Hi again,
my problem is as followed,
Recently rooted my Galaxy N7000 and replaced firmware with IMilkas ICS Tablet version.
Now my problem is I want to get rid of it yet the USB is not recognized by my Windows computer.
I am unable to use Mobile Odin as it will crash instantly also unable to use Odin via PC due to my phone not being recognized.
So any help would be great !

FIXED
I downloaded via the app store an app called "Airdroid" which allows you to move files from your pc to your phone whilst both devices share the same Network!
Moved a new Rom onto my phone and rebooted it into Recovery mode
> Install Zip from SDcard located my main file and installed it.
applied the update the same way, after restarting ,it threw a bunch of random error messaged around so I used the app CWM which comes with the ROM
option : FLASH KERNEL
located same rom as before and installed it with CWM followed by a reboot I used the option Flash Update in CWM and updated Griskelo Rom .
SO thank god it worked no error messaged and my USB works again so Odin can get back to work
Most likely there is a much easier way but this is what I figured out myself and as this forum says before you sign up... You are a noob any ways !
lol
hope I helped somebody with this and hope someone else posts the easier way beneath this
Hello, i just recently purchased an Allview P5 smartphone, it's really cost efficient but recently i started getting some problems because the phone is not rooted and i was wondering how to root the android 4.04. i tried the superoneclick 2.3.3 and installed adb and something from java, bu when i rung the program superoneclick the program just freezes and it's not responding. any suggestions or guides that i should follow?
best regards
Chris
Try root for HaiPai I9220. For me it works.
Having the same problem here, Superoneclick freezes on step 7 iirc.
HaiPai didn't work for me either
So that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923764
There you will find this: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?othd1gf76pa97zg
It is 100% functional, but need more knowledge and skill.
Ok, I came a lot further this time, but still stuck.
As soon as I let Cygwin `patch` the recovery.img, it does the patching and stuff, but it doesn´t create a new recovery.img for some reason..
If you check page 13 of that PDF manual: I get all the same messages in Cygwin, except for that "Repacking" bit.
Any Idea why it isn't repacking?
Losing my nerves a bit because of Cygwin, what a horrible program to get to work properly. Installation went on beyond 100%, till about 2000% and then just started to count further in negatives >____<
You must have installed 7-zip archive program.
SuperOneClick should work for this device. You may try this:
1) unmount the sd-card, turn ON usb-debugging
2) turn OFF usb-debugging
3) connect device to PC
4) click "Root"
5) when "Waiting for Device" appear turn ON usb-debugging
6) when "Starting ADB Server..." turn OFF usb-debugging
7) then turn it back ON
8) and back OFF
9) repeat this while "Waiting for Device" appears again.
@Stovka: I have 7zip installed, the unpacking/extracting of the recovery.img goes fine in Cygwin, but for some reason it just skips the repack part.
@AndreyETO: As soon as I disable debugging mode, superoneclick stops the procedure, so I didn't get far with that
So sorry, I don't really know what is the problem...
It was all ok for me - the one problem was that I had not installed 7-zip, but after installing it worked exactly according to instructions.
If it were successful: after recording recovery.img to the phone is first necessary to go into CWM mode (no run phone) and install the root file attached. End CWM recovery mode is classically done by clicking on "reboot system now", but after the first time there appears one more option (just I don't know what name), which must be confirmed! Otherwise, when you restart the phone again, then will be loaded the original file and the recovery process must be repeated - upload modified recovery.img and then root file via CWM.
Found another way to root, and it worked
I used the method in this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 )I used the current newest version:V15)
The first time it didn't work, but after rebooting the phone and trying again it was succesfull
Anyway, thank you guys for trying to help.

