My Redmi note 4 (mido) is currently running RR 6.1 , TWRP 3.1 recovery. I want to flash a new ROM. However, every time I try to do it, it fails, and "failed to mount '/data' (No such process) " and "Unable to mount storage" is shown on twrp in red. How do I fix this?

Your recovery is outdated. Flash OrangeFox recovery (you will find it in the development section) and it will work

So this morning i had looked up an (under heavy development) android 6.0 rom for the xiaomi redmi note 2 and tried to flash it, when i rebooted it with this new rom after 5 minutes i got an screen saying it was encrypting the phone so i took out the battery real quick. when i got back to twrp i tried to restore to my back up but got an message saying: unable to mount/ 'data' (invalid argument) so please help me i tried everything and i have no money to buy a new one
I'd try flashing an official fastboot rom, I think that it should fix your partitions.
Then, if it works again, just flash TWRP and install whatever you want.

That's it. Android 6.0 has other partitioning than 5.x.x. If you want flash Android MM you need flash specially edited TWRP, which is adapted to MM partitons (You can find this TWRP on xda). Btw. Fastboot is the one way to wake up your RN2

Hi, I had MM in my phone but something ****ed up my recovery so I flashed the MIUI 8 dev fastboot rom through SP Flash Tools, now everything's okay but I can't get TWRP to work, I tried a lot of versions, the 2.8.7, the 3.0.2.0 and etc, but every time I boot to recovery the phone just hangs at the TWRP logo. Do you know how I can fix this? I've tried everything.
Ignore this.
I missed you have MM.
I've tried magisk and i get "update process ended with erorr 1".
I also tried flasing SuperSu and it was sucessfull, but still not rooted.
use latest magisk zip

It occurs because rooting your ROM requires to mount Vendor. But the recovery you're using is unable to mount Vendor. So it produces error 1.
To solve it you need to flash another twrp recovery capable of mounting vendor.
Try twrp recovery by xdoge. It'll work.
Hello,
I installed TWRP and rooted my Phone with Magisk afterwards.
Now my phone always boots into TWRP instead of starting my Android.
I already removed Magisk and tried flashing the xiaomi.eu ROM but that doenst help.
I also tried formatting my /data partition but that fails with the Message "Unable to decrypt FBE". When i try to format data i get the error "unable to wipe '/data' -- unknown file system 'auto' unable to format to remove encryption.
I hope I haven't bricked my phone completely and someone can help me

The Program fails with exit code 1: Mismatching Image and Device, do you know how i can solve this?
Enter in fastboot mode
Select the phone is bricked
Got it working!
If anyone else has this Problem on his MI 10T, this is what i did:
1. Download the TWRP from here --> https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...r-mi-10t-mi-10t-pro-redmi-k30s-ultra.4187427/
2. Boot TWRP from Fastboot --> fastboot boot <twrp.img>
3. Use OTG pendrive to install xiaomi.eu ROM (I used Version 12.0.7) - without any wipe.
4. After the installation completed successfully, wipe your cache, data and do a full wipe in stock recovery
5. Reboot your System (optionally install twrp) and happy with your working System :^)
Hello. I've been trying to install a custom rom on my phone (9s Global) but both TWRP and OrangeFox give me Error 1 and I can't do anything to fix the problem. My phone is running Android 11. OF gives me an obscure message but TWRP gives me a fail error when mounting some partitions.
I tried to install it again but OrangeFox didn't even give me an error code, just a simple error when installing the zip file.
Is the recovery supposed to mount the system partition? I can't select it in OrangeFox and I can't do anything to solve my problem.
