Without any further details, it's going to be difficult to help. It's pretty hard to do so..... What did you do to brick it? Can you get into recovery. Do you have a custom rom? Provide some more details & someone might be able to help you

You can follow this thread: http://www.androidiani.com/forum/zte-nubia-z7/446548-guida-di-unbrick-z7-max-mini.html
use google translate.
I am going to post a guide in English in about 2 hours. I have bricked mine and I followed the procedure from androidiani.
Guide to unbrick ZTE Nubia Z7 Mini
I have done this procedure on my device without any problem after a repartition failure, but I am not responsible about anything happens to your device (which is already bricked...)

1) We disable driver signature verification for windows.

- Windows 8 http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
2) We download the drivers, which we extract in our desktop.
3) We connect the device while switched off to PC via a USB 2.0 port, and we launch Windows device manager. We press simultaneously Vol +/Vol -/Power button for ~5 seconds. We should see our device identified as QHUSB_BULK under Ports section in device manager. If we get prompted to format several drives we cancel all of the actions.
4) We right-click at device QHUSB_BULK > Update Driver > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Have disk > Browse, and we open Nuova cartella folder which we have extracted, containing the drivers.
We choose the driver named Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008 and we install it.
We can see our device now identified with that name in the device manager.
5) We download Nubia Toolstudio , and Z7 mini files.
We extract them inside a folder in our desktop, and we run toolstudio as administrators, disabling our anti-virus, or putting the program to its' exceptions because it will be detected as malware.
In the prompt which will pop-up requiring a password, we enter the e-mail address found at the .txt file.
6) We select eMMC Download, we refresh and we should see our device identified like this.
7) We select browse, and we select the folder nx507J_files containing the Z7 mini files.
8) We select start all, and we wait until the procedure finishes.
The whole process has ended, we unplug our device and we can boot it. We will be with stock rom 1.28
Hi Stratos,
i was able bevor to google translate the italian text an d using the screenshots avaliable there i was able to flash the Nubia 7 MAX
software. BUT no imeis are in the Phone so now i have to find a method to type the IMEI numbers in the Phone dont know how..
I tried to create a flashable zip (as suggested by nano7mobile.blogspot) but did not work maybe becuase i dont know
the IMEI Folder location inside the Phone..
Simos
previously after bricked zte z7 max, can flash with ToolStudio : http://www.needrom.com/download/z7-max-2-13-android-5-beta_eng_chi/ (file: NX505J_CNCommon_V2.13.tar)
voila, phone revive.. thankyou..
Another Problem is Appear..
Imei,Meid, is gone.
i backup imei (blank) with Qpst, generate name: blank_imei.QCN ( ^^)
edit my own file : blank_imei..QCN (with blank imei, meid, esn)
the file is about 141 KB.
i open with hexa editor, feel confuse, don't know where to start, don't know the location of imei, meid, esn.
i don't know where "offset" position to be edit.
i google around,
i think need file : *.QCN from someone z7 max backup, to determine the position of imei, meid, esn. (cmiiw)
can someone help me, provide backup of Z7 Max *.QCN file?
i will Surely change it with hexa editor, edit it with my own imei, meid, esn.
or there is another way to fix this imei-meid-esn problem?

I bricked it yesterday trying to downgrade from cm12.1 to Official nubia 3.01. Yesterday it showed up as QHUSB_BULK, but now it shows up as android cd rom drive and I can't do anything with it. Currently it will boot into the nubia recovery and it will charge, I can't enable it as mass storage device . I can see that all my files are there through the recovery but I can't gain access to them. Will it let me flash from External USB micro sd card as I am about to go buy one? If I turn it on it goes straight into nubia recovery and when I have it off it charges.
When you said 1.28 did you mean Official 1.82? The 1.82 did not work for me as I had an official 1.82 already downloaded. The file you linked I could not download due to poor connection. I was able to install Nubia 3.01 but I think I lost my imei because it says no sim detected. Fortunately, I do have an efs backup from HC-kTool - will I be able to restore that? Also all of this began as I went straight to V3.01 instead of V2.03, first . And then I went to cm12.1 which was extremely buggy so I try to downgrade to official v3.01 and then to Kitkat 4.4.4 v1.82 when something happened to the pc and phone lost connection during the downgrade.
What should I do next? I currently am on Lollipop 3.01 with no radios, baseband etc. My blue-tooth and wi-fi are working. Should I try to restore my efs.img I backed up with HC-kTool?