Same experience on Allview P6 Stony (P6_0201_V1179 software build). This method works for me - similarly I had to run the script (and the reboot cycle) 2x before it had an effect.
As pointers for others, before you try this method you need to make sure you have ADB drivers installed. Trying to install stock google drivers didn't work at all for me, what worked for me was installing latest PdaNet drivers (pdanetZ350.exe) from here: junefabrics.com/android/download.php *
Don't forget to install OTA Rootkeeper app afterwards and run it once - hopefully saves you the hassle of rooting again if the P6 should receive an incremental update.
Enjoy, thanks Flapperbol!
(*= sorry Im not allowed to post links)
Version 18 also works
Just to let you guys know that version 18 of Root_with_restore works. I just the ADB drivers from the PDAnet install (which I cancelled after the drivers were installed) and the phone is now rooted!
Does anybody know how to get rid of those ugly allview icons? I hate those things.

you should download all in one toolkit and use the sideload feature. read the on screen directions as you go through the process and you should have no problems
I also ran into a similar predicament a few days ago. I found adb push to be much easier than sideload. Make sure that your drivers and adb is installed on your PC (I assume Windows). In recovery mode, plug phone into USB and your PC should detect the phone but you won't be able to see phone contents; mine made a connection sound.
Then open a command prompt and type: adb push ROM.zip /data/media/ROM.zip
Rom.zip is the rom file that you want to flash, which should be in the same folder as adb. For the path, I used "/data/media" because the custom recovery defaults to that but you may be able to use "/sdcard" as well.
Then flash the rom using recovery
Hello All,
I've been rooting etc for a few years now, but last night I ran into my first snag I can't seem to get out of. I was attempting to install Viper 3.0, I had flashed in twrp2.6.3.0 beta like they said to do. Went through the wipe, etc installed and it failed. Message was along the lines of "Failed: Installer status 7." So i went through the process of trying to again, but now I'm stuck in Recovery or hboot/fastboot. I had to reinstall Windows 7 on a old hard drive because the whole Windows 8.1 thing doesn't work right. So I can see my phone in adb in WIndows 7. I've successfully pushed twrp2.5 to my phone, but I can do nothing else. I've tried sideload, but that won't work. At this point the main thing I'm trying to do is push an older ROM over to my phone to see if it installs correctly, but I can't seem to even push files in adb. Any help would be greatly appreciated on the matter, as I'm sure I'm overlooking something.

Put the phone in recovery mode and plug it into your PC, and make sure adb devices shows your serial number. Then you should be able to just run
adb push C:\path\to\your\rom.zip /sdcard/rom.zip
Then just find it in recovery and flash it

It made the file location, I'm waiting to see if it finishes copying it, as it's just sitting still at the moment.
Got it to work. Mods, you can delete this thread.
Hey, new to Android and rooting. I successfully rooted my 5T using TWRP and Magisk but decided to go back to stock. I followed instructions to download an official zip file from OnePlus website and flash (I hope that's the right term) from TWRP. I wiped beforehand as per the instructions.. I've obviously messed up because I've got a 'zip treble compatibility error' and 'No OS installed are you sure you wish to reboot'. When I reboot I have a black screen and white LED.
I did some more digging and deleted the compatibility zip from the oneplus file using winrar (7 zip was giving me an error in windows). I tried to flash this modified file via USB because my PC now doesn't seem to recognise my phone (I see it minimised in the USB/Harware tray but not in file explorer). However I only have a USB C to USB female connector and I don't think it will do the job of an OTG cable? Again I'm a complete noob so I'm sorry about that.
Can anyone talk me through what to do please? I've searched for hours on every forum I could find but can't seem to find a solution so I hope someone can help as I'm a bit lost.
I tried to post images but I'm prevented from doing so because I'm new. I've also cross-posted in the OnePlus Reddit forum in the hope someone can assist. Thank you.
I've edited my post as I've managed to flash the OnePlus zip by first enabling MTP to allow my PC to recognise the phone. I then had an error 7 when I tried to flash the zip with the removed compatibility zip, which I solved by removing two lines from the Updater Script via Notepad ++. Phew what a journey!
