Oreo or Pie - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

I've lineage 14.1 with radon kernel for about a year now.. Everything is fine so i didn't move to oreo or pie and haven't visited this thread for about a year.. So i would like to know if i should move to oreo or pie? I need good performance and battery.. I can sacrifice a bit of performance for battery as i don't play pubg.. Most of all i need stability as i can't flash roms frequently.. I'm can live with Oreo or pie either way.. Just a good suggestion will be fine..

Go for pie
Pixels experience is very stable and battery management also good if u are not playing pubg then this rom for u,im sure u will stay on pixel experience if u try,use custom kernel for tweaks
I know u already using on lineage os with custom kernel so just flash and see how is it
If u wanna go for oreo then don't
Stay on lineage

Don't ever flash pixel experience..lots of bugs. Go for arrow os pie. But update only once a month for better rom stability. Super smooth rom with awesome sounds and graphics..You won't regret it.

Arrow Os and Btlg rom have Good battery. But u cant disable or hide QS panel on lockscreen on both rom.
I prefer MSM-xtended rom better then havoc. More stable.

Havoc got bootanimation bug. U may get stuck on boot for like 5 min. Then need to flash pixel bootanimation which will replace ur mi logo. So right now avoiding latest havoc build is better. Plus it has other havoc bugs. Also havoc animation is creepy.
bootlegger rom has best animation.but Both arrow and bootlegger sucks. Options are not properly organised. Most creepy thing is u cant hide QS tiles on lockscreen on both roms. No security.
Aosp extended is also good battery life. But just first build is released. Lots of bugs.
Msm xtended has more customisation than havoc but also msm more polished and responsive then havoc.
Havoc lags sometime..
I like havoc and msm both coz both dont give u browser, email app.u can choose it for u . Less bloat.
So Msm xtended overall best so far. No complains.

Thanks for your helpful comment . I hate having to move between ROMs. So I need an end users experience to move to a ROM permanently.

Better PIXEL ROM for kenzo

I would like to know a list of ROMs which have a lot of customizations but doesnt have DUI customizations(fling, smartbar, pulse etc)
Nitrogen,ressurection remix have these customizations.
I just want to collect info for a better Pixel rom base.
Tell me a rom name, give me a link to rom and tell me why is it better than lineage14.1 os
YOUR SUGGESTION IS MUCH APPRECIATED. :fingers-crossed:

The best ROM in my opinion is Slim 7 by Umang96 and the Radon Kernel by him along with it.
It's better than LineageOS because it is based on AOSP, doesn't have unnecessary customizations, has amazing battery life and offers a very fluid user experience like the Pixel phone.
It would be amazing if you built a Pixel ROM based on Slim which had Pixel apps, and the Radon Kernel for much improved performance.
Would be great to that there was a nexus experiencing but with nougat and otas
Please dont suggest a rom which has navbar customization
Dont even bother... There are many ROMs out there already, it doesnt make sense to make a new one with pixel animations...
Who wants it...will find a way.
If you really want to, then do a flashable zip that will apply for Lineage or Nitrogen since people use that mostly

Lots of customizations, stable, battery life excellent, development with pixel features will make this an absolutely complete rom.
Edit: this has navbar customizations, sorry...

Best Nougat ROM for Condor

It's been 5 or 6 months since our little beast got the Nougat update thanks to our developers who are doing amazing job with our 3 year old device.
I want to know Is there any Nougat ROM which is absolutely stable, and with great battery life like MM ROMs.
Since Xposed for Nougat is not ready at the moment, Greenify and Amplify are not that effective. I am not a flasholic who try every ROM so plz suggest me the absolute best one of them you use. It will also help many other users who want a stable Nougat ROM.
PS: I have tried CM14.1 , RR 5.8.0
Now back to RR 5.7.4 MM

Every ROM is not perfect. I will only be able to suggest you according to your priority.
If you need best battery life & performance then try Cardinal, Aoscp, DU, Aosp-CAF
If you want decent battery life & performance with lots of customization then try RR (by anderson), AEX and LOS (it will give you a better performance but you won't get Theme support).

Cardinal was the best MM ROM I've used in terms of battery and stability but is not for Nougat yet.
I just want a stable ROM with everything working fine(including ROOT) and good battery life( upto 5 hours of SOT) and can be used for a like long time.

Cardinal will be back soon. You can try Citrus ROM made by the same team. Be aware you won't get updates soon. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120712605
I would suggest you to go for DU or AOSCP both are great.
The latest DU rom is https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862719486
And for aoscp wait as within a week you will get updated v3.6.2 on their official site.

Are oreos really smooth?

Hi everyone! I'm a nougat user for long long time. I tried oreo ROMs too but haven't used them for more than 2 days because they all of them are not smooth like nougat(and I'm using RR N) and all oreo ROMs lags for me. Today I tried lineage os by galactic stryder and it was lagging too. But this time I had not made the clean install. I just made backup of my current RR and flashed ROM, seen lags on ROM and restored RR. I had made clean install 3-4 times month ago of AICP, RR and AOSIP oreo ROMs but they were lagging too. Do you guys know any solution for this problem or oreo is a bff of lags? I have seen oreo ROM running on devices like redmi note 4 and all of them fly then why our device do not have smooth oreo?
Oh wow! I just flashed RR O official over RR N official Final version. It's a dirty flash. Data is not cleaned. And for the first time I'm using smooth oreo. Scrolling great, notification panel is great, recent panel is great. However ROM is not smooth while using it after clean flash. But if you know any other solution so i can use any other oreo ROM without lags

Try AICP, it runs great on my LeMax2 (X820)
Try Lineage 15.1, official or my builds. It's smooth and fast.

New on pocophone f1

So i just received my new device and i was habituated to Samsung's and I'm a lil bit confused so i'm going to unlock my bootloader (i think that's the first step) than i want to know if there is difference between OEM ROM and other ones can you advice me about best ROM/Kernel ? And what about updates
OEM unlock? As in specific please? And then I am currently using Franco kernel which is easily the best kernel around, and coming to performance of a ROM, THUMBS UP to nitrogen OS and lineage OS, and if you happen to someone who prefers pure stock experience go for pixel experience ROM, and then if you wish to have some tweak in a pixel ROM, go for HAVOC ROM which is as same as pixel's stock OS with customisation

Lineage OS is no stock, has options for you to customise, where as pixel experience is a pure stock ROM, just like a pixel 2 on Poco F1 with better hardware of course

You can try xiaomi.eu stable
TWRP
miui ms?
now thats a very tough question!
if i have to choose betweing custom roms, I would go for either CRDROID and/or HAVOC ! (on Optimus Drunk Kernel)

you can try xiaomi eu stable if you like miui or Revolution OS, if you want an AOSP rom you could try LOS, crdroid or pixel experience, even NOS is a good option to try
There's also a few oos ports around, however the question you're asking here is like going to Philadelphia and asking who makes the best Philly steak sub... You kind of have to try them until you find what you really like. There is some really great development for this phone and it's pretty much up to what you want in a ROM
miui ms
Should state what your criteria is? If it's gaming I feel Nos and miui Stable are still the best. I find both equally good.
Nos does have better customisation options, but I have had trouble while updating it from time to time.

iOS 11
My personal favourite combo is Xiaomi.eu, Arter Kernel, F2FS and Chrysalis thermal mod set to Performance.
