any ideas to change CSC with ADB
I would think. That if you loaded up recovery, and then switched to the side load mode.
That you would be able to flash an official stock CSC file from a different 4-File/5-File repair package of another build. As long as as that CSC File matched the BL's software revision fuse.
Generally speaking, Samsung Devices have been "World Modem" compatible since the Galaxy S7. So carrier firmware is interchangable on the same SoC.
And if flashing the CSC alone does not work Try using the UserData.img as well
If all else fails just install the U1 FW, or whole 5-File Repair package from another carrier that matches your device's BL Revision.
This hasn't failed since maybe 2015.

Can you give me your model number real quick to see if I can't find you a link?
This is what I found first off: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...sc-firmware-need-to-be-on-one-ui-2-5.4182989/
Not sure of it's usefulness on your device but sounds like it.
Otherwise. Find the U1/XAA fw for your BL Revision and flash it with Odin.
It should then be compatible with ALL CSC CODES.

Hi, I may be late here but if you still looking to change the CSC on your Samsung A52s or any other phone I will suggest you visit this link, you can ask any question related to the change of Samsung CSC if you are a professional, for normal users just place your order and get it done remotely.

Hi guys,
I just bought a Galaxy S2 and I want to flash a newer firmware.
The firmware I intend to flash (XXKG1) comes with PDA, MODEM and CSC.
Is it possible to flash just it's PDA part? Would there be any implications on that?
Why would I want that? Because the original firmware (Brazil - VIVO carrier) I could find only came with the PDA part. So if I flash CSC or MODEM, there is no way back.
The CSC is different from mine. Would that be a problem?
Thanks in advance
AFAIK the CSC is installed into the system partition, so even when you only flash the PDA part you're going to loose your current CSC setup.
However, if the FW comes as seperate .tar files you can just flash the PDA one, yes.
You can take care of a "way back" if you first install CF-Root for example and then do a backup from recovery mode.
Restoring that back gets you pretty close to "nothing ever happened" - it doesn't backup the moden though, only system and data.
Uhmm... weird, even on ODIN you have a separate button for the CSC.
What are the consequences of changing the CSC?

As the above poster mentioned It really depends how the firmware is packaged
Intratech's firmware are packed in one TAR ( Pda/phone/csc ) is just one zip, which you put in the PDA section and it flashes all three of them within
If you get three seperate files then you put them in their corressponding order of ODIN
In this instance you can choose to keep your current CSC and not flash that one.
Although I am not sure if It has any effect between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4
Just to clarify CSC subject:
I live in Kazakhstan. My present setup (from *#1234#)
PDA: I9100XEKE2
Phone: I9100XXKDJ
CSC: I9100XEKE1
believe all available official samsung firmwares are issued do exist for different region(i.e. Kazakhstan is not included)
How safe is it to flash the 2.3.4 firmware now (KG2) ?
What can I possibly loose using the KG2 firmware from Samsung ? As u understand phone language is not a problem for me.....so wonder anything else I omit ?
Thanks for help
Sorry to bump in....
Hello, I am relatively new to forums, only discovered it since I got my galaxy s2, which was a month ago.
Anyways I have similar questions, and I read a bunch of topic which only made me even more confused about what to do, and didn't want to make a new thread so I bumped in here
If inappropriate, please ignore me.
Anyways, Ive got:
PDA: I9100XWKE1
PHONE: I9100XWKE1
CSC: I9100OJVKE1
It is an stock firmware, and I guess a ROM...
I want to update to 2.3.4 but waiting seems not to be a better side of me so I decided to do it manually.
My question is with what should I update with?
As far as I understand, latest official firmwares can be found in the Intratech's post ( the XXKG2 one ).
But I am worried about the CSC part, and how will it affect my phone?
As far as I understand CSC carries localization of a sort, for some network configuration, but my provider sends config messages, and only language I use in phone is English.
Will random CSC part affect me?
Can I even update from my current firmware to the latest one? or do I need to update to other one first?
Will update wipe my data? ( it seems no as far as I understood from guide )
Will the phone be full "stock" ( basically like I bought it with that firmware), and will I be able to update on later time with KIES ?
What kinda of problems (if any) might I expect with upgrading this way? ( if presumably I do everything as I should, i.e. as per guides )
Once again, I apologize for bumping this thread, and I thank you for any help you provide.

