Any apps that are compatible with N2 for having control over what the LED shows with certain notifications?

Light flow gave me talk back issues. I hated this. I use light manager. No talk back and as far as I can tell it works perfect:
1. Lights are correct. (Blue is blue, red is red)
2. Light blinking is spot on. 1 second is 1 second, 2 seconds is 2 seconds and so on.
3. Again, no talk back issues
4. If you are rooted it has the option to add 3rd party apps.
One thing it doesn't do as far as I can tell is keep the light on when the screen is on. I hated this at first but to tell you the truth I really have gotten used to it, and I think I prefer this.
Just my 2 cents

Relatedly, is there a list somewhere of all the colors the LED is capable of (or is it capable of any color)? A Google search was unhelpful for me. Coming from a Thunderbolt with a orange/green notification light I'm hoping for something better.

Lightflow currently has issues with the phone and using it will force you to disable the Air Hover feature with the S-Pen.
I also had issues with the LED staying on after reading text messages. Bummer because I LOVED the program for my Nexus and bought the pro version.
I'll give light manager a try.. thanks!

I'm rooted as well. I installed and lost all Swipe functionality and every time I rebooted the phone acted as if I was using for the first time (help pop-ups).

The note 2 has red, green, and blue lights. It will make any color using those. My suggestion is to download light manager and test to see what I am talking about.

I don't have the phone yet, otherwise I'd have done exactly that and found out for myself. Thanks for letting me know, now I really can't wait to get this phone!

I like using LED Manager. It's just as good as the payed version of Lite Flow (or better) but free.

Are there an other alternatives that also customize the vibration repeat pattern? As somebody already mentioned Lightflow does not allow airview on the Note.
Light manager works perfectly!!!!

Hello everyone,
Okey when I had my Nexus and used the Lightflow app, and a certain notification popped up in the notification bar (that notification was setup in Lightflow with a blinking LED) with screen on it would also blink.
On my note2, if my screen is on and I get that notification, it doesn't blink. I have no idea why.
Anybody familiar with Lightflow? Any ideas how I can make Lightflow blink with screen on?
Sent from my AK-55
Have you checked out Lightflows settings to make sure that you have that checked? Also that may only be a option in the paid version of Lightflow. Im not very familiar with it but it should under settings I would think.
Edit:
Just treated it for myself and it works perfectly on the free version. Click on the app in you app drawer, click settings, enable root mode, enable Samsung mode, then set your apps up.
I tested it on a low battery and it wouldn't quit flashing or give me a notification to turn it off like it does with email and other apps so I had to set it to go off after one minute for the low battery warning. I think the only reason it didn't have a pop ip was because the battery was already at 9%. The light stayed on the entire time the screen was on also.

No problem, its a bit annoying when it wouldnt show the notification for the battery so you may have that problem in the future or it may just be cause I tested it with a low battery.

I've found a very good solution
I use the app Charging LED and define all batery levels colour as pure red (#ffff0000). When the phone is on charge and screen off, the led will become red and not bright at all (it's the only colour that is not bright).

Nope. This problem happened with my Mate 9 before. Unbelieveable after a long time and update Huawei did not fix this . I dont want vibrate , sound or light up the screen , just need the led . Damn
I know i get whatsapp in green, facebook in blue, etc on my P9 plus. Haven't installed these apps on Mate 10 to try it.

On my Mate 9 Porsche Design the LED works well with WhatsApp, Skype, Flightradar, A Calendar+ etc
In some Apps you can choose the color, in some apps it's a fixed color.

The problem here is that only certain apps are using the LED. Why I have no idea, clearly it is not hardware error since it works for sms...

Maybe but I just discovered something. It seems like apps that have notification light set to off have priority.
WhatsApp notification light set to on
Tapatalk notification light set to off
Scenario 1
If I get WhatsApp notification the LED flashes
Scenario 2
If I get WhatsApp and Tapatalk notification the LED doesn't flash
I will keep investigating to see if I am correct

Maybe the last received notification determines it? What happen if you first get a Tapatalk notification and then a WhatsApp?

I seems I hit a dead end, Tapatalk doesn't even have setting for the notification light.
If I first get a Tapatalk notification I don't have a blinkning LED, if I then get a WhatsApp notification I still don't get blinking LED.
But I need to test more tonight, during the day I mostly get notification from WhatsApp and Tapatalk, the issue might not be related to those app at all.

Strangely enough, on Mate 8 the notification light worked out of the box, like green for Whatsapp notifications. With the Mate 10 this doesn't seem to be the case.

I did the manual update to .198
I have never noticed on the previous firmware before, but with .198 I have a night light option where the do not disturb is.
Never knew that this existed.
where is the option to turn on?

What happens if you press it?
or use the drop down arrow
Has the option to turn off. Then it disappears. I found that the only way to turn it on is in the quick settings.
However it's saying that the screen is tinted amber. But it really isn't as far as my eyes can see.

Thx a lot Darkat70
Night Light is the built in Android version of Eye Comfort. It probably doesn't do anything because Huawei do their own thing. Weird that it's showing in settings.
Well that is odd. I used ADB and removed Huawei App Market now that night light icon and option in settings has gone.

there is a network speed switch, you don't need an app.
Settings/Display/More display settings : turn ON/OFF Display network speed.
