Thought so.A csc is not carrier based its country based. For example Im in Spain and in use FOP on any network,KOR is korea standard and so on.You can flash a firmware with a multi-csc if that firmware is official in those countries. If not you get the csc for the valid country only.If you go to the link below you will see a list of all official firmwares. If you go even further below to the "FRANKENSTEIN SECTION" you will see more firmwares and a list of CSCs.You can flash a Frankenstein FW,factory reset your phone then if you want flash any of the CSCs you see there and do another factory reset to complete it.In my experience its not a good idea to flash another CSC to an official FW so thats why its best to choose a Frankenstein one which are just the same, just pimped-up by XDAs intratech. The other wat is to flash a custom ROM that has a multi CSC pack built in.

thats what i thought so i used the firmware in the link above i then did a factory reset so kies would see it as if i done it vis kies. Kies then checked for an update and none was found but then when i went to change the csc i only had xeu.
Dose anyone know when/if 2.3.5 for xeu will be out i dont want to flash again
because i just got kies to work with the firmware im useing
Kies wont work from the CSC you on your phone. It will search for the latest update depending on the product code of your phone and if you flash a non-official firmware then it will say that the firmware that you have cannot be updated. If you want the official 2.3.5 then you need a factory unlocked SGS2 as they are usually the first to get updates and dont flash it with a non-oficiall FW.Flash a custom ROM if you wantIm on KI4-KK5 2.3.6 cos I have a custom ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1290468
it is unlocked to all networks it unlocked when i flashed it with 2.3.4
Kies reads a specific registry key to get the phone details like
I9000ADJP6/I9000O2UJP3/I9000ADJP3/I9000ADJP6
If Kies tries to match firmware to the above codes it would fail .
As per
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089874&highlight=hidswver
the Check FUS post allows direct downloads
or spoofFW may allow you to download a firmware from Kies by spoofing codes .

Its just that you said you de-branded it.I took that as a locked phone that you have unlocked with a flash but that wont change its product code.
ah im with you now how can i unlock it so the code can change?
it was on t-mobile 2.3.5 is out now for t-mobile but kies is saying im up to date not sure now how to get get 2.3.5 but so kies still works
on my mums galaxy s her sales code was cpw i changed it by *#272*IEMI#
changed to xeu it then had an update to 2.3.5
CPW CSC is the best for the UK as it covers more networks .

i did try CPW but still no update and this one http://www.multiupload.com/QROGHPRZVK made my anti virus pop up when my mums one was set to CPW it would not update till it was set to XEU also CPW is still on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread http://devsrom4android.blogspot.com/2011/10/samsung-galaxy-s2-firmware-updates-via.html
same as XEU

Dont worry to much about the antivirus coming up.Thats just the way your antivirus or firewalls is set.Happens every now and then but its not a virus so just download it anyway.Happened to me a few times, mostly when the file is an md5 file and not a tar file(both go in PDA in Odin too so no worries there). As for Kies I guess its a matter of flashing a compatable firmware that Kies will recognize for the update as normally it wont recognize non official ones.Or a custom ROM if you cant wait.
CPW CSC is the best for UK networks as it covers more networks .
It has nothing to do with updates its only the CSC file that contains multiple network configurations more than the XEU csc does .
CSC is not actually required to use the phone .
SpoofFW might be worth a look from the market .

There is already a thread about this.

i saw here http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2011/12/android-236-firmware-i9100xxkl1for.html that 2.3.6 open is out since the 8th but iv had no update
well i flashed it with CPW 2.3.3 kies updated it to 2.3.4 dont matter what network i use
Hi there
While in holland working I bought the s6 edge sim free and while I have no problems, I know it is defaulted to Dutch software, so default voice is dutch on "ok google" and some prejnstalled software is dutch.
Is there a way to make my phone think it is the UK version so the next firmware version that comes down will be english?
Thanks
Yes download the BTU or XEU firmware and flash it through Odin.
if not work delete the hidden Img from the firmware
Thanks for the quick replies.
Quick question as its been a while since I used odin, do I need my bootloader unlocked and does it wipe the phone? I'm currently just stock with no root or anything
Just boot in download mode and ad the firmware in Odin [AP box]
ah right, cool, will download it now then. I'm getting the version from SAM Mobile, but on a free download so it will take an age!
I presume the baseband being different won't matter? (Download G925FXXU2BOFJ and mine is G925FXXU1AOE3)
The baseband will be updated to after the firmware is successfully flashed. Dont worry about that part, just make sure you download the correct firmware for your S6 model version. So if you have a G925F then you also need to download the G925F firmware.
Hi I'm from Pakistan and I bought a new Galaxy Alpha (G850F) around 2 months ago and here we still haven't received lollipop update so I flashed an XSG (Dubai) stock firmware (Lollipop 5.0.2) but the problem is it's a bit laggy and my phone becomes hot sometimes.... So I flashed back to KitKat stock firmware for my region but my product code and csc does not change back to my region's code and it keeps on showing me the lollipop update!! So plz tell me a way to flash my region's stock rom so that my product code and csc changes back too!!
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks!!