I'm in a similar situation with mine, self inflicted of course while I was trying to get the phone rooted with 3.01.
Anyway where it is now I can still boot to a point and I still have the Nubia recovery util fully functional. If you go into that and look under 'other' you will see that you have the ability to enable mass storage from there and yes you have the option of updating via SD,internal and OTG via the recovery util.
For me though unless I want to get nasty and do things from scratch it looks like I can only carry out an update using an official Nubia file and not just a recovery nor an earlier or current version of stock firmware which is kind of weird. And yes you have the option of updating via the SD,internal and OTG via the recovery util.
Thanks Parso, fortunately I followed the above steps and I restored to official 5.0. but then I lost my imei and had to sort that out. I actually like the official 5.0 except for 2 bugs one where I can't see the WiFi icon on the status bar unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi. And the other is sometimes when I get a call the screen never lights up and I can't swipe to answer the calls which is really annoying because I have to call them back.
I have the same situation right now.I upgraded my z7max 1.64 to 3.09.then I tried cm12 but there were so many problems with mobile data.
So I decided to change it.It was a big mistake to go back to 1.64 without reading anything. In the end it stopped working after a few trys.
Anyway I managed to enter toolstudio 4.6 and show it at por as com13 .Then I watched steps and flashed 3.09 to phone. It seemed like succesfull but it wasnt. Now it s not reacting and all black screen.
Also when I connected it to computer again at the beginning it was QHUSB_BULK with yellow sign. Then I tried to install Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM to set it up.Now it became worse. When I connect my phone it s written "unidentifed device" on device manager.
I guess we re missing one thing. For example this "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" or qhsusb驱动 folders are for XP, Vista or 7. I m using windows 8 right now and I think these files are not suitible as drivers.
So my phone is dead now.If I can set drivers up I guess I can fix it.But I cant find any other drivers and that s the biggest problem.

For all those who are facing issues unbricking the phone as given above, use these Qualcomm drivers (5th post from top)
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/71825-hard-brick-to-hell-and-back-guide-to-recovery/page__st__40
Point to these drivers from Device manager (QHUSB_BULK). Your device should be identified correctly. Also follow the same steps exactly as given earlier. I managed to unbrick with completely working phone & IMEI.
If anyone is intersted in reading why Qualcomm devices cannot be bricked completely, read the links given below in 2 parts

Hi, this is my first post here. XDA-forums are great and I think here is the place where you would help me to solve the problem with my phone Nubia z7max.
The problem is that after a software (ROM) update in recovery TWRP from the stock 3.22 to Mokee (android 6 ) , the phone remained on logo "Nubia powered by Android". I have read probably everything written about that problem in all possible places that I found around the internet including Chinese NUBIA forum, Androidiani, 4PdA and so on. I followed all the steps which incidentally are the same everywhere for fixing the phone:

