about eMMc - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My device is dead again but this time it's lg hardware problem
now im trying to flash files with qfil but got this error :
FireHose Log: Storage device of type 'MMC' cannot be opened
is that mean my phone's memory is damaged ?
is there any way to check via usb without box or dongle ?
side-note: i reballed my phone's ram

If there'a CPU or RAM problem, you can't access the EMMC too.

lg volt Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008

does anyone have a method to unbrick lg volt in dead state with usb "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008"? I have the tot file for it and have tried BoardDiag3.99c with MSM8926 but it does not work.
Same issue here, I haven't found anything yet to fix it. Any help would be appreciated
solution
I was able to solve the problem after a long time of not been able to find a working MSM8926 flash programmer and 8926_msimage.mbn files for the phone. I post the solution here in case someone needs it. The process is below.
I use an identical working lg volt phone and extract the whole /dev/block/mmcblk0 partition of 8GB (ref http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818321) of the phone to an image file and then write the image to a 8GB microsd card using Win32DiskImager. Put the microsd card back to the phone and plug it into the usb port of my computer (need to include the battery in the phone) are enough to make the phone appear as "Qualcomm MMC Storage USB device." From there, I use MiniTool Partition Wizard to delete all existing partitions, format it temporarily as a fat32 usb device to assign a drive letter to it, and then use Win32DiskImager to write the 8GB image file of the working phone to it. When done, I'm able to revive the phone and boot it up to download mode by pressing the up volume key and hooking up the usb cable. In the download mode, I use the usual LG flash tool and the .TOT file to restore the phone.
Note: below is the image file which I use Ubuntu to format the /system, /data partitions, it still works as I test it again with the phone.

Can you share your backup of /dev/block/mmcblk0 partition. Thanks

help needed

hello fellas!
i am having a serious issue with my novo 8 quadcore dicover tablet.
recently I flash my tablet to custom firmware with TWRP with the help of action PAD tool ... everything was perfect before and after flashing although I am using it with the custom firmware/rom. I connected it to pc and transfer some data to it.
at the same time my personal usb was also connected to my pc...i accidently formatted the removable storage of my tablet to fat32 filesystem instead of formating my usb drive using windows xp....
i am still having some issues with this custom rom so taht's why i decided to reflash my tablet back to its stock rom but unfornately an unknow issue come up in action pad tool that is DOWNLOAD_VMLX1_FAILED and now it stucked at 26% with the mentioned error...
few questions I really need to ask:
1.why this Download_vmlx1_failed occur on action pad tool whenever I try to flash my tablet?
2.what is the by default filesystem of internal sd card?
3.How could I flash my tablet back to its stock rom?
4.How to format internal storage using TWRP
and one more thing i.e. once I formatted my internal storage to fat32 then I lost access to my internal storage it says blank sd card unknown file system
and also unable to format
please help me..........

USB / OTG / Fastboot Not Mounting

Hi all,
I've bought Le Max 2, which supposedly failed during OTA Update, and bootlooped. What I got, is totally Bricked phone with TWRP 3.0.2, which was already installed, when the phone arrived.
This would be no problem for me if the device mounted at least once. I am a native linux user, so the drivers were never an issue for me. However Windows 10 also doesn't detect the device in any mode (TWRP -> Mount, fastboot, ADB Sideload). It shows however "The device cannot be recognized" notification. In the device manager the phone is shown as "Unknown device (device descriptor cannot be read)". The Linux Mint 18.1 does not detect it at all.
I've also tried to copy the ROM on Vfat and ExFat formatted pendrive, but the pendrive's diode doesn't even flash once, so I doubt TWRP doesn't mount it due to wrong filesystem type.
I would suspect damaged USB-C port, but the device charges normally.
I've also noticed, that the system partition is formatted.
Another curiosity: when I try to mount /data from TWPR->Advanced->Terminal, it returns an error: device or resource busy - always. If I try to mount /system, it does it.
What do You think? Would it charge, if only one pin in the USB-C was damaged? That's my best guess. Or maybe is it software-related? Somebody deleted too many things from partitions?
I just do not want to buy new bottom board, and change it only to find out, that I didn't know something about this phone (Yaay! It's first LeEco in my mobile service! ).
It appears, that the bottom board / usb charging board was damaged. After replacing the device mounts as expected.
resolved it by flashing the cuocos fastboot rom and after that power off the device and attach the usb otg...and ur done this worked for me i hope it also work for you

How do I check if internal storage is damaged via ADB ?

I've been using LineageOS on my phone for months without issues, until yesterday when I got an error message at boot: "Can't load Android system. Your data may be corrupt", etc. In the end I had to format and reinstall everything, but I'm worried that the internal flash memory could be getting defective or something.
Is there a way to check if there are "bad blocks" with the internal storage? (I mean physical issues, not the filesystem, like chkdsk or smart for hdds)
My phone is not rooted, so I've tried booting into recovery and launching adb shell, but I don't know how to proceed from there. Any help would be appreciated.
There is no way? with adb or with any other method?
