No thermal data CPUZ - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
i just recently changed a cracked screen on my mate 10 pro. While i was repairing the phone i replaced the thermalpaste on the device since the new frame/screen had none applied.
After a successfull repair i was curious if the temeratures have improved . So i checked in CPUZ if the temeratures are good but it only says "no thermal data". Now i dont know if i break something or its a software problem since i also updated to emui 9.0 before the replacement. The question is, did i break something or is this a software problem? I already did a chache partition reset.
greetings from germany , Petrich0r

It's bug in emui 9 or cpuz in combination with emui 9.

Huawei Honor Pad 2 unable to connect to Wifi after system update

Hi, this is my first time posting on xda forum, so if my post has some problems, I'd be delighted to correct.
So, I bought the Huawei Honor Pad 2 tablet about a year ago, and about last month it asked me to upgrade the system, and after the upgradation, the wifi icon becomes greyed out and I'm unable to turn it on. I tried to factory reset and wipe its cache partition but still no luck.
I dont know whether to flash its firmware would solve the problem but a few sites I stumbled upon, none of the links works(e.g. huawei-firmware rom links for my tablet model number don't work)
Some searches suggested it could be my hardwares malfunctioning, but since the wlan option greyed out problem only occurred immediately after the system update, I wonder if reflashing a new rom would work.
So I have run out of ideas, also I could not find honor pad 2 on the official huawei website, nor on xda forum, it mostly gives me mediapad as a result, but they seem different on pictures.
And some specs about my tablet:
Model: JDN-W09
Build Number: JDN-W09C233B023
EMUI Version: 4.0.3 (can't remember the original version but this is the one I got after that horrible system update)
Any helps are greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I had the same update, and we have the same specs, but tell me please how did you manage to get google play and all other google things to work?Maybe its because you are rooted?
It seems we are the only ones that we have this tablet, cos i can't find anything about rooting it or solve the google play problem without rooting. The worst thing is that nobodys bothering to make a post about it cos maybe the tab had been bought by a few people.
I don't have your problem, mine is working ok but my problem is way greater.I have done cache clears, download and intstall google services several times and some other tricks that i found on the net but nothing seems to work.
One click rooting methods:none of them work!
The οnly sure thing that we both need is a guide of how we are going to update the firmware to an earlier version(stock firmware)
Here on XDA i found only guides for phones of honor or tabs like media pad m2 that they seem to be similar but yet...i'm not sure.
I hope someone will take the time to answer on your post and our problems with this awesome tab!
I have also upgraded my Honor Pad 2 JDN-AL00 model to EMUI 4.0.3 B023 latest firmware and faced similar issues of Google apps not able to run anymore. I have tried to rollback the update by reflashing with older firmware versions. The update process shows success but when I boot up the set it still shows B023.
After researching the net, I think the problem could be because the older firmwares found in huawei-firmware.com are all OTA which means they are incremental updates. To fully rollback to earlier versions, I think we need Full OTA firmware. So far the only one that I can find on the net is B018 version. It’s abt 1.7GB. I have not gotten down to test out my theory. If you’re keen you can give it a shot and let everyone here know if it works...

Camera and Audio not working for some reason!

Device Model: RNE-L21
Huawei Mate 10 lite
Android version: 7.0
Hello, everyone.
A few days ago I switched from Supersu to magisk and everything was fine! However one day, my camera and audio stopped working completely (plus YouTube), :crying:
I may already know the cause of this:
It could be because I've restored my stock boot image too many times. Why did I do that? Because I wanted to completely uninstall Magisk and install it again to refresh some stuff. Now my device model just says this:
Generic_a15
However it was RNE-L21 before!
I've tried a lot of methods to fix it, but it still doesn't work! I've seen people saying an "RUU" will fix it, however I don't know what that is and how to do it. BTW I've already. Factory resettled my device but it still doesn't work! Pls help soon! :crying::crying::crying:

{WARNING} FDE AI module and K20 / k20 pro devices. must read before installing

greetings
FDE ai module will brick your brand new k20 pro device , and the bad news is , for good
your phone memory will get corrupted, the device internal storage will act all weird and lose the ability to keep information stored after a power off
hence the lose of information upon each restart
your system will become buggy , constant freezing of the phone , and an endless nightmare of formating /data /sdcard partitions
even using EDL and flashing a stock firmware wont help the problem, as the damage was done to the internal storage ufs...
so as long as there is no available fix to the FDE and k20 pro issue, DO NOT INSTALL IT unless you want to kill your device for ever..
now i know some users installed FDE on their k20 / k20 pro devices without an issue
but many many other users , including myself, got their phones useless just after the install of the module
so don't risk it and stay safe, k20 pro battery performance is already beyond great...
original post about the issue :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/help/random-freeze-data-wipe-reboot-t3950917
the warning deserves to be seen by all users, since alot are ending with a hardware damaged phone after using the module...

