Stuck on Boot (,even after Flashing official ROM (Note 4x) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

I have a Redmi Note 4x (Global) SnapDragon, 3GB/32GB, stable ROM . I have never rooted it, or modified anything from the system, just left it untocuched as it came from the factory. I have updated it accordingly whenever the system requested me to do so (last update about a month or two ago). I have bought and been using this phone for about 5 months. Right now is has MIUI 10 OS.
In these 5 months about 4 times it has got stuck at boot with the MI logo and nothing else. After hours, the only way to come back to the system is letting it run out of batteries and start to the system normally. I became less and less successful to reach the system, but when I did I was able to start the unlock process permission. I guess I was lucky as before it would allow to go the system after several tries, but only allowed me once again, and then it get stuck on boot loop with the MI logo permanently.
After 66 hours I successfully finished the unlock process, I restarted to Fastboot mode and was able (with the latest MiFlash) to install the corresponding Official ROM and reported successful. However after restart it keeps on getting stuck at boot logo.
I don't really get how successfully flashing the Official ROM does not bring the cell as its original state.
Any suggestions?
PS: If I can avoid the TWRP route, I'd rather do as it would cancdel my warranty. Hopefully there is another way out, if there is not a way out the TWRP route, then I'd appreciate if someone could point me to a TWRP installation guide compatible with my current device (RN4X Snapdragon stuck on boot, with no access to the OS, but with Bootloader unlocked)

Bricked Honor 9 STF-AL00!

Hi folks,
I see this is an extremely long thread, but I would really appreciate it if you could read it through and give a tip or two.Any help is greatly appreciated!
I just bricked an Honor 9,now I have access to fastboot(be able to flash) and recovery(TWRP or stock both OK),but I don't have ERecovery, when trying to go to EREC I stuck into a "ERROR MODE,ATTENTION!PLEASE UPDATE SYSTEM AGAIN" page, with warnings either about boot or recovery in red.I can go into fastboot with USB connected and the key-combo.Both TWRP and fastboot can flawlessly flash anything,I tried ways flashing system and oeminfo but when I boot system I either go into error mode or it first shows a Google logo splash screen(where it should be Honor Powered by Android) then a flowing Android logo(where it should be a Honor logo),and afterwards it reboots to error mode.
Below is my bricking procedure:crying:
I had STF-AL00B201 (EMUI 5.1) with Magisk root and system-less xposed before. Then I saw RR 6.0.0 and can't help wanting to flash it.First I used full package 8.0.0.336 to OTA then went into fastboot to flash.Surprisingly any command except fastboot reboot will not do.Then I updated to Test build B338 to encounter the same issue.
Code:
fastboot erase data
remote:command not allowed
fastboot flash system system.img
remote:sparse flash write failure
It seems as if there is a hidden FRP lock inside. But in Developer Option there is no OEM Unlock.I believed this is true, for:
1) @fl0wfr told me Chinese B321 has OEM Unlock Option.Since previous builds have it,the newer builds might still have it.
2)EMUI 8 includes Google Services, which is useless in China.
So I followed the advice someone told me on Huafans here
http://cn.ui.vmall.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=15241915&page=1&authorid=7879103:Flash STF-L09B360 via FF.After I tried I booted up with a somehow merged system(I did factory reset before boot).Apps like Swipe keyboard and Chrome came up but some Chinese Apps like Huawei Browser is missing.Still I saw the version number unchanged.
Then I was too shocked to do a correct action.I remember using HiSuite to rollback to STF-AL00B201 then I got a broken build number(EMUI 8 Android 7.0) and a broken model(STF).Then I was foolish enough to try the HWOTA re-brand method. When it comes to flashing the B120 files I saw the “update not found“ error on phone. Then it ends up with ERROR MODE.
Here is what I tried to save my phone:
Flashing firmware inside fastboot(succeed but no effect)
Restoring backuped boot in TWRP(it goes to Honor logo but went to error mode before the animation ended.)
Tried to flash oeminfo(and I got the Google and Android mention ed before.)
I haven't tried the full-firmware(two update.app) because I haven't got a SD card as big as 8 GB.But I tried the smaller file,it turned on with Honor splash screen but changed to Google instantly.
I have a unlocked bootloader, and in China it means my warranty is void.I am really desperate.
Thanks in advance.
Can it be a physically damaged memory or just a messed-up one?Even if I should go to the support this will prevent me from being cheated...Thanks
Finally got it fixed today, without paying a cent:highfive:Now on 8.0.0.341 with face unlock!
Short:Use HiSuite's system repair function.
Long:To be updated later due to lack of time now

After Root and LinageOS 15 installation, stuck in eRecovers

Hi all, I am stuck.
I got my Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L29) and wanted to install LinageOS 15. I followed the guide here, rooting and everything went fine. I installed LinageOS 15, the most current build then, via fastboot flash system systemXXX.img. The process went well, the phone rebooted. But since then its stuck in eRecovery Mode. It offered me the "factory wipe" option on the first time, since then I get the options of Rescue (which times out or can't find the files), Shutdown and reboot. It also shows a "this device is not to be trusted" splashscreen during boot, including a link that leads to a 404 on the EMUI-OS-Site. Sorry if that has been asked already i did not find much regarding eRecovery.
I managed to install TWRP, but strangely it still boots into eRecovery. I can force it to boot into TWRP, but it simply will not switch away from eRecovery.
So, what are my options?
1) wait and see, try new versions of LinageOS.
2) use the firmware finder to get the original firmware (any pointers about which one? I'd go for the earliest 8.0 for the BLA-L29?) But how can I get it to the phone since its not an image and the phone does not have a SD-Card? Can I mount it via USB?
3) Get rid of eRecovery or force a switch to TWRP - is that doable?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did a lot of custom firmware back when I had the first Desire, but since then I used Blackberry or other, non-rooted devices. I want my control over my OS back.
Thank you in advance, let me know if you need any more information.
Ok, if anyone else needs help:
This helped me, I got back to the Mate 10 Pro Stock ROM