The difference in my case is that the procedure for flashing have completed with no errors and the phone restarts and it is in the same condition without any change: the logo "NUBIA powered by Android".
I tried to maybe over 10 different drivers. The phone is detected by the computer as it should be. When downloading the ROM in to the phone with ToolStudio_4.6 or NX505J Nubia Tool V2.1.0, procedure runs without any problems but the result is the same. There is no possibility to enter into recovery, I was TWRP and accordingly have a backup made in TWRP ahead of time when my phone is working normally.
With the combination Vol+, Vol- & Power pressed together for about 7-8 seconds the phone is recognized by the computer as HSUSB_Bulk and a cuple of disc drives with a different volume. Drivers are installed correctly although hardware is 19d2 and the phone is recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM XX).
With the combination Vol+ & Power pressed together for about 7-8 seconds the phone is recognized as Android ADB Interface, on screen are Nubia logo. In this kind I can charge (at least visibly) TWRP through "Z7_Max_All_In_One_Tool_Created_By_Tigreos" (NeedRom), but after that I can not go into Recovery. With the same tool I can install stock recovery too but still can not login to recovery.
The biggest success I've achieved after many attempts, two weeks from now, are to initial animation pictures and melody at startup and phone suddenly goes off.

Hi folks,
Today it's a great day for me : I have successfully patched the kernel to have a 100% working TWRP 3.2.1 for our Maze Alpha 4G.
I have port a Jemmini build for Bluboo S1 and I have patch the kernel to have a working touch panel
I have followed this Thead
For the Maze Alpha 6G version, you can test it and tell me please.
How to flash:
I Fastboot method (must unlock device) :
1- Reboot your phone in bootloader mode : adb reboot bootloader or phone off, press and hold at the same time POWER and Vol+ buttons
2- Connect your phone to your computer with adb/fastboot already installed
3- Unlock your bootloader : fastboot oem unlock (it will erase you data, only data)
4- Flash the recovery : fastboot flash recovery recovery_maze_alpha_4G_twrp-321.img
II SPFlashTool method (no need to unlock device) :
1- Download latest version of SPFlashTools.
2- Execute it and load the provided scatter (the recovery image must be in the same folder as the scatter and must be renamed to recovery.img) then press "Dowbload" button
3a- windows SPFlashTools users : phone off, press VOL+ and connect it to your PC (running SPFlashTool and waiting for phone connetion)
3b- linux SPFlashTools users : phone off and connected to PC , press VOL+ and POWER while your PC is running SPFlashTool (with sudo) and waiting for phone connetion.
Update : you can found here the latest version: TWRP 3.3.0 for MAze Alpha 4Ghttps://github.com/dreambo/android_device_maze_alpha/releases/tag/3.3.0
have a nice day.
Works great on Maze alpha 4G. Thanks.
But I forgot to save original recovery...

Thanks. Can you share stock recovery.img, if you have it? I have recovery-verified.img from V05 but I don't know if there is a new update and if size is correct: 11,54MB. Your TWRP recovery has got a size of 14.24MB...
Can you make a small procedure on how to install it? Will help many nOOb's out.
And people need to report back issues and successes !!!! Again I see many questions and people with issues that we seniors try to help out with that end up in no more response which to me is not done and not helping others.
I have a 6GB version that I could test on but at the moment I am using it for other stuff and I can't risk bricking it this week.
Would finally love to start some stuff happening on this phone.
Ok in the process of doing so on my 6GB/64GB version.
edit : congratz I now have a 'phone' that can only go into TWRP . Should have never ever done this!
Says no OS installed ... really nice
Edit 2: after hours wasted was able to get your zipped rom on the Maze but I got no boot with that TWRP, so flashed recovery-verified.img from the 6GB rom from Alpha I had downloaded ... It would then start up but show 4GB out of 6GB. No good but at least all the rest seemed to work. All other effort to get it going back with the proper kernel etc resulted in frustration.
So now to flash the official rom back via their tool... that one got me really frustrated and was completely my fault that I couldn't figure it out. But you know angry, frustrated, must get it back to work, can do this ... After all these years of toying with phones we are so used to pressing 'power and vol+ or vol-' together to make something work. Now in the end I re-read the manual again and saw that you only have to push vol+ and NOT vol+ and power together or it wont go in the mode it should go to make it flash!!
In case this happens : The best advice I can give to people is to download the proper MTK drivers. Search for vcom drivers for MTK and you will find.
Print out the instructions and mark every step you do to the letter. The flashing itself only takes like 3 or 4 minutes

