My fingerprint scanner works just fine in official Miui. I unlocked the bootloader(unofficially), using cofface twrp. Currently on AOSCP 3.1 with agni kernel and have no option to turn on fps. Doesn't recognize it when i press it or anything. I've looked in all the folders and name files they said to look in and it all points to me having FPC fingerprint scanner as far as I can tell. I'm not a noob when it comes to flashing custom roms have been doing it since I got the first htc dream back in '09. I've tried other roms and kernals with no avail. It seems that since unlocking the bootloader and rooting I've lost access to my fps... I've never had it working on a custom rom at all. Please help with some possible solutions to this problem!
You may have a goodix, check the ROM threads for the goodix patch, and you may also need a kernel that supports it (agni works for most)
tried the goodix fix with agni kernel.. No luck.
to check for sure what sensor you have just install "AIDA64" - open "Devices" and check under "Fingerprint Scanner" your model.
I have the FPC102x and had the same problem under CM custom ROMs so went back to Miui...
AIDA64 says FPC102x. So are we burnt on the fps working at all on custom roms?
Hello everyone,
I just want to know if we have a new OREO based ROM which can run my VOLTE exactly like MIUI EU and regular MIUI roms.
my internet works just fine while using MIUI roms, either Eu version or regular miui both works fine.
I just need some Custom rom which supports FORCE CLOSE feature using Hold Back button.
Every Lineage based ROM does have the Force Close option (WIthin Smart Bar Edit Mode)
Unfortunately, it never works.
Im hoping they release a custom rom with everything working. A stable internet and a Force Close option (Smart Bar Edit Mode)

Workaround: Use the ROMs with the fix included.
Status: Fix is released.
Severity: Medium
Affected ROMs: Some old ROMs
Please Also paste Fixes and links in front of each line if available.
I just tried AEX 9.0 and Pixel Exp. 9.0 and only major bug is Video recording that can be fixed via Footej or open camera,
And fingerprint gestures that is still under fixation.
If we deactivate Pick up in Ambient display than Hand wave Ambient display works
Much less bugs only in Pixel Experience Pie..

I've obviously done that. GCam requires HAL3 to be enabled to work at all... AFAIK Video doesn't work at all for some apps in Pie.

Pixel Experience is showing Rapid charging and all other ROMs showing slow charging with normal charger,.
and i have noted down time with normal charger Pixel Experience is charging very fast.
Boot leggers, Arrow os, AEX, CrDroid all showing slow charging. i still do not know the reason why only Pixel Experience is showing "Rapid Charging" :silly:
Edit: in My opinion Arrow OS and CrDroid are very good builds, but because of slow charging i went back to Pixel Experience.
I have Devices same model and in both same results, one device is for testing and one in my use.
I am unable to get that Fingerprint scanner when i install any Oreo custom ROM, but at Pie Custom ROMs it is working very well, Any clue that how to activate that.
I found a downgrade zip tp flash after ROM and whenever i flash my phone go to Bootloop, and than i back to Recover and i am unable to mount any Firmware,... Than i have to flash stock Oreo by Fastboot to get alive.

Oreo ROMs require Nougat fingerprint firmware. You should flash the firmware through Fastboot, not TWRP.

You mean i have to flash complete Nougat Stock ROM before flashing Oreo custom?
I do not Understand why people spread wrong fixes on Forums if there is only fix to switch from Stock Nougat to Custom Oreo and Stock Oreo to Custom Pie...
Dear All please do not consider any Fingerprint fix via TWRP, just follow the stock procedure.. Thank you @JarlPenguin

Follow the instructions inside the ZIP. No need to flash Nougat stock again or else you will get a hard brick.

@JarlPenguin I have tested and created a guide to fix the Fingerprint at Oreo and PIE Custom ROMs as there was no guide anywhere, to ease the people, thank you for the guide and files, you can add link in Post#1 if you want.

Yes, but you need to flash Oreo firmware to be able to have fp on Pie ROMs.
Updated guide again with link.

I have added Oreo stock files for PIE ROMs And tested these are working well, No need to flash Stock Oreo, just to use attached zip and flash via fastboot and it's working.
Due to the Android Go 8.1 version of this device being Project Treble compatible, we are able to use Generic System Images to run custom roms on this device (has to be BNTV460). This thread will be an information place for GSI's on this device. This is currently the only method of getting custom roms on this device, so read on if you are interested.
Quick notes:
-This device is not perfectly compatible with GSIs, there may be small issues
-The GSIs used MUST be system-arm-aonly variants
I will post a guide once I get more time.
What works and what doesn't:
I have tried both aosp and lineage variants of GSIs on this device, here are my results.
-Lineage GSI 15.1: The screen and touchscreen were both inverted. I didn't test it further because it was too frustrating.
-Aosp 9.0 pie (vanilla, no gapps): Wifi works, touchscreen is fine. Seems to work perfectly. It charges, The back camera works in the camera app (I don't know if the front one works because I can't figure out how to switch camera's in the camera app)
-Aosp 9.0 Pie (with gapps): Same as without gapps, but you get a warning about the device not being Google Certified which I couldn't get past
I have an problem with sensors and camera.
Firstly im in aix(Stock Pie Mod rom) all going well, then want to try Q roms (LOS 17) and all works fine
But after i back to aix pie rom my sensor n camera not work, i flash selinux permissive kernel patcher its work but android webview not work and i cant sign to google account,
And this always happen after i flashing pie rom, i must flash this patch after installing rom for working sensors and camera. But no work for webview and google account
Why this happen? Are this can back to first condition? Or Q roms changed my phone permanently?
(Closed, try to flash nougat then to pie)
Thanks and sorry for my bad english