Important: after flashing, you need to remove the USB-cable, otherwise it will just boot into recovery

[Q] Honor 9 - Unable to get a ROM installed at all

Hi all,
I've long since stopped messing with custom ROMs as software has, largely, been quite good from the get-go on newer devices.
I tried playing around with my Honor 9 a few days back and I've managed to royally screw it up it seems - help is required
Here's where I am right now:
When I boot the phone I get a "Google" splash screen followed by the warning that my device is unlocked.
It then loops around again, shows the same splash screen and warning, but dumps me into eRecovery
I've tried flashing numerous TWRP images via bootlader/fastboot, but cannot ENTER any of them
I've tried flashing a number of Custom ROMs using the bootloader/fastboot, but again, I end up in the same position, dumped into eRecovery.
What am I missing here? I've tried stock kernels and custom ones, stock firmware and custom firmware, as well as TWRP. All to no avail currently.
I've long since left my fiddling days behind and as such I'm struggling here. The only good news is I can get into fastboot at will (bootloader unlocked and FRP unlock)
Any ideas? Please be kind
So, after writing this and 3 hours of fiddling myself, I finally managed to get into a custom recovery and used the HuUpdater to get back to a stock image (I think, just setting it up now).
Please delete

Flashing twrp on mi redmi 6a

This' probably not the right place to post this, but since i don't have enough post count to post in the right place please bear with me. I've been trying to flash TWRP on my Redmi 6A and got somewhere but not the happy ending I expected. It is a Redmi 6A running Android 8.1.0 O11019, security patch level 2018-10-01, MIUI 10.0.12.0(OCBMIFH), MODEL M1804C3CG, Kernel V4.9.77+, 16 GB, 2GB ram. I unlocked the bootloader, i flashed twrp.cactus(unoficial) using ADB and what was successfull. But when it came to rebooting into my custom recovery, i couldn't. From bootloader, i pressed vol+, vol- & power buttons, screen goes off, vibrates twices and back to bootloader. I also tried again and this time when screen went off, i released the power button, vibrated once and back to bootloader. I tried releasing all buttons when the screen goes off, and turns on the MI logo, and boots to system but takes a little longer than usual which probably means it tries to boot to TWRP but fails and reboots to system.
I tried using the Redmi 6A toolkit, flashing was successful, but the CATASTROPHE above happens all the same. The devices hasn't been corrupted in anyway by the processes.
I know this is long, and the wrong place but I beg for help. I once rooted an Android K, and man!! it was addicting, so guys please help
i also have experienced the same strange behavoiur first, until I get the trick - from phone off, press exactly Power+VolUp, hold until MILogo appears and release. Now wait, be patient, about 20 secs while screen should be black, then push the power button, TWRP should now appear...
From phone off, power+volDown goes to bootloader.
Be sure to have the latest TWRP 3.2.3.2 - earlier versions have trouble with encrypted data partition.
good luck!
Thanks bro, worked for me
a little problem, asked for password which i don't have
tried enabling adb sideload failed
data wipe failed

Click to collapse
that's because data partition is encrypted. Some people in a MIUI forum claim that login password works - but I had'nt any success. Therefore it remains only to format.
I guess you want to flash some custom rom?
I managed to work around the encryption by flashing magisk, and disable force encryption
got a problem though, i must have unintentionally tempered with the nvram, so imei information was lost
and yes i would want to to flash android pie roms when all my troubles are done
hope you could leave me some links
i'am sorry, i dont know about a pie port for the 6a at the moment, probably in the near future I think because its a very popular phone...
i was trying to flash GSI lineageos 15.1, but ended always in boot loop - altough a guy here was successfull. However, the rom does not have full functionality. So i gave up and will wait for the dedicated version. Rooting with magisk wasnt a problem and so i've been able to install adaway, titanium etc... for the moment its ok for me
thanks bro
My mi 6a in beta rom .it was flashing but not boot into twrp mode .plz help

Xiaomi mi 10 5g Bootloop

Hello,
1 week ago i was using my xiaomi mi 10 , and of all a sudden it crashed.
since then it is stuck in a bootloop.
The phone was stock, bootloader still locked. i tried to restart with the recovery and in safe mode with no luck. I tried to reboot it via fastboot continue and still no luck.
I replaced the battery and the volume and power on buttons (sometimes they cause shortage).
But still the phone can't boot properly.
Now i know the obvious thing to do is a complete wipe, but there is some data on the phone that i would like to save.
I tried installing the chinese version of mi pc suite, but i can't really do much from there, since my phone is updated to the V13.0.6.0.SJBEUXM, last european version. I was hoping that by updating it i could make it work.
I ask you guys if you know anything that can help me, i cannot install any recovery because the bootloader is still locked, and by unlocking it i will lose all data.
Thank you in advance.
