Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my watch "Amazfit Pace".
My phone is a Nexus 6P and I use the application "Amazfit Watch"
When I turn off the watch, the wifi on the phone become extremely slow.
The problem is fixed if I turn off the bluetooth on the phone (but I need the bluetooth for other devices, so that's not a solution).
Maybe the application is always searching for the watch and disturbe the wifi on the phone ?
I'm trying to find a solution with Amazfit support, but they tell me not to repeat the problem.

Check there, I had problems with BT turning on all the time and I had to turn off there, so it turns on only when I open application.

i don't get it
the watch doesn't connect directly (through wifi) with the phone , the bt is for that
the watch connects (through wifi) with your router and need the wifi for the update only (i think)
are you sure that your router is "ok" ?
do you have the same problem on different wifi / router ?

I know the watch connects in bluetooth.
But when the connection is not made (for example the watch is off or I don't have it with me), it is the wifi used by my phone that works very badly.
Everything goes back to normal if I turn off the Bluetooth or uninstall the Amazfit application.
I haven't been able to test with another router yet, but all my devices are working properly with it.
Did you tried to do what I wrote you? Try that, force stop Amazfit app and hope on the best.

Thanks for your help, but it doesn't work any better.
Because of a battery problem, Google has just changed my Nexus 6P by this one which is a reconditioned one, and I wonder if it doesn't have a problem.
What bothers me is that otherwise everything works perfectly.
I didn't test the watch with my old Nexus 6P, too bad, it went back to Google...
Yeah I got the same problem!
The amazfit app has a very aggressive policy for bluetooth pooling. The wifi/ble are places on a single chip in our phones and they're sharing the same rf antenna. That's why it probably slows down wifi.
I have a xiaomi phone btw.
i have the same problem, i write to amazfit support and repply : "you are the firts person with this problem".
i have problem with samsung a3 , a5 and S7
with others phone do not have problem at all

I think everyone who has the problem should report it to them, so maybe it will solve the problem more quickly.

Just had a month of banging my head over this strange behaviour. Even called ISP support to come check it, because sometimes it would even crash my router. Always at around 23h until about 7h the wifi would be like a crawl. Today I really took the matters into my hands and made some tests with network analyzers on the phone and so then began uninstalling apps from more recent to older. As soon as Amazfit watch app went away bang! everything began working, even a movie that had tried to start on chromecast and was stuck for more than 30min started playing out of nowhere.
Then tried to install it back again and issue started again even though it was disconnected from the phone. My first thought was that crazy chinese had put some creepy code at would start doing something creepy at night. Then I remembered that I had auto airplane mode from 23h to 7h! This is crazy! Airplane mode is useless this way.!
I'm going to open a ticket also. Not sure if this happens with every phone, mine is quite old. Sony Xperia Z3, could be only old chipsets, but could also be people just don't know whats going on and blame other things, because it is a really strange behaviour.
I just received a reply from Amazfit Support:
"Our developer team are working on this issue. Hope this will be optimized in the near future, but no dates have been set yet.
Could you please reset your router to 5G dual band to have a try? Thank you for your patience and understanding!"
So they are aware and trying to figure out what to do. I believe the workaround will work, because bluetooth is also 2,4Ghz and that might be the issue, but have to try later at home.
Wifi problems
Same problem here. WIFI on smartphone goes down when watch is disconnected (airplane mode, turned off, away from phone, etc). Reported to amazfit support. Big bug!
Bad news from Amazfit support, they blame the phone, and their only solution is "try on another phone":

I've got the same issue and just wrote a ticket through the app with screenshots from a speedtest app.
i've got an oneplus 3t with android 8.0.0
Wifi speed usually is 50 Mbit/s. If the watch is disconnected it goes down to about 5 Mbit/s. I can reproduce this behavior everytime I want to, so it's caused by the app.

Don't update to this version as double tap to wake the screen doesn't work.

