Hey all!
I bought the Mi Router 3C yesterday. I have a 100Mbps connection at my home. The Mi specifications say that it's a 2.4Ghz x2 (Don't know what that "x2" means) and that it supports downloads upto 300Mbps. Now, the problem I'm facing is, I'm getting only 48~50Mbps on the downloads. On the the other hand the upload is around 90Mbps. I just want to know if this low download speed is due to the 2.4Ghz limitation or if this has a workaround. I'm only asking this because the page says upto 300Mbps and my upload speeds are 90Mbps.
EDIT: Seems to me that this is also my laptop limitation. I have a Dell Inspiron 3552 with Qualcomm QCA9565 802.11b/g/n Wireless Adapter. Now according to what I read 802.11n supports 300Mbps max but max I'm getting is 50ishMbps
TIA!

Like the title says who got a working N connection with the 101. I can only connect at 54. Using a netgear WNDR3700 router and WPA2 AES

I'm in the exact same position. My N1 and my eeePC both connect at speeds greater than 54mbps, but the A101 will not go any higher than 54mbps...
I was running a speedtest compare between my Evo and the 70i and noticed a big difference in speed, ~3Mb in favour of the Evo. Also noticed that its only connecting at g and not n. Is there some sort of governing going on?
are we talking connecting to an n router or connecting at n speeds?

Connecting at N speeds.
However, I did set my router to N only mode and I was unable to obtain an IP address.

does you router use 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz for n? what does the archos support?
My router is 2.4-2.5 ghz running DD-WRT. I checked the tech specs on Archos page but I don't see any info on what frequency they are using, just says it supports WiFi b/g/n.

The Archos is 2.4 GHz only. However that doesn't matter, because I have both 2.4 and 5 GHz on my netgear WNDR3700. All my other devices with N are connecting at N speed to it.
I think the problem is the wifi driver from the archos, unless someone can show me that he is connected at N speed with his archos.

It better not be false advertising... Or a fix better be made soon.
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
i have a wndr3700 wireless router and using speedtest from the market i get
7.60 Mbps Down
3.41 Mbps Up
looks pretty fast N or not
I only have 5 GHZ N AP so I had to hook up a 2.4 GHZ "N" router that I have, but it is not really N, could never get 300Mbps connectoin on my laptop, but i get 54Mbps on the Archos, it seems fast enough to me.
not working
Very slow no N
I have 74 Mbit wireless connection with my 101 and an WRT320N-EU, so N does work in my situation

Did somebody here test the Wlan speed from the device ?
I have a european Honor 7. in the technical features it has AC Wlan. But my fastes connection is 200 mbit sitting 1 meter from my Netgear Nighthawk R8000 ( 1300 mbit)
my fritzbox 7490 the same it connects only to the 40MHz Band ......for me it has only Wlan-N standard .My Galaxy S6 edge shows 850 mbit .
mybe its a softwarebug or Honor is joking us?
Which app are you using to measure? I could test the same on my Asus 66 and share.
Set your wireless router to set only on ac mode and check if you have option in router
The theoretical speed has very little to do with real world speed. I get 90 mbit/s up as well as down speed with file transfer tests. This is about what you can expect from a single tiny antenna with ac in a phone. This is way bettet than I have hade with other ac phones.
I have a Netgear R7000 router and 100/100 fiber.

my Galaxy S6 shows 800 mbit network speed in wlan settings..my Honor max 200 mbit.Honor can only connect to 40 Hz Band but my S6 to 80 Hz
On my tests with Honor 7 I receive next results (to/from FTP server in my local net) :
150Mbit connect, 5 Ghz band, N protocol (my wifi router is N only, no AC)
~13 Mbytes/sec download, ~14.5-15 Mbytes/sec upload .
With AC wifi AP you may receive more speed.
It's very good result for mobile phone, more that really need in a smartphone.

With all respect, it bothers me to the brim when someone questions in this kind of forums (developers, diy, craft, etc...) if some other user needs or doesn't need. It's not that we need it, it's that we can, it's that we want to do it, because it can be done, the device specs tell you you can. That's why we are hobbyists.
I'm getting also only
I'm also getting 200mbps on honor 7 when using android 6.0 but before on android 5.x I got 433 ,so something is wrong with the new update ?
Hi everyone, I have Nubia Z7 Max and its spec sheet says that it has 802.11ac. Currently I don't have an AC router, and on the current router and the N connection standard I have 150Mbps link speed. Since I also have a gigabit LAN, with a server for exchanging data between devices, would I gain any kind of speed by switching my router to a one that supports 802.11ac? I know it depends on how many spatial streams and what kind of bandwidths the phone has, but I can't find this info anywhere, is there any detailed info for the AC wifi configuration on ZTE Nubia Z7 Max? Thank you...
Hi, with my mikrotik hap ac(not lite) android shows 433mbit/s, in reality 150-300
I see, I measured and now I have file transfers at around 110 Mbps, with the 150 Mbps link speed reported by Android. So I'd double the speed at best. I'm a bit less interested in a new router now. Maybe later on.... thanks...
Hi.
What wifi speeds is the galaxy S9 plus capable of. I have Gigabit broadband and the max speed I can get on the 5Ghz is 160mbps.
The router from provider isn't the best
Will I get much higher speeds if I upgraded my router or purchased a wireless access point connected to 1gb LAN port and access point capable of 1300mbps on 5Ghz?
Thanks
I have 500Mbps from my provider plus custom router(DIR-882) AC2600 MU-MIMO. And this is what I can get(400Mbps) from room next to my router(3m + wall/door) : http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/4290259062
I've gotten up to about 530mbps once in a while. More typically just under 500.
You need a high end router in order to get higher speeds over WiFi
Try to change to a not frequented channel and set the Bandwith to 80MHz.
I can get 800Mbit/s when nobody other is using the WiFi.
Allways 866Mbps guys.
Tp-Link Vr900
But when i send videos to the nas usually the speed is 40mb/s
Maybe your drive in the NAS can only write with 40MB/s. Remember, that 40MB/s are 320Mbit/s.

I think that with 1+6 i was writing with 50-60mb/s.
Also my nas can write with 1gbit connection (lan) 100mb/s.
Do you have any sort of an extra firewall on your phone?

My S9+ will connect via 5GHz to my Netgear R8500 at a LAN speed of 1083Mbps - but you have to be within 3m/10ft to get that speed. It falls back to 866Mbps pretty quickly if you are only just a little further away.
Real-world download/throughput performance will be lower.
Anyone Oneplus 9R, come with 12GB RAM, 256GB ROM flash to Oxygen have 5G(AC) WIFI sigal?
same problem on mine. Seems some 5Ghz channel works, but not all (44 works, 147,155 wont work in my test)
Interesting. I wonder if this is due to the SoC.
Can you guys spot these specific channels here? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels
Like are they "not normal" somehow?
Hi there.
My two cents.
My 9R only see WiFi 5Ghz channels between 36-64 and 100-128.
Other channels are not seen or connected to.
I checked using an app called WiFi Analyser.
In these channels I do connect OK using a Netgear R7000 router.
Lower channels have better speed in my tests.
The problem is my old Oneplus 5T could see and connect to the full radio spectrum, all channels from 36 to 144.
Missing these channels is an expected behavior for the 9R?
(Spec sheets on gsmarena doesn't talk about these details. They only say that the phone is WiFi dual band compatible)