How can I find out what was my original firmware when I bought the phone. I flashed MG4, the latest one for S3 but KIES claims that my current firmware version is not supported to update via KIES. I saw somewhere that you can restore it with the help of S/N but can't understand how.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
GT-I9300 and your country. If you had unbranded version then it's unbranded, if not select proper branded one.
There's no other way to determine what you have, especially if you overwrited bootloader with other pure-stock flashed via Odin.

you can find it via kies.. for that :
1. switch off your phone, pullup the battery and note the serial no.(no mistake should be made)
1. Open kies and than go to Tools>>Firmware Upgrade and Initialization in kies.( you don't even have to connect your phone to do this)
2. Enter the model no as: GT-I9300 (no mistake should be made, everything should be in capital letters, you can copy this one)
3. It will ask you for S/N (serial no.), enter the one you noted in first step.
Thats it, it will tell you the CSC code(country code) and other informations(i have attached screenshot of mine), the one inside bracket like in my screenshot TTT is the country code. Than you can check in Sammobile for the the firmware and find out the original firmware which was when you bought the phone.

So did you checked for country code in sammobile, what older firmware are listed there?
My country isn't listed there somehow. As I remember when I connected my device via kies the day I bought it the csc was BTU or something that starts with B. Tho PDA was different.
Can't find my country there. Also my phone is Unbranded
Why don't you try flashing the MG4 one from kies, maybe it detects then... and can you tell your CSC code??

Check my product code is GT-I9300TADCOA , It's Tele2 from Croatia and I bought the phone from Tele2. So it think that's it.
- EDIT -

Hi,
I'm able to flash the Canadian A52 5G SM-526W with the stock firmware successfully using Odin both the complete firmware and just the CSC.
I tried to flash with SM-A526B, SM-A525M, SM-A525F unsuccessfully, it fails every time for the complete firmware or just the CSC.
Can anyone direct me to which firmware I can flash to this phone to activate the built in call recorder?
Thanks!
Indian/INS firmware should likely have it, but don't flash A525 firmware on the A526, you'll have problems.
I did try flashing with the A525 firmware but it just fails.
How can I use the Indian/INS firmware to add call recording to my phone? I tried to use just the CSC file with Odin from A525 firmware and that failed too.
You could try using the XSG (United Emirates Arab) firmware. I have it on my J7 Pro and it has the call recording function, not sure if it is the same for the A52 5G.
I'd suggest you flash the original firmware that came with your device first, then only flashing the CSC from the XSG firmware to see if you get call recording.
And use Frija to get the firmware, just go into its settings and turn on "Binary Nature" option for it to download the 5 part firmware instead of the 1 part firmware.
Sorry my bad, I didn't know there was a SM-A526W for the Canadian market only. I was thinking that your's was a SM-A526B, which is the international version. I don't know if the A526W will accept the A526B firmware, it might work or it might brick your phone.
Thanks for the help, it wouldn't accept the CSC from the SM-A526B firmware or the entire firmware already tried that. Any other suggestion?
Then no, you're pretty much stuck. I don't know whether any of the other Canadian firmwares have call recording enabled.
None of the Canadian firmware's have call recording and I have tried a number of different CSC using the *#272*IMEI# method which are available in the firmware. Guess its a no go

You dont have to change the CSC, just flash an unbranded EUX rom.
DTM is, where the phone was activated, if i remember it right.
If i flash a orignal EUX Firmware.
I still have waranty and the status is official ?

Since different people are asking different questions, let me post what I know and can help you.
1. You are trying to change CSC from A to B which belongs to same model, can be easily done using SamFW tool or you can also try Samsung shell exploit from S22 forums.
2. U to U1 can be cross flashed using patched odin, which will change csc too.
3. If you are trying to do cross flashing means your model no doesn't match the model no of CSC you want to have like XAA to INS then sorry it's not possible.

Again, you could brick your phone.
The best thing to do is use multi-CSC U1 firmware, such as OXM. This probably won't be necessary though as the US firmwares typically overlap with many other CSCs.
Flash S918U1 XAA CSC using patched odin. You can't flash S918B firmware on it, odin will fail right before it flashes anything. Use HOME_CSC to preserve data and eSIM.
