Bricked and Oem locked SM-J730F - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, my first post here.
So, 3 months ago my samsung j7 touch became unresponsive after OTA update to 8.0 oreo. I emailed samsung and they tild me I need a touch replacement. So i put the phone aside until I read an article somewhere which said this was due to the update and not hardware
So i tried to downgrade to Nougat with Odin but the problem was it was OEM locked. I tried to unlock it with miraclebox (I once did it with another phone) but miracle box failed and bricked the phone
So now I have a bricked phone which is oem locked and i tried using odin to flash stock rom with no luck (i think because of oem lock?) I tried using smart switch but the latest version doesn't have a device initialization option and when I tried being smart by downloading the older version, still it is not working like then. So am stranded here any HELP please fellas?

Found something what may work
1. Download Kies Pc suite
3. Boot into download mode and connect the phone into your computer
2. Run Kies Pc suite
3. Now you will see a message “added”.
4. Now Select “tools” option -> select “firmware upgrade” option.
5. Now type your model number and imei number carefully.
6. Press ok and follow the instructions.

[SOLVED] Problems flashing on (P769)

I was recently given an LG Optimus L9 P769BK and decided to try and unlock the bootloader and root it. Most of the guides (such as: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584997) suggest flashing to V10G_00 first before flashing to the EU V20B_00. I was able to flash to V10G (from V20H that was already on the phone using "LG Flash Tool 2014") but now, no matter what tool I use, I am unable to get ANY ROM to flash to the phone.
Methods/Tools used and the results:
1)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
1a)Result: The software that is launched in Step 10 crashes before doing any updating
2)http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l9/general/p765-unbrick-using-lg-flash-tool-2014-t2950433
2a) Using CDMA + Diag or Emergency: Goes to 10% of SW Update then fails with an error saying to remove the battery and try again. Doing this does not resolve the problem
2b) Using 3GQCT + Diag or Emergency: Can not connect to phone. Reseating the connection and power cycling the phone does not resolve this.
3) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748384
3a)Using the LGP769_20121004_LGFLASHv1350.dll and a bin from V20B_00 it freezes around 570 seconds with a write error. The phone no longer boots outside of SW Update Mode.
The phone will now only boot into SW Update mode.
System:
OS: Windows 8.1 64bit
Drivers: LGUnitedMobileDriver_S52MAN314AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.14.1
Any thoughts on what to do next?
UPDATE: The LG Flash Tool mentioned in 3) no longer sees the phone. After following the steps mentioned in the guide again
UPDATE2: Reinstalled the drivers. Method 1) still crashes, 2) same results, 3) still not "seeing" the phone when connected.
UPDATE3: (using Win 7 machine). Method 2) gives an odd "Can not connect to server error" when tried. Method 3) gives a write error on "Failed to Write OMAP" (ill get the exact line in a minute)
UPDATE4: Ignoring the error (aka NOT clicking the box) from Method 2) allowed the phone to flash with no problem
Only the very first v10a had an unlockable bootloader. And the first couple of v20ies or all of them. I unlocked and rooted with v20c, later versions could have locked Bls.
My phone actually has an encrypted bootloader so no ROM will work
I have no soldering skills so I ordered a 910k cable and will do the unlock with it.

Moto Z bricked OEM Locked

Hello friends of XDA, I have a big problem between hands, I have a MOTO Z and I had it in android 7.0 since last year the update to andorid 7.1.1 did not arrive and I felt that with android 7 the battery was consumed very quickly, so I tried to find the update to flash it and just about 3 days ago I found it, I proceeded to download it and flash it in fastboot and adb.
The thing is that a few months ago, browsing through my phone (I had already rotated it, and unlocked the bottloader, I decided to re-block the bootloader, and remove the root, which never worked at 100) I got into the developer options, and I saw an option that until then I didn't know about its "OEM Unlock"function, as it was turned on and deactivated because I thought it didn't work.
Returning to the update flashing I proceeded as usual, with the commands, I proceed to restart the device and show the image of the boot of motrola but then it shows me a message in red letters.
"Startup Failed"
"failed to pass validation, backup to fastboot.
I thought it was a compatibility problem with the downloaded version of 7.1.1 so again I decided to flash the stock rom 7.0 but when I finished and restart the same message appeared.
I started to investigate and it seems that the OEM blockade is responsible for not being able to install any Stock Rom, or anything, and now I have a nice brick with Moto mods and I can't use it.
I wanted to unlock OEM in fastboot but nothing. sends message from "ALLOW OEM UNLOCK IN SETTINGS"
There is way to unlock the OEM from pc or fastboot without needing to be unlocked from the android settings, as in my case it is impossible for me,
I'd be very grateful for your help friends, I know it's a bit tedious to read but it's the only phone I have and I feel weird without it on the street.:bueno::bueno::llorando:

Try to boot in Fastboot flash twrp and flash ressurection remix rom. It's great rom. Forget about locking. I had the same problem like you as I was trying to flash stock ROM and lock bootloader.
I gave up on this.

Well, when the root didn't work properly, I flashed the phone again and blocked the bootloader. Will I still be able to install TWPR or should I lose my phone?

What do you mean with "I blocked my bootloader"?
Twrp is easy to flash. Root is integrated in ressurection remix rom. And this rom is great. Just try to flash twrp in Fastboot and than ressurection remix with twrp.
Can you boot in Fastboot?
Do you remember what build of 7.1.1 you had on your device before downgrading to 7.0?
If so, I would suggest finding that firmware (the full stock firmware, not OTA updates) or newer if you can, and try to flash that. Since your bootloader is still likely from the 7.1.1 build, a locked bootloader will only permit files matching the same patch level (i.e. from the exact same stock ROM as that bootloader patch) to boot.
If not, then unfortunately there's not a lot we can do. You could wait for a newer firmware to get leaked, but as your device is unable to boot (due to failing the bootloader checks) and you cannot toggle OEM unlocking because you cannot boot, it's a nasty vicious circle that is difficult to get out of. You may have to consider sending your device for service and pay for an expensive motherboard replacement otherwise, since Motorola have a record of your device being unlocked. Your service centre experience may vary.
Only lock a bootloader after ensuring you've flashed all the stock firmware and it is all the same patch level as your bootloader. Hopefully you'll find newer firmware that you can repair with.

