my card in contacts - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

This is my first android phone for SOME time and for the life of me I can't figure out how to link my contact card with the 'my card' section at the top of contacts
I'm logged in with an uptodate google account which all seems ok and all updated to 146.
Please help me figure this out?
Its a great bit of kit btw and I'm an apple fanboy!

As far as I know there is no way to use a regular existing card for the My Card feature.
To make matters worse you can also not use an existing card or My Card for you Emergency Info. So you end up entering your own details in 3 places.
(Fortunately your emergency contacts do use the regular cards.)

[Q] Dumb LG PC suit!! Please help me

Hi all,
I just bought lg500 and I Love it!
My problem is, I can`t sync any of my mobiles`s contact with PC, when I choose, sync in pc suit, it cloeses unexpectedly.
I have a huge contact list on my other Black and white mobile, which I will prefer more to type on pc first and then sync, rather than typing it on touchscreen.
Can somebody help me?
You have two O1s? Just export a .vcf files from the contact's import/export menu.
There are many people complaining about the LG PCSuite, including me. I stopped using it the very first day. Instead, I would recommend MyPhoneExplorer, a free app that I used for many years for my Sony Ericsson devices and now supports Android phones. You will also need a client app from the Market to connect with the PC. It has the exact same name.
!
Hey I just found out how to do that! THANKSS VERY MUCH for your responses tough!, I am sharing that with all of you in case if you find it useful
So, what I did is,
I just inserted my SIM card in old mobile, copied all contacts From phone to SIM,
then,
I inserted that SIM in O1, and copied those contacts from SIM to Phone. And thats all!

[Q] iPhone convert to Android

I'm sure this has been captured somewhere in the forums, but my futile searches didn't yield the results I was looking for.
I ordered the Galaxy S3 which should be on my doorstep this afternoon. I've been using iPhones since the 3G and this will be my first Android device. As such, I want to make sure I get most of the data off of my iPhone and onto my new Galaxy. Is there an app or easy means of transferring the following:
- Contacts
- Calendar
- Text Messages
- Pictures
For anyone else that has changed over from the iPhone, is there anything else I should be aware of in this process? Much appreciated! :good:
I switched awhile ago. I always had my contacts and calendar synced with Google so that makes that part very easy.
Im sure there is an easier way for pics then the way i did it..but I just copied the pics off my iphone to a folder on my desktop and then just copied them to my galaxy
Please search in the future.. But here you go.

I would suggest centering everything around a google account. If you can use iTunes to export your contacts and calendar to .csv or another standard format, you can import this list into the gmail account that you will be using for your GS3 - then just use the same account to log into the phone, sync, and voila. If you go to Gmail-Contacts-More-Import you should get a msg like this:
We support importing CSV files from Outlook, Outlook Express, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, Eudora and some other apps. We also support importing vCard from apps like Apple Address Book.

Without an sd card or similar removable media for the iPhone, I would go with cloud storage (Dropbox, box.net, Google Drive) for the upload/download of your pictures or other media. Good luck and welcome to Android! :highfive:

I saw that article the other day - kind of spurred on this question actually. My only issue with that utility is that is utilizes iTunes. I have despised iTunes since my original iPhone 3G. I ONLY used it when it was completely and totally necessary...
Presently, I have most of my stuff backed up to iCloud so I wonder if there is any other kind of solution that can pull my data off of that?

What do you have saved on iCloud? You can extract all your contacts off of the iCould address book and import it to google.

[Q] Save contact to SimCard

yeah, i know there are many threads about this topic, below is some of things need clarification and some questions
and just recently paid my attention on this "Contacts" thinggy, and realise that i have tons of duplicate in my Gmail (why the fack its synced to Gmail?)
need clarification:
-so, does newer devices cant save contact directly to SIM?
-we can only use "Export to storage", but that is in vcf (or some format)
-in order to copy all contact from phone to SIM, we must use an app in Playstore (how useful is this app anyway?)
-the contacts in SIM need to be exported to phone
question:
-why do you all think that theres no "Export to SIM" support?
-if i save a contact, does it automatically saved in phone? does it sync to elsewhere? (i dont like this sync-y thinggy)
-what is "phone only, unsynced", does it referred to the phone memory and if i saved a contact it will be in phone?
yes, im asking on how to configure about saving a contact and its relevant question
and sorry if some part is messed up, i got big event next week and kinda nervous about it
Device : GT-i9100G , CM 11 Nightly 20140520
thanks

Help With Contacts

I have searched and cannot find an answer to this.
How do I create a contact card (either Vcard or CSV) for my own information. What I want to be able to do is NFC transfer my information whenever someone wants my business card or my phone number. I know I can create an NFC tag for this and adhere it to the back of a business card- but if I can do it on a tag, I should be able to create a transferable vcard on my phone for the same purpose.
Any ideas?
p.s. I do not want to create new contacts with my own information- my contact info is already stored on my G+ profile and there should be a way to create a "ME" card like we used to be able to do with older Android versions.

Who can edit and repack the best (discontinued) loyalty card app ever? Beep 'n Go

Hi All,
For a while now, the best loyalty card app ever Beep 'n go has been discontinued since 2016. The app still works kindalike but you can't store your cards in the cloud and you have to skip the login page time after time. logging in itself doesn't work anymore as there is no server connection anymore. would it be possible to?
1) Skip the login page upon opening and go directly to your locally stored cards
2) add some sort of cloud backup option? (perhaps using the standard login page that allows you to log in with google)
Attached the last APK. File
It would be awesome if someone could bring some new life into this app.
