I was wondering if there is a good working Google camera available for this device?
I didn't get any of the cameras from the repository to work except for a very primal port from Arnova. Still the image quality is better than the main cam.
Edit: found one.

Edit 2: I use the following settings as attached. I use the hexagon dsp in the settings too, if that makes a difference.
I was unable to find it for my vivo nex. I installed number of different version from different developers.
Nothing worked.
Hope someone finds it or makes one.

Edit : Tried it , Force closes.
Choose the version mentioned above. Model as Pixel 2 XL. I shared the settings I use. Everything working here.

Stark makes these ports specifically for LG devices with a "wide" angle dedicated camera. We don't have one. You installed the wide angle camera. Copy and search for the exact specific version that I mentioned.

Have been searching for the exact same thing. I even asked in the thread. Indian Vivo Nex units are not recognizing the path mentioned there. Couldn't get it to work. Hopefully someone figures out something.

One thing I found out is that in Indian version under DOWNLOADS there is a folder namely iTheme, inside it there is a hidden folder namely .Themes , but this folder only shows the cache data of iTheme app.

I'm currently experimenting using BSG 6.1.021, Sanity 6.2.030 and Sanity 7.0.009 beta version. Sanity Beta 7.0.009 took the best night shot/astrophotography hands down. but im still figuring out which gcam version took the best snapshots for daily use. Which one for you is the best version that produce a better image quality?

I just tried Parrot's Goodbye version (v.7 Gcam) and I found that it's better/customisable than the last (unfinished) beta of sanity.
If you want this, go Telegram and search for: PMGC_7.0.009_FinalBuildGoodbye_V1.apk
BSG's MGC-7.0.009_MiIXSE.RPII.MiVIII_V1b_NoFixBuff works flawlessly for me on LineageOS 16. I haven't yet tested his 7.2 release linked in the other thread (MGC_7.2.011_MiIXSE.RPII.MiVIII_V0).

With this port the photos looks a bit oversharpened, but it's faster than the San1ty one, which are your setting to get cleaner photos like the san1ty port?
I keep all at default. I only use auto AWB (put button on screen), the WB on default didn't like me.

it's a very good port, nice version, i'm on miui 11 last stable android 9 and this version works very well, it's all ok, astrophotography too.
I only set to 15 max n. of frames of hdr+ enhanced and force face detection for beauty filter.

Apk gcam can get frm gplayname of app GB clube.they build app for gcam port.
And got config file.

I used to face the same issue but now it's not there.
Try giving all the permissions and set HDR+ mode to auto instead of HDR+ on. You can also check other settings and let me know if anything makes any difference...

I am on miui global 11.0.3
Can't say anything for sure about bug because of the rom but this is the only working camera i have found. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer...

Don't know, It says MIUI Global 11.0.3 Stable. How do I check?
Whenever I try to install a gcam apk it gets 3/4 of the way and then says "not installed". Permissions all seem ok. What am I doing wrong?

Try this gcam I found it on teligram channel (link below). A guy with name Jose : ROOT REDMI 8A shared it.
It has night sight and can take potrait images. Dosent have slow motion but photos are way better than stock camera. Only bug is you can't take photos from front camera. He said he'll fix it.

Bro I'm not a developer, I'm just a casual user as you are. I also recently bought Realme 7 and trying different gcams and other things and trying to help other users out there with my experience and knowledge

ffs dotn use any version 6 gcam mods, just use v7, u have m\any of them and im guessing many will work fine, im usiing many of them on my motorola g7 - any of those mods r not compatibile with my phone but work like a charm, justy do it your self

Still far from fully working, but promising at least, since most of what I tested just force closes.

Hello, guys do you have problem with the Gcam and the xml file:
Arcide-8.7-for-Xiaomi-12T-Pro.xml with this lib: lib8.7_Arcide_2023-01-15.so
With MIUI upddate the gcam started to crash and its like the GCAM is loosing the setting file coz when its not crashing then photos looks terrible, even worst than stock cam.
I updated for the latest GCAM and imported the settings again and it didn't fix the problem.
If the latest version works for you guys can you do comparision photo stock vs gcam settings, maybe its the xml fault?

dont use this gcam, its bad. Autofocus is missing half of the shots.
Just received my 12T Pro today. Installed LMC8.4_R18F1 from Hasli on it. Seems to work fine out of the box.
Still just testing stuff out. Man this standard camera is upping the colours a lot. I still have my Poco F2 Pro but that one is a bit less colourly. With the Gcam colours seem more natural.

Updated the phone out of the box to the latest MIUI (14.0.9) , Installed that cam as everyone sais that it crashes with Gcam.
And I also installed another Gcam to test .. it crashed so it is repeatable what someone said.
As per your question. No config loaded and it works semi perfectly. No crashes or whatever, Tried video, portret, all the camera lenses after switching them on in the settings. It all seems to work for now. (need to test more)
If I have time I will try to mess with the settings for a config, but time is not my friend at the moment.
I also use that Gcam on my Poco F2 Pro and it is generaly really good. With a bit to many things to play with actually.
Oww tried portrait with the selfie cam, a serious difference in the positive way.
At least my grass is not nuclear green now when taking a photo. They should really have some colour settings in the standard camera.
Seems like a good base to make some config files for.
edit: only thing I see so far is that panorama doesn't work