Haha I did the same exact thing..and managed to get it working after flashing it with the spflash tool but the trick is if you have Windows 10 latest version you won't be able to do this..at least I couldn't because of driver incompatibility so in my case:
1 I installed Windows 7 and installed mtk drivers for spflash tool
2.booted into twrp
2.1 if you can't boot into twrp or it doesn't turn on you can still try this
3.Start sp flash tool and download the zip the one(in case of trouble)that the moderator published
4. Load the scatter file and make sure that all of the files and the scatter are in the same folder.
5.click download and leave it like that
6.plug in your phone in fastboot if you can't try one of the following
6.1 just plug it in turned off and monitor spflash tool status
6.2 plug it in holding volume up key (just volume not power)
6.3 in twrp go to boot and boot into bootloader
And the tool should do the rest
If all else fails check the drivers one more time
After all that if you are feeling adventurous flash twrp one more time and do not factory reset through twrp ! Because that was the problem in my case and after you unlock bootloader boot your phone and go through the setup without setting the password because twrp will be locked.
Good luck.

Wait a sec., missing a couple of things here.
1) Do you have a 6GB ?
2) In case you have a 6GB did you manage to get it working, rooted and all?
Your point 6) well I flashed mine on the latest 64bit win10 ... but.... if the phone is off and you connect the usb cable my phone tried to boot up either in twrp with no com port. Also booting it in bootloader doesn't make the comport visible so you can't flash.
The only way to make mine visible for the flashtool was to press vol+ and then connect the usb cable.
Btw I am glad someone finally responds and spreads information. A very good post! Your first 'thanks' well deserved!
I wonder where the guys are that I was trying to help. Did they throw their phones away or something? Sharing is caring I thought.
I want to root mine to alter the camera settings and the media xml file. I find it strange that our sensor, which is the same as in my wife's Xiaomi's, takes seriously bad pictures.

Sorry forgot to mention I have a 4 GB version but since maze is not providing the roms on their website any further development will be limited..thank God for dreambo he is the only guy doing any work here and like you said nobody is responding to any questions asked..shame really because maze is a great phone with a terrible camera..which drivers did you use on Windows 10? because I tried a hundred of them and non of them recognize my phone..and in adb I can run the command fastboot reboot bootloader but after reboot none of the commands are working .

This is the filename I used on Windows 10 VCOM Drivers (All MTK Devices & All Windows OS version).zip I think I downloaded it from XDA somewhere.
Also something you must know https://www.howtogeek.com/167723/ho...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
Another thing I experienced is that one USB connector is not the other one on a pc. Always connect it to the ones directly on the main board next to the other device outputs like audio etc. and preferably not go through ones that have been extended via a cable like the ones on top of the casing or so. Also a must have application is usbdeview.
Well should be easy to get it going if you can boot it into 'fastboot' then you can try as much as you want to. But djeeeeezzzz the letters are very small when you boot it with a power+volume up . Also check that volume up will toggle between 'fastboot', 'recovery' and 'normal start' and volume minus will select it, not the power button which would be more logical to me.
I might have another go at trying to get it working on my 6GB but it involves having a lot of time and knowing that I will get frustrated. Installing all apps and settings is also a time consuming thing. Once you have TWRP on it it all becomes easy to backup. So many things to test or try.
Maybe dreambo has an idea on how to get mine up to a 6GB one as it is probably only indicated in the kernel.
Anyway I will continue to write down my progress.
Ok more frustration. Done multiple things to try to get this running. It's good to know that the original rom is easy to install again after practice.
Take 1: Try to install clean 6GB rom and immediately install TWRP.
Results: Dreambo forgot 1 step and that is to allow OEM unlock in the developer options. If you do the adb command to unlock press volume up and it will unlock (very hard to see, very small letters on the display in bootloader mode)
Well TWRP starts but immediately I get a message 'mount decrypt data password' which I tried a couple of things but no go. Also googled... different solutions but always ending in a bootloop to TWRP
A possible solution that I read was to create a startup pin .... no go 'pin not valid'
Take 2: Take all the rom files and change the scatter file with the one dreambo provided.... Thought it was successful but ended up with the same Chinese recovery. Trying to figure out why since the filename was correct like indicated in the scatter file. Came to the conclusion that the original file was/is called recovery-verified.img and not recovery.img. Really really strange this one as in the original scatter file it also points to recovery.img. So this one I will have to investigate. Renaming the TWRP file to recovery-verified.img lead to a error during the initial scan of the flashtool.
So moral of the story is that I am back on square 1 and lost 2 hours today (plus putting all apps and settings back) today.
I get a bit lost, is this TWRP method only working with the 6GB or also with the 4GB version?