Amazfit engineers clearly do not even do basic testing before releasing.
I have found so many bugs and reported so many but it's really pointless - they do not seem to have the S/W engineering skills to fix or test any fixes.
As a Stratos user, the last good firmware was 2.3.5.0 - every release since just added more bugs!
The message here is that just do not update without a VERY good reason, as there is a very good chance, the newer release will be worst than previous.
AFAIK, it affects to original US watch users only, those CN watch users who flashed the US/Global/International firmware are not facing this bug.
I'm 99% sure the issue is related to the bootloader, they used the Chinese one, which is known to have this issue (from users report on my ROM) on original US watches.
If anyone interested with already unlocked bootloader, just let me know to test a fix.
Meanwhile, don't update if you mind double tap to wake and wait for an official fix from Huami.

Yes, this happens due to a time change last night. Just reboot the watch and it will synchronize the times.

Nono. These 1hour Problem exist longer that summer time. Sometimes it happend, dont now why.
Tha battery drain in *.22 is hard. >15% a day with nothing as wearing the watch.
Ringtone issue.
The problem exists with the old update and the new update - 3.2.0.20
On inactive display - on incoming call - sounds bad. When the active (lighted) display - when incoming call - rings normally. There is a ringing problem when the display is off.

Just received the update 3.2.1.0 and it work
I'm having a problem with Update 3.2.1.0, the continuous HR on the clock this function, and the sleep monitor also on the clock this works, but when synchronizing with the cell phone, in the AmazFit Watch application, does not show the data of the continuous HR nor sleep data. I've done the Factory Reset and still continues with this problem. What may be happening.
Wat i noticed. With some internal watchfaces it feels like a battery drain.
With Neon or "inutest Thing" im round about 15-20% a day. With a digital from amazftwatchface im around 8% a day.

Have you solved this? I thought i was the only one! Even the notification ring sounds bad sometimes

I saw the same. After every unpair or reset of watch probably all yours activities is counting from that day when you pair it again or resetted. Yours old activities is saving in Watch App and watch, but when you did reset or unpair that day is not saved. I saw that after few reset and unpair. I can't understand why, but probably this is must be.

When i talked with Amazfit support they siad me watch face don't having any effect to battery life, a little bit strange cos my battery drained faster as usualy with "spiked" watch face only. When i bought watch i could don't charge battery about 4 days, now after latest update i must charge battery after alsmost 2 - 3 days. Amazfit support explaining that as my changed usuage, my changed settings and ect. But these all things wasn't changed at all. With the same activity, settings before i update to latest version battery i could not to charge about 4 days.
i bought a new amazfit verge us version (a1811) and updated its fw to 3.2.2.0. everything is fine but when the screen is off, notification beep sounds like sizzling and bad. all other sounds are normal. do you have the same problem? how can i fix it?

A1811 is not US version it's international version, included US market. No i did not noticed any sounds problem. But if say honest most time i using only vibrate notifications without any sounds Sounds is in smartphone
several people in the forum came across the same problem. is it a condition that I need to send to the warranty? Is it solved by software update? I also sent a notification from the feedback section of amazfit watch.

As i mentioned usually i using notifications without sound, only vibration is activated. When i did factory reset notifications sounds fine to me. But that was once, maybe two time when i used notifications with sound at all after these updates. So i can't confirm it's issues/bugs or not. But one advise which i got from Amazfit support when i asked about battery life which after update is shorter, they advised me to first do factory reset. So i can advise you the same. If problem will be the same you can try to chat before you will bring watch to seller or authorized service to Amazfit support and when after you will talk with support do what they will advise you or bring to service or seller. Factory reset if say honest most time fixing small problems in many devices (if there is no biggest violations): smartphones, smart watches and ect. Without detail review hard to say it's software problem or soundspeaker I have problem with wifi in my smartphone, when is turned on bluetooth wifi dropping, usually internet wokring fine in others device, dropping is not often, but when i turning off bluetooth works fine. Manufactor supporting gave me some advices which did not helped to me, need to test in others device or with others wifi connections, but i can't to do right now that. So it's conflict between wifi and bluetooth or just others reason it's hard to say. The same is with yours situation, about problem can confirm some costumers.users, but for others can work fine. So i posted my advises, i think the best right now is just to talk with Amazfit support before you return it to seller or bring it to authorized service or do factory reset, which by the way i recommend to do before connect with Amazfit support, cos i'm sure they will ask about that