I solved it, I finally flashed the stock rom to my phone and it works.
Apparently my pc was not flashing the stock rom in adb, and the phone turned off when loading the software. I did it 3 times until I load correctly and start well.
if you have the same problem apparently then OEM Blocking is not responsible. You have to flash the most current rom or the one that you had by default when the brick happened to you, you flash it in a normal way with commands of adb and ready, I would have to come back to life.
download from firmware center MotoZ Griffin the most current rom stock at 7.1.1

Thanks for your help friend, I finally flashed it with a recent android 7.1.1 update. Apparently the OEM lockout was not the culprit, but it was an interrupted flash of android 7.1.1 at some point when loading the software to the phone, it would shut down on its own and not complete the installation, which showed me the mentioned message. I didn't realize that and thought it was the OEM blockade.
I finally did it on another pc and it worked. the phone came back to life.

Honor 9 - (STF-L09C432B120) Doesn't find updates

So my problem is that I bought this phone from China, and the software that was put in it is the version (STF-L09C432B120) and it doesn't find updates. Do you know if I can put another version which will download the 8.0 update ? I am really worried that I might brick it.
Thanks in advance
I'm new here btw
Edit : does anyone here know how to unlock the boot loader ? Because I assume that I'll need to do that if I can install another ROM. (Yes. I am now aware that Huawei and Honor do not support it anymore.)

Try updating with Firmware Finder which you can find in google store. If it won't work, connect your phone to pc and try updating with HiSuite app
To unlock bootloader try this but i dont know if its going to work on chinese software.
1. go to https://emui.huawei.com/ and log in with your HUAWEI ID
2. go to UNLOCK page and get your unlock key.
3. In settings of your phone search for HDB and enable that option.
4. go to settings > system > about phone and click few times on compilation number to enable programmer settings.
5. go back to settings > system > programmer settings and enable USB debugging and unlock OEM
6. download HiSuite, connect your phone and make Backup of everything that you need (unlocking bootloader wipes everything on your internal storage)
7. If you cant connect your device, try to do this https://ph.answers.acer.com/app/answ...er-enforcement
8. download this zip and extract on your desktop. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1A0...qqUYv-NnXWi5vD
9. inside the folder hold SHIFT and press right click and click open power shell here.
10. type .\adb devices
11. type .\adb reboot bootloader
12. type .\fastboot oem unlock [your unlock key]
13. Press volume + on your phone to select YES and than power button to confirm.
14. Now your bootloader is unlocked and your phone will do the factory reset.
Update straight to C432B183 fullOTA-MF with androidapp 'Firmware Finder'.
Doing that, you won't mess your capacitives buttons and should be able to get normal oreo ota then.
It's told Firmware Finder doesn't work anymore since ~3months ; You'll have at least to try.
If not working, there is a C432B130 service repair firmware available for nougat. It flash in firmware mode (dload) and it need an usb-otg or microSD exfat formated.
---------- Post added at 21:21 ---------- Previous post was at 21:19 ----------
& Once on C432B130 you'll get the ota normally.
Still. I don't have a boot unlocker. And are you sure it won't brick it ?
Sure.
What do you mean by sure ?
Sure, i'm sure it won't brick.

P10 Lite Bootloader locked/unlocked at the same time? OEM Unlocking greyed out?

Hi all,
I have a P10 Lite that is running Nougat, EMUI 5.1. The phone displays the very ominous 'This phone has been unlocked and is therefore not secure' message at every boot. I would like to get rid of this message as we are putting it back on sale within the store and do not want to scare customers with this warning. I have the bootloader lock/unlock code but whether it is locked/unlocked, the message still appears AND OEM unlocking is greyed out in developer settings. Additionally after 'locking' it in fastboot, when put back into fastboot mode it still displayed as 'Phone Unlocked'. I have tried updating it through SD card but that did nothing. Is it basically stuck in this state now?
Just flash official firmware to replace bootloader.

I think flashing it original full firmware will work for you, whether OEM unlocking at settings has greyed or disappear. Ones the device drivers can be recognize by computer at this stage it should support full flash. That is why is always advisable to keep device full backup before tempering with it. Download the device original firmware online, use it supported flash tool and flash through computer.
Since you are also on sale point or shop, you can take same phone from shop if available, backup then restore the files to the OEM greyed phone.
But before performing full flash make sure you keep backup of exiting firmware, so that you can restore back when new firmware does not support your device.

My phone got FRP'd and I can't unlock even with the correct pattern. Am I SOL?

Phone: Asus Zenfone 3 ZC520TL
Hi all. So I have a frustrating issue with my phone after having updated to the last official firmware from the Asus website. I noticed that the phone operation was very slow, so I decided to do a factory reset from recovery. Everything went well until I am somehow locked out of my phone via FRP. The weirdest thing is that instead of asking for google credentials, it's asking for a pattern, which I am correctly inputting but it refuses to recognize it. So now I'm stuck with a locked out phone. Am I SOL at this point or is there a way to get past this other than taking it to a service center?
Things I've tried that haven't worked:
1. tried to erase user config in fastboot (returned error FAILED)
2. wiped all data in recovery
3. tried to flash to an older version via asus flashtool but didn't work as the device isn't recognized
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