There is no fundamental difference between 6G and 4G version.
It must works in boat versions.
If you have issues with SPFlashTool try this (no need to install any drivers on Windows 10) :
Put the preloader.bin (found in the rom package designed for SPFlashTool) in the same folder as the recovery.img without checking it the list of partitions (only recovery must be checked) and click on Download to flash the recovery, as usual.
Perhaps SPFlashTool cannot read by himself the preloader in the EMMC, and we must provide it.
The linux version of SPFlashTool not works at this moment, I do not know why
With the SPflashtool I always get the error:
ERROR:STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH (0xC0070004)
HINT

Hello
I had the same problem, (error BROM ERROR: STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH)
what I did: I use Windows 7 System
1- clear all drivers for smartphones with "usbdeview-2-17"
2- install Drivers "Drivers_Auto_Installer_v1.1236.00"
3- install "PdaNetA4170"
4- use "SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1708_Win" to flash the rom. first flash the preloader alone and then flash the others.
the problem was the bad installation of the drivers, after that everything went well for me.
try it can work for you too.
the mentioned software is easy to find on google

I only have the 6GB version of the Maze Alpha. But you wrote that the procedure should work for both versions. I think I wrote down what happened with mine if I installed TWRP.
I tried both the 'regular' flashing and then the full rom install with the trick to put the files in the directory and rename but both ended up as I've written in my previous post.

From times to times, I notice trouble with flashing using SPFlashTools.
First (when I post my first post relating of the root) I use the linux version : no issues it works perfect, no need of any drivers!
Actually, no way to have it working on linux, why I do not know!
I have tried Windows 10 and I notice that we have to provide the preloader to have it working, as I write in my post.
In theory, and only in theory, the SPFlashTool must works the same manner in any phone with a Mediatek SOC.
But in reality, we have notice that with exactly the same phone the flashing procedure works for some users and not for others!
SPFlashTool is a very capricious software, there is no warranty to have it 100% working in any platform, even with the same OS.

