Hi I recently dropped my T-Mobile HD2 in a puddle of water very briefly i took the cover off and battery right after it happened and wiped everything down. The phone worked flawlessly for about 6 hours then I finally got a black screen. The phone will turn on boot into android(2.3 NAND) and the touch screen works plus im able to recieve calls and messages BUT the only way to tell is to use a bright flashlight to see the screen as I have NO BACKLIGHT. Help me please?
You have probably dead light emission layer. By all means, LCD is to be replaced.
You shouldn't turn phone on immediately after accident. Removing battery immediately, complete disassemble of every possible piece and letting it rest for 2-3 days in warm dry place is a proper way to do this. Next time of course.
So just replace the LCD? Should I order a digitizer with it? Thanks in advance.
hi...
well im pretty sad cause i dropped my galaxy s2 on the floor(not the 1st time)...this time when i switched it on all it shows is a white screen with crazy coloured lines.i waited a bit and i understood that it booted up.i pressed the power button and the display went off and heard the sound(i assigned it on pressing power button).then i again pressed the power button switching on the phone to its lockscreen and from my memory i pressed that jellybean locksreen buttton and slid my finger.anyways it unlocked and went to the homescreen.later i was able to switch off the phone too....everything works except the screen...
Is it just that my lcd is loose connected or is it damaged and would i need a replacement.
Sorry for the lengthy description if it bored you and my advance thanks to anyone who gives an answer and thanks to xda -for this forum.
Have a very close look at the screen under a not too bright light and see if you can notice any cracks. Sometimes you can barely see them.
If you can't see any, then if I were you I'd open it up and pray to God that it's just the screen connector that's come off slightly. It's a possibility.
Good luck..

During last Friday and Saturday, my Nexus 9 started locking up. Initially it would just freeze, and reboot. No excessive heat, just general use, browsing on Chrome. As the day went on, the freezes became more regular. In addition, freezes would come with small grey rectangle graphical artifacts.
At this point i left it for a while. Coming back to it, it started locking up again - once during boot.
Again I left it, this time over night. Sunday I did a factory reset.
It made it maybe 10 minutes into the reset before, again during Chrome or Bacon Reader, it locked up. This time it locked up with animated grey rectangles, and very loud white noise.
It's not come back on, so I'm now waiting for Google to replace, hopefully before Christmas.
For reference, S/N was HT4AF, day of release model, black, UK.
Make it two. Mine just died. No warning. Just cold dead. Thanks Santa.
Make it three. Got the tablet for my son. He was setting it up and there was a loud whit noise, then
a white screen. Then finally nothing.
I have one very upset child.
HTC quality.

Mine now freezes with white screen and loud noise multiple times a week. Holding power will reboot but a few seconds in to real racing 3 it will do it again. This is supposed to be a flagship tablet but I'm not impressed already having returned one that had a stuck gyro. The one I returned had a much better screen than this one too. No light bleed. HTC are no help in Australia so I'm screwed
Hi hoping someone can help. Had my phone around 3 weeks now and all was great until yesterday. The screen just stopped reaction to touch mainly on the right hand side but I don't think that this is a hardware issue and the screen works everywhere when rotated. I tried a factory reset and problem is still there. I have never rooted a phone in my life so keep it simple haha. Thanks in advance
Any help guys? How can I add a screen shot on here to show what firmware it is running?
I have not had this problem, but I did have a similar problem on another phone before where part of the screen went dead , I think it's related to moisture try putting the phone somewhere dry or blow a fan on it for a few hours see if the touch comes back.
if you have it in a case try removing it
Just got the new Redmi Note 4 (64GB+4GB) yesterday and spent half my day setting up the phone and transferring all of data to it. Some time late in the night I did a reboot and while the phone booted in the first boot screen that is, a completely black screen with Mi logo on it, I noticed a few coloured spots ranging from the bottom of the screen to the top. Once it booted up, I went into the gallery and opened up a completely black wallpaper, turned on the brightness to full and zoomed in the black portion of the wallpaper and again saw those spots at the exact same place.
Is this a manufacturing defect?
Thank you for your help.

Have they gone away? The screen is known to have temporary burn in that goes away after like 5 hours
I also noticed these spots on my screen. Is it a hardware or a software defect? If it's a hardware defect, Xiaomi should address this asap. I can't have a brand new phone with burnt dots on screen.

Just checked again and there are still some spots. Majority of them seem to have gone away. Will check again in a day or so.
I don't have any spots on my screen at all.

I Don't worry about those things, I'm getting 8 to 9 hrs of overall SOT.
My brand new Redmi note 4 switches off when I lock the screen. Also the fon switches off during a call.. Is it a hardware issue or a software. And what is the solution?

Have you flashed any Roms since you got it? Could you be running a buggy vendor/reseller ROM?

Haven't flashed anything yet. Got the phone yesterday. Contacted Xiaomi service centre, waiting for their response
dead pixels. xiaomi phones have always had dead pixels at least in all the phones i have used. redmi note 4g, note 3, mi4, the 2 replacements for redmi note 4g all had 5 or 6 dead pixels. sometimes they are not visible until you forcefully try to look for them. 1 or 2 dead pixel is fine and i used to freak out earlier but now i have accepted 1 or 2 dead pixels whenever i buy a cheap phone. only my mi pad had no dead pixel. almost all brands have 1 or 2 dead pixel and that can be ignored but more than 5-6 can't be ignored imo.

No, they are still present. I actually don't have a lot of time to go after Mi for a replacement. But I might go and talk to Mi service centre this weekend
Stuck pixels spotted
Hi
Even i have more than 30 stuck pixels,
some are small and 4 pixels are big among them and they are Cyan blue colored.
Same problem here. But my wife's phone doesn't have it. Same model
Please raise a complaint to Xiaomi and get it replaced at the earliest. Sounds like dead pixel issue.
