Hello. There is no ANT Hal Service on Android Pie, which is responsible for wireless radio communication (Radio Service ANT) Android devices with third-party gadgets using ANT + technology. I tried to transfer this service from oreo, but it does not work. ANT + is very important to me, but for some reason this service is absent on all androyd pie including all rom's custom. Who can help with the solution of this issue.

Me too
Went for a run this morning and my heartrate monitor wouldn't connect... Ant+ checker apps say there's no built-in ant installed.

I’m talking about this and saying that ANT + does not work on all the firmware on the 9th android both on miui 10 stable and beta, as well as on all custom. And no one talks about this, except for me, as if no one uses ANT + except me.

Question to the creators of the firmware. How to make ANT+ work on Android 9 Pie.

I have problem too. No function ANT+ with watch Garmin. Please help!

Does the Poco have an ANT sensor built in? Did it work with Oreo roms? I just checked with an App and it told me that there is no ANT sensor built into this device (MIUI global stable, Pie 10..13)

Nougat or LineageOS

Hello,
here's a quick question. Should I stick with the Nougat demo, or is it better to switch to LineageOS? I'm kinda annoyed by the fact that the fingerprint sensor is not working so that would be a pro for LineageOS (as long as it supports that feature). I don't care about stuff like paying over NFC. Does Xposed and root work on LineageOS?
I recently went onto the Nougat Beta and happy with it mainly due to the fact I have better GPS / 4G and more important for my need the Bluetooth Audio in car works great.
However, I ihad nstalled Lineage prior to this and I really like Lineage, only reason I moved to the 7 Beta was because of the Bluetooth audio issue. With regards to rooting LineageOS, read here in the LineageOS thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/el...ndroid-6-0-t3423518/post71013904#post71013904
I think it is the best if you take LineageOS and install xposed. Then you can use a few things with Android N-ify from Android 7 to Android 6.

ANT+ support

Hi,
I read about other XIAOMI phones which do not have "official" ANT+ support, that it is possible to activate the ANT+ interface with a ANT+ HAL plugin.
Can anyone confirm that ANT+ is working on the poco f1 and has successfully paired ANT+ sensors?
Thanks

Up! Maybe someone had the possibility to test it in the meantime? :highfive:

Checking/forcing Bluetooth Audio Codec

I'm currently using the Xiaomi Sport Mini Earphones (https://xiaomi-mi.com/in-ear-headphones/xiaomi-mi-sport-bluetooth-ear-hook-headphones-mini-black/)
My Mi Pad 4 seems to connect through SBC, but I want to user a higher fidelity codec such as AptX. If I'm not mistaken, the earbud should support this protocol, according to the reviews.
How can I identify all possibilities for certain what is possible and force codec?
Interesting question! I also have an Apt-X receiver. When I connect my Oneplus 5, it shows "powered by qualcomm apt x" when it connects. I do not see it anywhere on the MiPad 4.
For me, after connecting a BT device supporting AptX, <powered by qualcomm apt x> is displayed.
I am on AOSP v25. Maybe MIUI 9 for Mi Pad 4 does not support AptX yet. Have you tried on another GSI or MIUI 10 ?
Update:
Checked again today whether it works and unfortunately not. I decided to rectify my post.
Sorry that I was misleading with the Aptx operation at Mi Pad 4.
I use so many Android devices that sometimes I'm wrong about what works and what does not.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have to wait 359h to unlock Bootloader....
I found some time to do research. I now confirm that AptX works on Mi Pad 4 after installing the Magisk module from Repo.

Interesting! Which ROM do you use?
Please tell us the correct name of the module.
Module is Android O APT-X libraries v2 by Jolanrensen from Magisk repo.
Using on AOSP v26 now.

Thanks, i will try it on the Xiaomi EU Rom
Dont work, still on AAC I have tried to change it in the developer options but no result (Xiaomi EU Miui 10 Beta)
I found some aptx options in developer options. not sure if it works with headphones though.
It seems impossible...

Multi-sim - Disable 1 of the sim cards possible?

Hello,
Previously, I was using a OnePlus 5.
This phone had the ability on Oxygen OS to disable one sim-card.
This was very nice and important for me.
Currently my Pocophone runs on Lineage OS 16, and it seems not possible to disable one sim-card.
Is there an app our a way to disable one sim-card?
I would like to use this every day, because I don't need to be available for my work after the office hours.
If there isn't an app, cli is also fine.
If somebody is running Miui stock and it's possible there, please let me know.
Also if you're running on Miui stock, are the bluetooth hickups solved when listening to audio on your car radio, streamed through bluetooth?

Android Auto discussion

Hey guys, I would like to start a discussion about the Android Auto and it's issues on the latest ROMs for k20/9t pro. For instance I find it barely working on latest pixel experience but the January version of this rom is not affected.
I consider Android auto as must be as well as correct notification that's why I have chosen custom rom.. but now I'm at the crossroads.
What seems to be a problem? Is there any hope for positive future implementation of this app?
I believe there were no topics like this If so let me know.
I don't know why xiaomi phones have such problems with android auto, in custom roms it doesn't work also in all xiaomi roms (global, stable, beta, eu, china...) If you enable dual app it stop working and it does that in every xiaomi phone(to be exact mi mix 3, mi8, k20 pro is the same scenario)
It's not Xiaomi phone's fault , android auto is not working in many other custom , I had Google pixel 2 xl as well, and it was running on havoc os and still android auto were not working in that model.
It's google problem poor programators like in M$
Sometimes, when I plug the phone, media controls (on steering wheel) don't work, and Spotify doesn't show on screen, and I need to unplug and plug again the phone for getting them to work.
Except this, I don't have other problems.
Sorry for the off-topic, but how about MirrorLink? Is it still only compatible with Samsung, Sony, and Nokia phones? It would be great to be able to mirror screen to my 10" in-car screen. My last 3-4 phones had luck only with Android Auto, and some of them barely worked. 2020, and there's still no proper communication standard (wireless preferably) between Android phones and cars.