The thing is that I have no issue with flashing the software as I can perfectly flash the original rom. The problem is that when flashing the TWRP file, in both options by the way, so also via method 1, I get a boot loop.
Hi guys,
Hope it's ok if I start this thread, I just wanted to give new users some feedback before/ after unlocking and flashing an India ROM on my sealed China ROM K20 Pro (8/256). It might be useful to some, or maybe even help others. Thanks a lot to Robbo.5000, Madsponge and Hursty UK (hope I got it right?) among others for their help and advice.
- [BUYING PROCESS] My trip with the K20 Pro started here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/k2...ice-to-buy-t3939616/post79918346#post79918346 (about 18 days to get it from China during high season, not too bad I guess). (FYI, the real Global version will come out in Europe in a few weeks but the 8/256 won't be available here.)
- [UNLOCKING PROCESS] I then started the "infamous" unlocking process which triggered the even more "infamous" unlocking wait time. Why did Xiaomi choose to do that? Pretty strange if you ask me. Why should you wait 5 days or more? Anyways, in my case it was almost 6 days. That part of the process went smoothly (I run a kinda old Windows 7 PC). I rebooted the phone and it was unlocked indeed. Then started the stressful process: flashing a +400 euros phone without knowing if it would actually work. Kinda reminded of the time when we "backuped" PS1 (PSX) games, haha.
- [FLASHING PROCESS] I used the official MiFlash tool, with the official India ROM (fastboot file, .TGZ extension). First problem : MiFlash couldn't install the drivers because a /log/ folder was missing, which I had to create manually (didn't see that mentioned on the forum, but might be my OS? Oh well). The rest was OK until I launched the flashing process and hit the "clean all" button (I carefully didn't choose the clean all and lock which would have bricked the phone).
>> Link to the official India ROM Fastboot .TGZ -> http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.3.3.0....FKINXM_20190711.0000.00_9.0_in_a1c0a15dec.tgz
>> Link to the official MiFlash tool I used -> https://xiaomiflashtool.com/download/xiaomi-flash-tool-20181115
>> Use the official Xiaomi USB-C cable - do not try another USB cable
>> Important reminder: please change the default option in the flashing tool and DO NOT choose "clean all and lock". Change it to "clean all" only (you don't want to lock it as you might brick it - see posts below about this)
- [STRESSFUL REBOOT] The flashing process ran for about 10 minutes, said "error: Not catch checkpoint (\$fastboot -s .*lock)". Needless to say I was very stressed out at that point, especially with the not cool red message "error" on the right of the tool, in the column "result". I thought the phone was bricked...but no, it just rebooted normally with the India ROM on it. Honestly I don't know what happened, if it was normal or something but I didn't see anyone mentioning this.
Some feedback post flash: everything is fine, the phone seems even faster than on China ROM but it might be just an impression. I do not like the POCO launcher at all, when you're used for 4 years with the classic MIUI launcher it's honestly a pain, I like to see all installed apps on the home and next screens. I had an issue with my Mi Cloud backup (home screen): Mi Cloud said there was no backup even though I did one just before flashing. The rest of the sync process (except home screen - maybe because of POCO launcher?) was fine though: pics, notes, calls, messages, etc. Too bad we're missing NFC but it feels good to be back on "Global" (was coming from a Mi 8 Global phone). Oh yeah, missing the multiple shots option from the China ROM (where you can choose the "best" shot), but it will come to Global one day I guess.
- [MI CLOUD BACKUPS] I can confirm the Mi Cloud home screen backup issue described above is indeed because of the POCO launcher: my previous backups didn't have it (Mi 8 Global, K20 Pro China) and so Mi Cloud couldn't restore from those backups. I now have a POCO launcher backup (daily in Mi Cloud) and I can restore from those. So keep that in mind: if you come from non POCO you won't be able to restore home screen, but same thing if you move from POCO to a non POCO launcher. If you're not familiar with those backups, it's very practical (usually...) when you change phone because you just have to restore it and you'll have all your icons, apps and stuff like before.
[UPDATE] As you might know, a European Global version will be released in a few weeks, let's see if it has the POCO launcher or not.
Thanks again all for the help and let me know if you have more feedback.
Thank you for posting this - i am trying to get thru the steps too.
I too had Miflash tell me a file/folder was missing - after i created the /log folder it got past and said install was done (in chinese) and that log folder now has a txt matching what the window was searching for.
I tried pointing MiFlash to the folder with the ROM with a TGZ extension but it said 'couldn't find flash script'. After some reading apparently we have to extract it ? i did that ang got TAR - MiFlash still did not recognise and still gave me the same error message.
Any ideas?
Also, does it matter if Windows recognise the phone as a Phone? What's the USB connection type you set?

