rolling out to stable from beta - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Earlier, I had rooted my Redmi note 5. Then I have lost my root access somehow. While using BHIM app, it says "your phone is rooted. Proceed on your own risk". So, I have rolled back from miui 10 beta version to miui 10 stable version for Redmi Note 5 thinking it will remove completely the root access and BHIM app will work fine. But it did not happen.
please suggest me how to remove the remaining root access from my phone completely.

Install the update.
It'll atomatically break the root

Can I let my rooted Note 3 be updated?

I have two Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phones, SM-N900V. One has Android version 5.0 and I haven't been able to root that one. The other one has Android version 4.3, and I was able to root it from Windows using mobilego_setup_full818.exe.
Now that the second phone is rooted, I get daily unidentified popups, presumably from Verizon, asking me to let it update the phone. It doesn't say what it's going to update; I guess it's the Android version. My only choices are to let it happen, or postpone it; no option to refuse it permanently.
So question: If I let it update, will it undo my root? I'm worried that if it updates Android and I lose the rooting, I won't be able to root it again, like with the other phone.
On one hand I'd like to update the Android system because the current older one is preventing me from installing some apps, like Wells Fargo Banking, and Pokemon Go. On the other hand, I really want to keep the root, because I rely on it for using my phone as a wifi spot for my laptop, blocking ads, using Titanium Backup, etc.
Advice?
You can unlock the bootloader now, so updating, installing custom recoveries and root are no longer an issue:

Don't update over the air though. Update via Odin, then unlock bootloader, install TWRP, and flash SuperSU zip. Make sure to back everything up to a safe place.
Thanks; I'll check this stuff out.

Miui ota updates

I recently received the MIUI 9.6.3.0 system update. My device is rooted with Magisk installed and I am also using my stock recovery (I never replaced it) and I was wondering if I can install this update safely without uninstalling Magisk. I don't have a PC to fix any damage done to my phone and that's why I am asking.
Ota never worked for me with magisk. So I always do the pain of fullrom+twrp+magisk. [emoji22]

Cannot find netflix on playstore!

Hi guys, I recently came back to miui from a custom rom, and I cannot find netflix on my playstore. Play protect says device is not certified. So how can I fix this? I was on 12.0.2 then I switched to 12.0.3 and it's still the same thing.
Also I know I can root my device and fix it. But shouldn't be getting it directly if I'm on an official rom?
When I first switched to 12.0.2, I was rooted and phone was decrypted too. But then I installed 12.0.2 and didn't root and decrypt data. It was still the same thing. Then I moved to 12.0.3 and it's still saying device is not certified.
Also I just checked with root app and it says my device is not rooted.

Can I update rooted note by system update

I had rooted my xiaomi note 10 lite global just after I bougt it (year ago or something like that). I dont have TWRP installed (I remember I had a lot of problems to install it) and I am using Magisk. By now my phone is full of data and it is screaming there is stable 12.0.3 update available. Simple question- can I update it by system update or there can be some problems with bootloop, etc?
hello ! i think you can update it, but you'll lose magisk. To be sure, i recommend you to save all of your data in case of some problem.

Question Keeping Root after OTA?

Hi, how do I keep magisk and keep my realme gt rooted after an OTA? Last time I had an OTA I updated and my root + magisk were gone, I had to make a backup of my phone and reroot and reinstall magisk. I don't want to go through that process again, and on magisk there is an option to install to inactive slot, but I am scared to try it since this is my only phone and if its bricked then i'm screwed, and it doesn't seem like anyone else has tried it. My PC was reset so I would have to get all the adb and fastboot drivers and stuff all over again and I would probably mess something up somehow. I need root because I use Google Pay often.
My phone is a Realme GT 5G converted from CN to EU, with Magisk 24.3 (not alpha I switched from alpha to stable)
after going through this:https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/ota.html I can't even do the Magisk app → Uninstall → Restore Images step since it comes up with an error message saying something isn't found
Thanks if anyone can help