Go to SAMMOBILE and look for your firmware. Flash it via ODIN. After that, reset the phone to factory settings.
Yeah I did that but still my product code and csc didn't change!!

I have the same issue, is there any solution?
Hi,
I'm able to flash the Canadian A52 5G SM-526W with the stock firmware successfully using Odin both the complete firmware and just the CSC.
I tried to flash with SM-A526B, SM-A525M, SM-A525F unsuccessfully, it fails every time for the complete firmware or just the CSC.
Can anyone direct me to which firmware I can flash to this phone to activate the built in call recorder?
Thanks!
Indian/INS firmware should likely have it, but don't flash A525 firmware on the A526, you'll have problems.
I did try flashing with the A525 firmware but it just fails.
How can I use the Indian/INS firmware to add call recording to my phone? I tried to use just the CSC file with Odin from A525 firmware and that failed too.
You could try using the XSG (United Emirates Arab) firmware. I have it on my J7 Pro and it has the call recording function, not sure if it is the same for the A52 5G.
I'd suggest you flash the original firmware that came with your device first, then only flashing the CSC from the XSG firmware to see if you get call recording.
And use Frija to get the firmware, just go into its settings and turn on "Binary Nature" option for it to download the 5 part firmware instead of the 1 part firmware.
Sorry my bad, I didn't know there was a SM-A526W for the Canadian market only. I was thinking that your's was a SM-A526B, which is the international version. I don't know if the A526W will accept the A526B firmware, it might work or it might brick your phone.
Thanks for the help, it wouldn't accept the CSC from the SM-A526B firmware or the entire firmware already tried that. Any other suggestion?
Then no, you're pretty much stuck. I don't know whether any of the other Canadian firmwares have call recording enabled.
None of the Canadian firmware's have call recording and I have tried a number of different CSC using the *#272*IMEI# method which are available in the firmware. Guess its a no go

W models can typically only flash W U and U1 firmware
It will only flash W firmware which I have done several times, but it will not flash U firmware or even U firmware CSC file

maybe if you posted the error you receive in patched odinas wellas the error it shows on device screen when it fails then we can help u
for example, if it gives a sha hash error or something its bcuz u arent using modified odin which is needed to flash u or u firmware to your w model and if it gives some error like sw rev check fail its because youre trying to downgrade and need a firmware with the same rev
Here are the pictures I blocked out the DID number
Was looking through the forums and would using a Thailand SIM change the CSC so I could have call recording?

Your SIM card does not set or change CSC.
I was reading this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/a52s-change-csc-by-factory-reseting-with-a-sim.4360199/
Could I try the same?
any ideas to change CSC with ADB
I would think. That if you loaded up recovery, and then switched to the side load mode.
That you would be able to flash an official stock CSC file from a different 4-File/5-File repair package of another build. As long as as that CSC File matched the BL's software revision fuse.
Generally speaking, Samsung Devices have been "World Modem" compatible since the Galaxy S7. So carrier firmware is interchangable on the same SoC.
And if flashing the CSC alone does not work Try using the UserData.img as well
If all else fails just install the U1 FW, or whole 5-File Repair package from another carrier that matches your device's BL Revision.
This hasn't failed since maybe 2015.

Can you give me your model number real quick to see if I can't find you a link?
This is what I found first off: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...sc-firmware-need-to-be-on-one-ui-2-5.4182989/
Not sure of it's usefulness on your device but sounds like it.
Otherwise. Find the U1/XAA fw for your BL Revision and flash it with Odin.
It should then be compatible with ALL CSC CODES.

Hi, I may be late here but if you still looking to change the CSC on your Samsung A52s or any other phone I will suggest you visit this link, you can ask any question related to the change of Samsung CSC if you are a professional, for normal users just place your order and get it done remotely.