You need to fully unpack the ROM. It requires unzipping twice. You now need to extract everything from the tar file. After extracting the tar file you should have a folder with all the ROM image files and some .bat files. Point the Mi Flash Tool to this folder.
The phone needs to be booted into fastboot mode. The PC should recognise the phone automatically if it has all the correct drivers installed.
ive been using the indian rom for like 2-3 weeks now, my question is, does it support auto updater trough the updater? or we need to install back trough the mi flash tool
i failed multiple times to flash the global india rom before(using winzip to extract). and I tried again extract the files using winrar and it succeed. i'ved been using it almost 2 weeks now. the issue that i am facing is i cant use earphone mic on discord and whatsapp call. the rest is fine. for the updates, i get it from system app updater in settings.
OK - Managed to get the image folder recognised - the file path was too long - so i renamed it and moved it closer to where the miflash .exe was.
Now MiFlash is not detecting my device - when plugging in phone windows comes up with a 'USB device not recognised' message as well.
In Device Manager it says Unknown USB device (Invalid Configuration Descriptor) - I looked for Xiaomi usb drivers but Windows say i already have the best driver installed...
Any ideas?

I forgot to mention it, yes you do have to extract it (using WinRAR or similar) until you get an actual folder like Robbo.5000 said. I then renamed the rom's parent folder as "raphaelin" because another user mentioned we could have issues if the folder's name was too long.
About the USB connection i didnt change anything, i left it by default.

I'm guessing your phone is already in fastboot mode (with the little Mi cartoon guy)?
I installed ADB minimal, the MiFlash drivers but also ADB Lite drivers (mentioned in the big Madsponge thread where you can find the links). That might help.
In MiFlash when i hit Refresh it saw the phone as some ID like 1d23456 or something.
Just installed Qualcomm drivers - didn't help either...
set USB debugg mode - what was the USB connection type? if you remember - thanks in advance

I dont think there is an update since 10.3.3.0 but i guess we'll find out with the next OTA update. I read somewhere an automatic update might lock the phone back (and brick it) so i disabled them for now, until we know more...
Of course Chinese OTA was fine on the China ROM.

In fastboot mode you cant change it on the phone if i remember, and its set automatically in file transfer mode i think.
Yes I installed those drivers too. I might try a different laptop and usb cable tonight.
Thank you so far for your help.
FYI i used the USB cable shipped with the phone. As for the laptop, is its OS up to date? I installed the latest Windows update before the flashing process.
Hope its gonna work!

I own the Indian variant, stock rom, bootloader unlocked and rooted. Widevine L1 is still present.
So, I am curious. When you flashed the Indian ROM, did your Widevine level changed from L3 to L1?
If you didn't check, if you don't mind, please install "DRM Info" from playstore and let me know!
I am trying to find whether the Widevine is implemented based on Stock ROM level or its just at device variant level. Thanks in advance!

Thanks mate. Just one more thing. Could you play "Test Patterns" - S1:E1 video, zoomed out for 2 mins, in Netflix app?
It will initially show "960x540" (right top corner of the screen in zoomed out mode), but after 2 mins, does it change to "1280x720" or still stays at "960x540"??
Again, thanks in advance!
Ok it was the USB cable - device was detected on original USB cable.
Flashed - BUT i made a mistake and had it default to Clean all and Lock !!! ugh...
Flash went thru - but now i am in some thing called Redmi-Recovery 3.0. Red message say "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device."
I can still get into Fastboot and MiFlash can still detect the device - Upon trying to reflash again MiFlash gives error 'Erase Boot Error'
So i think i am F-ed....
Any advice, anyone?
I think its only "soft bricked". Another user had a similar issue and created a thread below. Experts here will be able to help you for sure. If its locked i believe you have to reinstall the China stock ROM.
About Netflix it stays on 960, so no HD i guess...

