GB can only be found in India and since I am planning to spend some holidays there, I was thinking to buy the Poco F1 there. However, I read that this version comes with many bloats and other ad/ pop up. Can I get rid of it? Can I install a clean version without the malware?
I am using the One plus one for almost 4 years now. Quite happy with it but battery life isn't as good as it used to be.
Thanks all for replying
you can flash global rom on poco.
Any other comments?
Poco and Pocophone are two different names
That's the difference
You can deblot poco via adb command ( search xda threads...very easy). Make sure that you are buying a model made after august and if possible buy the carbon fiber back model. For further add blocking you can use either blockada ( free) or adguard, both are pretty good.
Which poco to buy.
For not the store said that the global version has a weaker charger than indian also a youtuber said global one can't charger fast like indian while other indian report's the screen sensetive issue with bleeding in poco f1(indian version)but global one(pocophone f1)dont have such issue also they say that the global has better camera than poco f1 so,the store told me that ican return the phone for global one but its box was opened but the device has never started while the majority of poco profuct in store there is indian,i dunno and lost, which one i should buy,iam planning to have this phone for long time assuring that ican run anygame with good battery for the next 2 or three years, plz help me choosing the best!?

Xiaomi MI PAD 4 - which custom ROM for a newb (priorities: reliable, low maintenance)

I am about to purchase a Xiaomi MI PAD 4 - 3GB RAM, 32GB, MicroSD, 1920x1080 Tablet. My main goal to start is to root the device and see if I can load a few .apk on it. (Some medical antibiotic apps, if that matters).
I'd like to load a Custom ROM on it as well. I'd prefer something that would be reliable and low maintenance as a first ROM. I'd consider jumping to something more customizable later. I just want it to run first.
I've read a bit and have 3 Custom ROMS in mind that seem to fit my criteria (Lineage OS, Evolution X, or Havoc). Any opinions which would be the easiest for a newb like me ?
All help appreciated.
I'm also trying to learn how to Root this device and install a custom ROM. If anyone has a link to a good guide that would help me greatly. Newb friendly is a bonus.
The most simple rom I would recommend is Pixel Experience, which I port for Mi Pad myself:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-pad-4/development/rom-pixel-experience-t4095793
Another good choice would be LineageOS by @S-trace, it's similar to Pixel Experience but closer to AOSP rather than a Pixel:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-pad-4/development/rom-lineageos-17-0-t3989187
For rooting: You will have to go through the OEM unlock procedure which means you need to sign up for a Mi Account and then request unlocking. This may take anywhere from 72hours to a few weeks AND when you unlock the bootloader it wipes everything - so be aware that you will lose everything.
During the unlocking process you need a windows machine and the Xiaomi unlocking software, and almost all my Xiaomi devices have been very finnicky about what USB cables are used - best advice on this is use the supplied cable in a USB2.0 port.
(If you need to use Google Play before you unlock and you have the Chinese ROM, you can use the Google Services installer).
The Xiaomi Global and Xiaomi.EU Roms are actually not too bad, although now outdated. Am also considering switching ROM very soon.
In case you are wondering, the MIUI12 (which the MiPad 4 may or may not be getting officially) has not left me very impressed on my other devices primarily as it feels rather counter-intuitive to use.
(Lineage OS, Evolution X, or Havoc)
I have never tried Evolution, but Havoc is discontinued and do not waste time on it. I used it a moment. It is full of options, but nothing will be fixed. Good to know who is an author of it, because he prepares different roms and discontinue all. Floco 3 will be good (I used mordiford) but I suggest LOS 17.1 from S-trace. I am using it and it is better than 16. Please do not use 17.0 from author of Havoc because of standard problem.

Poco F1 NV Memory Adresses for LTE

I have spent hours searching for the answers and cant find any so im reaching out incase anybody here knows where i can find them
what are the nv memory addresses for unlocking LTE bands on the poco f1? typically most androids store them in 6828 and 6829, but xiaomi seems to have shifted their memory around to make it harder for users to find. even with a custom kernel installed (no gravity/corvus is my build rn), those addresses are inactive

Question Anyone has flashed pixel experience for Realme GT 5G

As mentioned in subject, anyone has done this? Is everything working normally?
I think it's not possible right now.

Saw this on youtube:
I was thinking about buying GT, but finally decided to buy a redmi K40 instead because it has more roms to be flashed.

DSU sideloaded. Not a proper ROM. You'll go to realme ui when you restart.
It's said that the material and internal layout of realme is even better than Xiaomi, from my brother in law who owns a small mobile repair workshop, I'd like to give realme a try but I saw there's merely no custom roms then ended up with buying a redmi K40 12+256g as a backup phone since I need some phone to use when repairing my iPhone's screen (the glass only) was broken, it's only around 1800CNY less than 300 USD, worth a try. Current android phone is HTC U11 still working fine with pixel experience, so I would like to find some phone with more custom roms.
Never flashed the DSU before.