have you tried by changing the file system ?
Quax kernel supports f2fs file system please format with that file system and try to boot , let us know if its get solved.
works fine on mine.
Just lol
The thing is, if X amount of devices dont get a problem and XX amount of devices get a problem, this means it is not fde's fault but xiaomi. Such as exploding batteries, faulty screens, broken rils etc. It is just as simple as that. Blame xiaomi for making trash firmware. Fde is not the important thing in here, same issue can happen with any root apps/modules which is the same case.
Also want to remind you that it doesnt really touch on ufs or partitions, same goes on with other modules. There is no way you can get your partitions corrupted on a system(if you dont do something stupid.) Your system probably bugs out on a faulty or missing config then it crashes the whole system with messing up partitions(like hard bricked c5 ultra,xa ultra xperia devices). The point is fde is not faulty. Your firmware is. Now that you cant fix the phone with edl or fastboot rom, you have a dead phone. Blame it on xiaomi.(xiaomi also messed up modem config on mi6-mix2 because hw supports volte+vowifi but natively the firmware doesnt)
So, if i were you, i wouldnt root it at all. If a simple module like fde gets your phone bricked, any other tweaks like sysconfig-lkt-lspeed-nfs may do the same cause your phone is not stable. And probably xiaomi will not take credit on this
In this case, the fix must come from xiaomi. Fde cant do anything about it in this matter as it is the k20's firmware problem. Just pray that xiaomi will fix this. And dont forget, anything but fde may trigger the same behaviour so stay unrooted for at least 2-3 firmware updates.

Fyi, this problem is fixed in version 5.5
Some users who installed fde without having any problem, should've been using at least version 5.5, because the storage optimization is removed specially for Redmi K20 Pro/non-Pro
While we guys who had this problem, installed FDE before 5.5 which causes this problem.

warning is still appreciated, doesnt matters who to blame it. As i dont know if my device was gifted with this "xiaomi's fault" better stay away from this module. And, as i cant see nobody complain about this with root process or flashing magisk, well i guess no xiaomi's fault here, i'll keep doing this stuff...

And you still get it wrong. If something modifies or tweaks your storage then samething would happen.

i believe you are not understanding quite well. doesn't really matter who or why is the blame, there's nothing here to get "LOL" about.
the OP just made a really needed warning: the mentioned module was bricking k20 pro devices, so just dont flash it.
I havent see any single device with this problem after flashing twrp, not a single one. So i believe it is pretty safe, besides xiaomi problems... I do see some devices bicked after flashing 'fde module', should i install it? i dont think so... not blaming anyone, just do not want my deviced bricked...
"FDE is not the problem" will not solve any thing, crying for xiaomi clamsy job not gonna fix anything eather.
I believe in you my friend, must be xiaomi bad implementation... it's a pitty... but i wont flash fde...
well I'm using miroom firmware 9.9.6 on my k20pro. android 10. And I don't have any problems with FDE.ai magisk module at all. And right now I'm using FDE app without any problems too. I just want to add some positive info into this strange rumor...
I install FDE.ai 6.0 from magisk module and everything is ok.
ps: 9.9.26 EU ROM.
same problem
My k20 Pro have Same problem
device problem solved
You need install magisk unistaller on twrp
after clear dalvik cache
Hi guys,
Does anyone know if FDE has been fixed for the K20 Pro and Mi9T Pro devices? Is it safe to use on these devices?
I'm using xiaomi.eu 9.8.1.
Thanks.
I'm a Mi 8 owner and I ended up here because I was searching online about this bug caused by FDE. For me the story starts a Little time ago, I encountered the issues described by the op. Approximately I'm talking about 4-5 months ago that was the first time that the phone start ti freez and lag and mess up something with the system at the reboot. Than I find that the persist partition was wiped and After that I restore the partition the phone start to work again. But for all the 5 months randomly the system mess up, continously, even without the FDE module installed, even without root, my phone keep wiping internal partitions randomly. I tried all the possible solution, flashing via miflash, flashing via EDL mode, flashing only persist.img via twrp but after a little time suddenly, the phone return to freeze and wipe my data, every time. I don't know if it is fault of this module, but the problem starts in the same time that I installed that and the phone is unusable because I can't use my Memory because I know that I can lose everything at any Moment. Someone says that it's a UFS problem so it's Xiaomi fault. I don't know who is guilty. So be careful and if Someone can find a solution I'm glad to use that.

No problem here... EU version
No problem here. It was 94mb . Installed pretty easy. EU version. I hope sometime we get the android 10. But this is like science fiction....
They managed to screw things again. The luminosity bug after unlocking its present again and fingerprint unlock time is increased again. In february patch was resolved. I dont know why i updated. Image size of android increased from 11 gb to 12 from 94 mb size. Every time i enter photos images are reloading from cache, before was only first time you restarted the phone, if you add the flash from unlocking the phone , my head is already dizzy from these 2 things.
They are so low quality (trash) that they dont have a MI A3 phone to test it before they launch it. Made in China
PS: Anyone knows how can i donate my phone for their testing team?
I am having the same problem. I am currently on Android 10 Global Version. Did your March security patch problem got fixed??
I have installed flashed 10
But I can't update the security update to my device
Same problem
Having the same problem on my mi a2 lite. Is there any way to fix this, or this is developers concern.
It solved here
