Is it possible to port a browser to the W10m that does not use the EdgeHTML engine? Such as Google Chrome or the Android's own Edge that uses Blink?(Sorry, this isn’t my first language.)

I have a simple question...Is the firefox on the webtop a full experience as pc? For example some flash games like Farmville won't work on an android phone in browser, but will they work on webtop firefox? It is not like this game is important for me it is an example came to my mind to compare.
So far it seems pretty close. Although you cannot stream Netflix and I didn't try the game you mentioned. I have used it stream Hulu (but full screen even on fast wifi is a little bit choppy). I can use the Citrix plug in to pull up my Windows XP desktop and access programs from work. (pretty wild to be pulling up an XP desktop on the tv from the phone).
HDMI really needs the 1080 badly....720 doesn't cut it for reports and the like..
Still, for me, it isn't a pc or notebook replacement. If I am travelling and don't want to bring a pc I can bring the Motorola keyboard and Verbatim BT mouse and it will do in a pinch (assuming I have wifi).
imho
To answer the OP's question: Yes. It is a full Firefox browser install, like it would be on any linux-based computer. The same limitations that exist for standard linux desktops with Firefox apply to the webtop as well (no Silverlight so no Netflix, no Windows Media Player, etc). But the flash plugin is there, and works fine with Hulu, flash-based games, Youtube, etc.
I tried to play minecraft on webtop firefox, but then found out that Java wasn't installed. Can I actually install java?
firfox browser addons
does it support plugins like divx web player... or veetle plugin...
Unfortunately there is no java plugin, and I could not get the latest Oracle embedded jre to work with it (even though it shows up in about: plugins). Any plugins that work with Firefox on linux should work in the webtop, provided the plugins can run on an ARM platform.
Found this today:

Anyone seen something similar for Android based browsers (maybe firefox) ?
Have had a "google" around but unable to find anything.
Is this something that cound be reverse engineered?
EDIT:
Is it only replacing Youtube functionality?
If so, the new Youtube for Android is HTML5 based now anyway.
Its kind of pointless if its just for Youtube, you can just go to youtube.com/html5 and opt in to using the HTML5 player. Plus there is already a Youtube app for Android, but if you want the full website instead an HTML5 capable browser with a desktop user agent should work.
Safari for iOS/Mac has an app called reader which renders the text of a website ignoring all the noise like images etc. Is the a similar feature for chrome on android? It's a very useful feature for me on the laptop and feels even more essential on a mobile device. Is there an alternative?

Hello,
is there any app which can provide a dlna server on my Lumia 920 with WP8.1? Ich want to have the possibillity to browse the files stored inside my smartphone with my enigma2 driven set top box.
I tried "Nokia Play to", "Smart Player" and some other apps from the windowsphonestore but as far as i know they are just Players and no servers. With These apps i can browse the server on my set top box but i can not send files to the Server. Is there any solution for my issue?
Thanks for your help
"Nokia PlayTo" is DLNA server, not a player. But you need Nokia handset to run this app. AFAIK, there are no other DLNA servers for WP7/WP8 but WP 8.1 has new API called "PlayTo". Unfortunately in dev preview this API implementation lacks of server functionality ("regular" Windows 8.1 has, I've played video from Surface tablet to my TV). Hope, MS will add this functionality to WP 8.1 release and we'll see a lot of DLNA servers/players in Store
Thank you for your help. So i will wait until MS fixes this problem.
Hi!
I'm wondering of someone reading my post is having Surface Duo emulator installed and running.
Can anyone extract the ringtones out of it's OS image and put them here ?

I have it installed and it's basically just stock Android with a custom launcher for now.
Not Allot but fun to play with.
There is not much to see in the current version of the Duo EMU, As was already said, it seems to be for the most part the base Android experience with the ability to play with the UI in it's native layout (Dual Screen) it's plain but you can bring files over from your host environment like wallpapers and such, it may be possible to side load apps to see how they act in the environment. idk if you could sideload the play store and load up you favorite apps to try and get a solid feel. I like playing with it to sandbox stuff and just get myself used to the form factor and over UI (Coming from a long line of Samsung Note's). Here is the factory app list according to the MS Duo Page:
