Hi,
I just acquired a new Sony bluetooth headset but I suffer from terrible bluetooth quality (gaps of silence while listening, lag, low audio quality): it is barely usable.
Since the headphones provide support for the LDAC codec but apparently LineageOS 7 does not, what can I do?
The stock rom probably provides LDAC support. So does Android Oreo (and maybe LineageOS 8). Is there any way to benefit from the LDAC codec (the headphones also have aptx) on LineageOS 7 without having to go back to the stock rom or buy another phone? Is there a way to port LDAC support from the Z5C's official stock rom to LineageOS?
Thank you for your help

Hi everyone!
I've started this thread for everyone to share which headphones are you using (as the title say) and your sound experience with them.
Actually I'm using the mee audio m6p
http://www.meeaudio.com/M6P-CL/
And this sounds very well for my taste
I'd like to see your replies and experiences :good:
Currently with stock earphones (MH410c) they are not that good, but they get the job done. Also I have tried Samsung Galaxy S6 earphones, they are much better

Xiaomi Pro HD (Hybrid)

tried out them and the Piston V2,
is it normal that NO sound control works on the M4 Aqua ?
Or are special headphones needed ? (e.g. headphone designed for "Apple" / iPhone)
currently running latest Marshmallow ROM (stock kernel + stock ROM)

I think is something on the headphones like a config on the conector.
It's like a comuncation protocol.
SOMIC V4 Double Drivers.
They're alright.
Hi
Im using LG quadbeat 3 (its from LG g4) and Motorola earbuds 2, booth sounds supreme. I cant post the links
KZ AS10, NiceHCK NX7
after taking some time to take a look at the installed apps and disabling lots of components of the ROM sound doesn't randomly set itself (on its own !) to max volume anymore,
also it doesn't randomly stop the music anymore.
So it clearly was some component wreaking havoc
finally it can be used as a music player (or backup phone) :good:
The noise floor is a bit high though (with sensitive earphones or BA [balanced armature] ones)
Have been thinking about picking up a pair of Sony WH1000XM2 that use the LDAC codec over Bluetooth. I was wondering if anyone else has a pair of these (or any Sony headphones that support LDAC).
I've read all the product reviews, I'm mostly wondering if LDAC works properly and if the sound quality and bluetooth reception is good on the OnePlus5 (especially if you're on OpenBeta 6).
Thanks in advance for any insights!
I have the MDR1000X and this model works very well with LDAC and apt-X on every Open Beta version including Open Beta 6
To be honest, I can't hear any difference between LDAC and apt-x with aac 320kbit/s files.

It's been a year I know, but for anyone wondering:
LDAC and all other Codecs are perfectly supported and working with the WH1000XM2 and Oneplus 5. I settled with AAC, since it is the best available codec still allowing to use the Sony Apps inbuilt equalizer.
Hi guys I have a problem with using my Pocophone F1 to play music from my bluetooth speaker. When i connect it there is no sound coming out of either the phone or the speaker. I know the speaker works because I tested it with other devices. I am on miui global version 10.0.6.0 OEJMIFH if that helps. Also I tested with another speaker and the same issue remained.
I kinda don't want to change to a custom rom like lineageOS because I am worried that there are a lot of bugs on these kinds of software (but to be honest MIUI has its own fair share of bugs)
How are your experiences with custom roms?
Any help would be much appreciated guys.
PS. I am in the UK by the way if that would make a difference.
I've hogged this question around all phone manufacturers, and the only phone that supports it that I know of is LG V series. OPPO itself ignored the question, so if someone could test...
Also, what about aptX... does it have it?

Disappointing, I remember back in 2014 people complaining that MaxxAudio wasn't supported by BT in OPPO Find 7. It's extraordinary that these blasted companies ditch the audio jack and expect people to use BT without the system EQ, which is far superior to the bucket-load of poor third-party EQ apps.
OnePlus 7 Pro doesn't support it, according to support. Sony Xperia 1 I now know does, so it's a choice between that and LG.
Reno 10x has aptx HD via Bluetooth. It means you can enjoy almost lossless audio if you have right headphone. I have an audio Technica Bluetooth headphone with aptx HD. Works amazing with the Reno. Perfect and Crystal clear sound. The problem with aptx HD headphones is that they are expensive. The one i have is 300 $.
I didnt find any more sites that I can ask this question and after about two weeks of consistently researching about my situation, I figured I ask some help from you guys.
I have a Xiaomi Mi Box 3 Global Version which I purchased from Aliexpress in 2018.
It was on Android Oreo 8.1 but I updated it to Android Pie 9.0 recently this year.
I have been using my trusted headphone by Meizu. Model is Meizu HD50 which I bought in 2016. it has served me well.
I am now looking to buy a new headphone to use as I watch Movies from time to time at home.
I recently found a 7.1 Xiaomi Gaming headphone which I am inclined to buy but just before I proceed with the purchase I would like to ask for some advice and opinion from others whether it is a good call to purchase it for movie purposes.
From what I gathered from my previous research is that the headphone must be plugged to a computer to use the 7.1 paired with the xiaomi software for PC to use the 7.1.
Im thinking could I connect the headphone directly to the xiaomi mi box USB port and watch 7.1 / 5.1 videos and have the passthrough feature of the KODI player?
Regarding the Kodi, I found from my searches that since the Android pie update, kodi lost the passthrough support. Is this true?
To anyone who has experience regarding my situation please share your opinions.
Xiaomi Mi box 3 Global Version on Android 9 ---> Xiaomi Gaming Headphone 7.1 plugged to the USB hub connected to the Mi Box --> play videos with 5.1/7.1 Audio using Kodi Player with Passthrough enabled = raw 7.1 Sound from video?????
Any response will be appreciated as I am aiming for Xiaomi Gaming Headphone 7.1 if audio works
if not, I will go for Meizu HD60 which is Hi-Res audio and bluetooth ready with Aptx support.
Thank you