This is support with chat option - https://support.amazfit.com/hc/en-us (if you can't see help/chat option, then scroll down with mouse and you will see chat window in left side of computer/smartphone), check from time to time are they online, coz they often are diconnected from chat. I can chat with they only when is evening in my country. I guest they are in US and connecting only in day time, maybe after lunch time

There is nothing to thank, I trying to help as much as I can. Sad that factory reset did not helped, try to chat with support (live or via mail, you probably just sent feedback from app, in feedback they don't react, i mean they will not answer to you)
I saw a post in Reddit from a Huami global support person in the Amazfit subreddit and i have mentioned to him about the sound problem as well as other things. He say it is a known problem and it is worked on. So hopefully with the next firmware we will get a fix for that.

Yep, and i wrote that here somewhere and on FB and other places. Its being worked on.
A problem with the sound is two months to me. The manufacturer is made to "cuckoo" - refuses to recognize the problem. A problem with sound exists in all - Europe, Russia, America.
I tried everything, settings, restart, unlock, new installation, Chinese version, factory settings - did not fix a problem.
There is an update rolling out at the moment that says it is fixing the problem. It is 3.2.3.0 if i remember correctly. Just have some patience. Should be here any time now.

I can confirm, i got update today was written the same
My Stratos 3 is currently running 4.2.2.0 firmware.
Today Amazfit app has notified me a new firmware available: 4.2.2.1, but when I choose to upgrade, the watch looks for latest version and says it's on the latest.
Is there any way to force the discovery? I'm currently facing problems to sync sport activities between the watch and the Amazfit App and I'd like to test the new firmware to see it solves those problems.

Hi Johny, did you do anything else? I have done already like 10 factory resets, and the only thing I get after the incredibly fast firmware download is "Coudn't download updates, try again", and if try again, "Current version is up to date", once and once again
I'm losing my nerves with this watch, it works really bad
I'm in the same problem... I did 3 favtiry resets without any result. After a factory reset wath download firmware but appears a download error and stops... My watch version is A1929.
Another stranger thing is inthe amazfit app apeears a message to download the lastest version everytime.:crying:
Make sure watch can connect to Wi-Fi properly, otherwise it won't download the update. You can connect it in the settings on watch (of course).

The download finishes to 100% but when it try to install appear the download fail message... The wifi connection is on, and it seems to download all the firmware.
It can be a servet fail or similar. But it download to the 100%, I don't understand... I try 4 times factory reset and delete amazfit app to in mobile with same result.
If you know how to use adb, you can try this:
1. Connect the watch to the computer using USB
2. Make sure you have a file named "update.zip" on watch's internal storage after it reaches 100% downloading
3. Check if adb is working with:

4. If it does, try to start the update with this other command:

adb reboot update
It was very very weird.
When I was at home, my watch always told me it was on the latest version, but when I tried again far from home, it detected the new version (but I didn't have a Wifi around to download).
I then used my mobile Wifi tethering but I received an error on OTAUpdate module.
I did a Factory reset and I downloaded and installed it perfectly.
Really weird indeed... I was able to update also by tethering, wifi at home or office didn't work, so thanks for your help

Finally I can update, I explain the steps I have done.
1-factory reset
2-pair the phone with amazfit app.
3- select the update in the amazfit app ( not the stratos, because if you select in ther fails)
4- put password wifi and update.
The most extrange thing is because the same steps I done 6 or 7 times before, with the same wifi connection.

no need in factory reset, there was a bad file pushed to the OTA. it was replaced, everything should work out of the box.
I'm still not able to update but that looks like different issue.
When I try to enter wifi password in Amazfit app, press tick mark on keyboard it does nothing. On phone keyboard closing, window to enter password still there with password entered (no ok or other button) and Stratos 3 still waiting for password.
Maybe that is some incompatibility with Android 10 in Nokia 8.1?