Just download the china latest stock rom or china latest dev rom (recovery rom will be enough), no need of mi flash.
Then go to this link and follow the instructions. Since you can access the recovery, you are fine mate.
PS: Use the latest official Mi Assistant app from the MIUI site, not the one given in the link above. But the steps are the same.
Thanks guys I will try. Really worried that phone doesn’t shut down it keeps going into recovery (doesn’t power off) and charging doesn’t seem to work in all these conditions.
Will work quickly

Hi everyone. As I said on a former post, I have an Alcatel 1t 7 tablet; I need its stock recovery image, but even stock firmware is getting impossible to find. I mean, apparently there are firmware for that reference of tablet, but what happens, is that there are several models that share the same physical appearance, but have different hardware, so, they have different firmware, and by that reason, their firmware don't work for my tablet. Anyway...
The fact is, looking that its original firmware is not available on the internet, at least publicly; I'm trying to reflash my tablet by using alcatel's tool called "Alcatel Mobile Upgrade", a tool that I don't guess, would be unknown for many of you. So as I said, I'm trying to reflash it with it (and in the process, restore stock recovery, I hope). So I installed MTK drivers, installed the version recommended for this tablet, followed program's instructions, but when I reach step 2 of 4, the program warns me saying this: "Read terminal information failed. Unplug device, remove the device battery and plug it again - Repeat step 2 and try again".
The issue is, that its battery is internal, not removable; even, is soldered to the board. And I must add, that at first, when I bought this tablet and began to "experiment" with it, I was using SP flash tool, and it was giving me almost the same warning that Alcatel mobile upgrade, but later I discovered what that was a fail of the used sp flash tool version. On a webpage, someone recommended a specific version of sp flash tool to fix that issue; I mean, that I could download firmware to the device without having to "unplug battery"; and It worked.
So first ¿How can upgrade my tablet by using that program?¿What am I doing wrong?¿ Which device must appear under device manager, to it can work?¿mtk usb port, Mediatek DA usb VCOM, Android preloader, or which one? And second, ¿Could be this problem, due to alcatel's mobile upgrade version?
let battery drain to make sure device is powered off. you only have preloader mode for a second - within this time pick up in device manager and install preloader drivers.
if drivers installed correctly, first start flashing, then connect phone. flash tool will keep device in preloader mode for the flashing time period

Thank you for replying. Definitely using Alcatel mobile upgrade is not an option, at least to me. I mean, I couldn't make it work in any way. "Fortunately", after an exhaustive search, I could find a post on internet, that recommended for a similar issue, to use Sugar MTK; the publisher shared this program and its credentials, for can use it . So I downloaded and used it, and I could restore my original stock. Now my issue is to port it to TWRP, but now I'm gonna to write a new post about it.

Hi, I'm new to the forums.
Back to July 2020, I tried to install custom ROM for my Redmi Cactus and it has no problem until I wipe the data from TWRP and install the custom ROM but failed, I couldn't remember why. And now the phone is dead, it won't boot, no vibration what so ever, when I charge it the LED turns on but when I plug it to PC it won't detect the phone, no sound and nothing in Device Manager even though I have the MTK driver installed on my PC. I've read this thread and couldn't understand the first step as it says "Open REV4 Bypass tool, off your phone. Click BYPASS Connect phone to PC and Turn ON your phone." but I can't turn on my phone. Also on Step 2 which is the SP Flash Tool thing, it says "Open SPFLASHTOOL choose in Download-Agent No_Auth.bin" but on my SP Flash Tool archive I can't find No_Auth.bin, is it somewhere from third-party or from the firmware itself? Currently I'm downloading the firmware and will try to flash it using SP Flash Tool to see if it works. Any help with this?

Follow this https://www.droidwin.com/unbrick-realme-6-6i-6s-sp-flash-tool/, of course, skip to download and flash the files that are for the other model, instead, replace from your phone's files.
The whole idea, is that you have to install the LibUSB drivers, so your device get recognized and can bypass the DA/SLAA restrictions for BROM mode, in MediaTek devices. When you can bypass it, then you can flash the proper firmware for your device, you don't need to power on your device for that, as your device is bricked...
Hi, sorry it took me so long to reply, the phone is finally fixed thanks to your guide! How can I make this thread or your post as a solution?
