Mate 20 Pro LED Light Notification - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi
I just got my Mate 20 Pro and I already noticed that when I receive messages on facebook messenger the little LED light at the top doesn't flash at all to notify about unread message. However when I receive snaps on snapchat the same LED light flashes green. Is there a reason why it doesn't work with messenger? I have searched a bit but I couldn't find anything helpful. I looked at the notification settings for messenger etc but no success. Does anyone know the solution?
Thanks

[Q] Is your notification LED working with Handcent or K-9?

Just wondering on this, cos ive read on there that some people got theres working others not. Me i cannot get the LED to work with either handcent on k-9! Anyone? Any work arounds? Same problems? Would be interesting to know. I've flashed several times now and still nothing. x
My LED notifications work but only when the screen is off.
I have handcent set to wake up the screen when a message is received, as soon as the screen turns off the led starts flashing to tell me I've got an unread message.
When I set it not to turn on the screen the led lights up on receiving a message straight away.
I guess this is the way SE intended or the way 2.1 is meant to run...
Yer so someone said. but mines really not working lol. x
LED notifications work fine when the screen's off, this is how it's supposed to be
With K-9 works fine, includind the colors for each email account.
The LED not working for me too .. I even tried to test the LED in the Handcent and no LED was blinking
Any ideas XDAs ?
As far as I tested, notifications are working fine. But I never noticed LED was working only when screen off

notification light blinking but no notification?

I'm having this problem where my LED notification light is blinking blue which it does for text messages, but i don't have any unread text messages. Kind of annoying. I'm using chomp sms right now (i have handcent installed tho) and i'm running gingerblur. I have light flow installed, idk if this would affect anything.

ummm....lightflow directly controls the light now.....you should look at your settings, its probably set to blink when off battery now, via light flow
thanks, i messed around with some settings in light flow and now its not blinking when the screen is off anymore now haha.

LED notifications - limited to one??

Hi,
I picked up on something recently - it seems that if someone Whatsapps me then I get an SMS (or vice-versa) I only get the colour of the first notification I received. So for example, I have my light set to blue with Chomp SMS and green with Whatsapp and I would expect alternating green and blue pulses if I woke up to both; however I will only get blue if an SMS came through first or green for a Whatsapp. I've tried different messaging apps, including stock, to no avail. I've also tried an app called Light Manager which was supposedly designed for the S3 but this just confused my phone and seemed to stop both notification lights entirely.
I can't remember if this occurred before I installed Jellybean or if this is a side-effect because chiefly it is a query my girlfriend has with her new S3 and is not something that worries me too much. She wants to be able to glance at her phone at work and see what each notification is for. It was one of the primary selling points for her over the iPhone.
Can anyone tell me if they have this feature available to them on other firmwares or if they have found a way to make Whatsapp, Mail, SMS etc alternative on the device's LED rather than just sticking on the first colour that comes in?
Cheers folks.

LED notification problem

Hey guys I got my canvas HD 2 months back and I am noticing a strange behavior with the LED notification especially with whats app messages. The LED blink red sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. But it works perfectly for other apps such as yahoo mail, sms, hangout, gmail but when it comes to whats app message notification it show some unusual behavior as it will blink for sometime and then stop blinking or it will not blink at all. Anyone facing the same issue please lemme know and how to fix it if its an issue.

Since update to Pie, notification led not working for some apps

I just recently updated to Pie on my Honor 8x - all stock JSN-L23.
What I have noticed is the LED no longer flashes green when getting Hangouts messages. SMS works fine for Google's Messaging app as well as Gmail. I also installed Spark and it also does not show LED light when I get a message. Anyone else experiencing this or is this completely isolated?
Thanks.
Here, the LED isn't working for any app except calls and sms in 8.1 and since I bought the phone.
The settings are set to use the light and vibration, but they won't go on. For example Twitter notifications never have sound, vibration and led, I checked and unchecked the settings one hundred times.

I wasn't experiencing any issue with led blinking until Pie. On Oreo, every single notification caused it to blink green. Now on Pie, only a couple apps work. Hangouts being one that doesn't anymore which is a real pain.
I tried using a third party app and it worked kind of but the blinking seems a little erratic and not as smooth.
Noticed that turning screen on when receiving notifications was also removed - at least I cannot see the setting anywhere .