Same issue here. The updated worked for 4.2.2.0 after many attempts but not the 4.2.2.1. I tried using the watch directly or the app.
Also, the watch quality is poor. GPS doesn't work properly for running even if trying different GPS combinations (GLONASS, GALILEU,)
I had the Amazfit Pace and it was great comparing with this one.. Really disappointed.
Really, so it suffers the same flaw as GTR/GTS? Another Huami failure?

Yes.. Just saw other pages about GTR / GTS. Exactly the same.
It takes a long time to get signal and I even had a run of app. 7 km that the watch recognized as about 13 km.
Doesn't seem like an easy and quick fix either..
I'm about to action the warranty..

just got mine i can definitly say there's nothing to do with GTR (sent it back)... accruacy is very good on this watch.

I'm 4.2.2.1 got it upgrade first time I boot.
Tried 2 or 3 times accuracy is good. GPS+Galileo (I'm french)
But I'm facing some bugs (due to early fw) the time of my workout it 1 hour sooner in amazfit app (if I do it at 15h00 it's displayed at 14h in amazfit app) in the watch it's ok.
I had also to disable "workout synced notification" because it was never stopping to send notification)
Last think I've noticed some notification are double sent: ex Gmail
But has I said the watch was first only in English French language came with latest fw. Some of you have those bugs?

Yes, working good, but same bugs (French too)

I have been experiencing issues with the notifications on my Stratos 3 for a couple of weeks. Very often there is a big delay from when I get the notifications on the phone to when the notifications are shown on the watch. Another problem is that I get the same notifications again on the watch some time after (even if the notifications are already gone on the phone). Also very often notifications stay on the watch after being cleared on the phone.
I have checked that Zepp app is not battery optimized and that it has access to notifications. Not sure if there is some other permission that needs to be granted which might have lost when changing from Amazfit to Zepp.
I didn't have any issues with amazfit app, I think this started when they changed the app to Zepp....
Anyone else encountered the same issues?
I'm having the same issues with Stratos 3.
However, I had them already with the amazfit app.
I'm using it with the Galaxy Note 10+. Also battery optimization is off and all other permissions given.
Notifications work normally in ultra mode!

I have enabled the phone anti-lost feature and I noticed that the watch is constantly loosing connection even if it is 10cm far from the phone.

My first firmware was 4.2.6.0 and I had the problem already.
I read it was better with 4.2.5.0... but I don't really understand how to downgrade.
I have a Galaxy note 10+ Deactivating "find my mobile" didn't have any effect for me.
After updating to 4.2.8 I have the same issues with the notifications and lost connection frequency.
I will raise a bug on the Zepp app and hope it is looked at

Hi! I have the same issue and I had battery optimization "ON" for Zepp, turned it off and..no result. I believe its either a bug on the firmware or some minor tweak required on the ROM( its a custom ROM, not stock). But with the Stratos 2, same phone, same ROM, no issues whatsoever...
Guys, massive improvement: tried with an older Zepp version (Amazfit 4.7.1) and even if I havent tested WhatsApp notifications all the others are super fast and I had zero connection lost warnings! Wish you all the best of luck!

COuld you dump your firmware and upload?
The only way I could receive notifications properly was using Amazmod (sorry if you own an iPhone) and turning off everything related to graphics/images in notifications. They are some seconds late, but still usable though.

Dude, thanks a lot, the only thing I didn't tried, except for factory reset the phone, was an older version of the app. I could only find Amazfit Watch 2.7.2, but it's working flawlessly with it, watch is first Stratos
